I bought a Samior snap blade utility knife from some random website and they also accidentally sent me two of these white OTF's. I loved it, but I've got a bunch of other knives that are in my rotation. So I ended up giving them to my Dad and brother and they absolutely love them.
I'll have to check this one out. I like the older version but I've had the blade pull out on me cutting heavier duty stuff. I tend to touch up the blades a few times before replacing them too so the screw on blade isn't a big deal while also being a positive. Having more blade exposed is something i really like too. I have dozens of higher end pocket knives but there's something about the utility edc knives that lend me to collect them too.
I got one of those first otf knife about 2 years ago. About a couple of days ago the mechanism starting to give out. When sliding back in it sticks and doesn’t going till the 3rd try. Was a great knife and the blades are held sturdy easy to change blades.
when ya make the upgraded otf with the quick exchange could ya make a blacked out one as well? like black screws black blade holder black trigger etc thank you
Next time you talk to Todd, tell him not being able to reverse the clip leaves the left-handed folks out in the cold. I would buy some of his knives, but not being able to reverse any of the clips is a no-go for me.
It's in the plan for a future model, if we ever come up with a v 2.0. T6 torx can get annoying, but if you go easy on them and always use a fresh bit, you will never have trouble. If a screw isn't turning using light torque, it may need some heat first with a heat-gun. Just don't he-man strength torque the screw whenever replacing the blade. We would love to do all T8 but the compact size of this knife (especially the body) would require a total redesign and huge production run.
What worries me is that I'm seeing the same exact otf on Amazon just not branded rocket razor. I've compared the pictures and it's literally 100% the same design. Not so good reviews on Amazon and I'm wondering if they are the same exact thing. I don't wanna pay 50 to 70 for something with a name on it when an unbranded one is on Amazon for 30$.
I have the butterfly and the previous otf versions. I use the butterfly at work every day the otf ones quailty just isnt there. Im looking forward to this new one
I would like it more if i could swap the straight utility blade for an ajc roofing hooked utility knife blade because i would like to add something similar with a hook blade to my girls car and my truck for emergencies after a bad car accident two years ago
Yup. From searching around I found these with no brand on Amazon for 30$. What's even worse is the reviews on Amazon are not making me want to buy this. Allot of people reporting the switch eventually moving freely and not opening and closing the blade.
@@Ohmed_88 you’ll get that on any otf switchblade. Just have to maintain them, cleaning and oiling. My $400 microtech is starting to misfire but I’ve been abusing it, to see how much itll take to fuck up. Compressed air and rem oil usually keeps it going great
@@Ohmed_88 I am curious on getting one. I have a few from wish and one missfires almost every time another on occasion misfires. Definitely the more you pay in this case and made in the USA usually is golden.
I prefer the older version. The newer model has a screw which needs to be removed in order to replace the blade…that defeats the purpose of convenience. It’s a great design otherwise.

Don't waste your time, it has been discontinued.

Been having the same feeling, wanting a gravity knife, but an otf box cutter is kinda great.
Reate EXO has a box cutter version coming. And it won't be crazy expensive.
holy moly that caliper :D
How did I miss this video? I need this!
Lol, what the holy hell kind of digital calipers are those?!?
Bruh what’s that caliper???

im in erie county and i had no idea about that 3in rule lmao
Haha yep. Most people think it’s the size of your palm, but everyone’s hand size is different. So that makes no sense lol
Try the cobra tech otf mines held up great ! About $80
Thanks for the rec
I'd buy one if it wasn't highly illegal where I live. Super cool design on the new one.

Still waiting for one that doesn't require SK5 blades
The handle should be designed so it can store the blade change tool.
Holy reverb Batman!
Oh well. What am I a movie studio? Move along Nancy
This is awesome
I need one
Love it!
Im going to wait for the quick release version. They shouldn't have used a T6. Too easy to strip. T8 or bigger.

It’s already been discontinued because it falls into a legal grey area, can’t get them from Arena Knives
Ah damn

The Bali is so freakin cool
@@ChrispyThings do you know when the OD green or quick release version is coming out?
@@jberts3141 hoping for late February, early March on the quick-change... it will also be available in the OD green.
@ArenaAccessories I'll keep an eye out. Thank you! If you can notify me, I'll definitely buy one!
@@ArenaAccessories I'm still not seeing the quick change did you ever come out with it?
that looks 100% identical to the one made by TGZUO. Are these just re-branded or did someone copy someone else?
Yup, Amazon is cheaper without the name branding all over it.
@@prestonwoelfl1244I tried the off brand, had it a few days now. It's awesome.
Why do I see a bunch of identical ones on Amazon but made by weird random companies and at a similar price point

I don’t think it counts since it’s a utility knife
Depends where
