I am surprised that MMA has a former BNSF locomotive. I've never seen anything like that up here before. I also learned they have a former Santa Fe locomotive, too.
they bought 2ed had shit. them LMX units were on long term lease to Burlington Northern till the BNSF merger took place. For years they sat in Utica, NY at the Ex NYS&W shops where they were fixed up and sold off to MMA and Providence and Worchester Railroad.

Yes - one man crew. Not nice working alone like that in and around such heavy equipment. Get in trouble and there is no help around.
Did it to probably save money but at higher risk.
