The Beastie Boys are legendary
Agree
This is still how I answer people “whatcha whatcha whatcha want, whatcha want” Hardly anyone gets it anymore but I don’t care
That's hilarious!!
I say it to my teenage kids all the time. They always look at me like I'm crazy. It is just too fun.
That's their loss!
Same, I have gotten some weird looks. lmaooo
I'm doing this at work tomorrow when the phone rings.
RIP MCA 🖤 💔 he was my favorite but still love em all
Of all the recent deaths of music stars MCA passing away hit me the most , so very sad , Loved the B Boy's
Days. We could spend days on the Beasties.

I grew up with these dudes, their music was beyond them. They didn’t know at the time thy were creating timeless rhymes, and a whole new sound. BEASTIE BOYS will always stay epic.

Yes, please!
Sabotage next! Classic schtick.
No Sleep Til Brooklyn
3 MC's & 1 DJ
Intergalactic
Sabotage
3 mc's would be good. That film clip is live.
thank you for including 3 MC's alot of people sleep on that track, its one of my favorites.
Love the Beastie Boys.Hey Ladies is a fun one so is Paul Revere.
He said howdy I said hi🤔😁
Paul revere!!!
That would be Keyboard Money Mark on the Hammond B3 organ.
They regretted a lot about what they represented in the beginning especially treatment of women. They addressed it once in a song called "Sure Shot." Where Adam says...“I want to say a little something that’s long overdue. The disrespect to women has got to be through. To all the mothers and the sisters and the wives and friends, I want to offer my love and respect to the end.”
I remember that they stood up for women in their acceptance speech during an award ceremony. I’ve always respected them for that
So.
They were just some young crazy kids when they started, but the grew up into intelligent musicians
@@lakermd intelligent response. Thanks for your input 😒
They felt the regret even more since they started out with a girl in the band.
In the summer of 92 this was a mega hit. It put them back in the mainstream.
Beastie Boys got a lot more mature from their Licensed to Ill days. "Sure Shot", "Sabotage", Intergalactic" and lots more.
YEEEESSSSSS!!!! My absolute FAVORITE Beastie Boys song!!!!! THANK YOU!!! Dancing at my desk in the library right now!
Man you are taking it back to my high school years this week lol
The Beastie Boys also played the instruments on their albums.
Super talented trio.
RIP Adam aka MCA, you are missed.
MCA was too cool for this planet. R.I.P., brother.
Oh yeah, and you should check out their song Gratitude. It’s fire.
RIP MCA
Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame members! Love me some Beasties! Brings me back!
R.I.P. to MCA. Gone way to young. Legendary hip hop.
Oh yes jay,. These guys have been around and around👍👍👏. Jay 💖
So far ahead of their time.
The 1st concert I went to was Lollapalooza 1994 in Houston, Texas when I was 15. I seen Smashing Pumpkins, George Clinton and the PFunk All-stars, and The Beastie Boys. It was AWESOME!!!
Wow! Where was it? The now gone Astrodome? Or Astroworld?
@@AlexiHolford It was actually at Houston Speedway
@@randycooper3428 - I don’t know that place. Interesting!
@@randycooper3428 - wait, the racetrack? Haha
@@AlexiHolford Yep.😁
That heavy voice saying "yeah" is Chuck D from Public Enemy. They used to gig together and are buddies.
Brilliant choice, another of theirs I think you'd like is Shake Your Rump,it's very funky!
Anything from Paul's Boutique is epic
@@kenttaylor9238 yes,my favourite rap album of all time, never get bored of listening to it
I´m so jealous of you... You getting to hear all the Beastie Boys for the first time! Man... Wish I could experience that again. Thanks a lot of for hte Mr. JayveeTV! Made a older gentleman happy for our Earth again.
Saw this tour at the State Palace Theater in New Orleans. Cypress Hill opened and The Rollins Band was the middle act. At the end B-Real and Sen Dog came out and did some songs with the B Boys
Long live Old school
Probably my favorite Beastie’s tune. So good.
“Pass The Mic”
“The New Style “ (Dave Chappelle clip).
3 MC’s and 1 DJ.
Make sure to watch the official video for 3 MCs and 1 DJ. It’s freakin HILARIOUS.
Ok the theme to my teen years lol love the beastie boys this song is my ringtone 😆
😂 that’s awesome
This song helped me understand music in general. So many factors. BB baby!!!
You gotta do
"Intergalactic", "Sure Shot"
"Sabotage"
yes please!
@JediCardTricks Oh definitely is
This is from their third album "Check Your Head", it's the album they decided to pick back up their instruments and blend hip hop, funk, punk, jazz, etc... From this same album, check out Pass the Mic, Gratitude, Professor Booty...the entire album is fire.
Gratitude was the Beasties at their tastiest!
So awesome that you got to these guys again. One of my top 3 groups of all time.
Word 🆙
RIP MCA
It pleases us when the younger generations start to understand greatness has no expiration date. Continue to seek out the classics @Jayvee
Check Your Head is such an amazing album. Not a bad track on it at all.
Love it, man. More Beastie Boys!
God this takes me back Jay.😎👌🎵🎤 Yep that instrument is an organ jay.👌
If anyone has not seen the beastie boys performance of this with cypress hill on the arsenic hall show you need to check it out. So epic.
...I've been watching a few reactions for this song over the last few days, you did your research and knew they were playing the instruments as well. Such a rich history and not only was their live act notoriously amazing for literal DECADES, but their give back to the hip-hop community propelled and launched careers, Public Enemy, LL,Cyprus Hill, Keith Sweat. And seriously one of the deepest and most quality series of work, bold, cutting edge at times, but always 3 MC's kickin it like no other could.
This whole album is Excellent! Damn! Check Your Head
I wonder if I'm the only one that listens to the boys just waiting for MCA to take the mic? RIP to one of the most natural hip hop voices, he was born for this.
"Where'd you get your information from, Huh? You think that you can front when revelation comes?" I've always loved this line. Flowed really well
Released. 1991 - US. Vinyl -. So hard to believe this is *33 years old!!!* 😊
The first time Public Enemy ever performed on stage as Public Enemy, they opened for the Beastie Boys. Beastie Boys took them on PE's first tour. LEGENDS.
"Fight for your right". Was their first big album " License to Ill". This was "Check your head." years later. They grew alot between then.
"No sleep till Brooklyn " was off "License to Ill" as well. It's a old school" beat down" anthem.
Current ringtone.
Good idea.
😎👍🏻
I saw the Beastie boys live, back in 1993. Incredible show. They played their instruments throughout the show. It was awesome
I was born the year this song was released, didn't know about them, and this was the first song I ever heard from them when I was around 12 thanks to an older friend, I fell in love instantly!!! I just love Bestie Boys ever since. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Finally!! Someone reacts to the GOATS!!
"Cool as a cucumber in a pool of hot sauce..." 😎
*bowl
Had the pleasure of seeing these boys live unbelievable group unbelievable artists..watch there show that they made about the group..RIP Adam McA YancH..❤️
Again 100% loving this Cheers Jay 👍🏼
I went to high school in a small Mormon town. Before The Beastie Boys hit the scene, no one would even consider listening to rap music there. Within a year of Fight for the Right to Party coming out, everyone was listening to Run D.M.C., LL Cool J, and more. I love these guys. There is a video of them doing Ch-Check It Out on Dave Letterman that is absolutely amazing, and proves how great they were and will always be.
Sabotage is my favorite. Though they do have quite a few songs that are good... and I like this one too.
Your can never go wrong with the BBoys🥰
Anything from Paul's boutique. That album is greatness. The dust bros did them justice on those tracks.
of course JV! The Beastie Boys are underrated! This nearly made me cry when I saw this. The magic rhythms of the beastie boys
Professor Booty from this album is straight FIRE, especially the verse by MCA. Crazy layers of beat variety.
The thing about the Beasties was that they started out as a punk band that evolved into a hip hop group. They took all the elements of Punk and fused it with this new sound which was hip hop to create something unique that would stand the test of time with their own stamp.
The Beastie Boys were sampling legends. They set the standard and broke the mold all with Paul's Boutique.
Brass Monkey, Paul Revere, Girls are my favorites from their first hip hop album License to ILL. They used to be a punk band in the late 70s.
Your reaction videos are the best because you ACTUALLY LISTEN to the music! Thanks for listening to one of the best hip-hop songs ever recorded.
these guys are likely one of the most influential groups in hip hop history. they really broke a ton of barriers with the New York style they brought to the industry. always will be Legends in my book. xD
"Shake your rump" It's already good by the title.
Beastie boys " The New Style"
They paved the way for hiphop artists today and reinvented their craft along the way. When Chuck D inducts you into the hall of fame and does it with passion you know you are the real deal.
The bars the ability to play their own instruments and the way they mix beats, all reasons why they are in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Definitely check out Root Down, Shake Your Rump, Paul Revere, High Plains Drifter, Looking Down The Barrel of A Gun just to name a few.
What I love about your reactions, is that you pay attention to not just the lyrics, delivery, but instruments on the song or samples. Thank you. It's refreshing
I recommend "Gratitude" and "Body Movin'". As well as the short but sweet "Heart Attack Man". I love that mostly because Mike couldn't stop laughing during pretty much the whole thing.
Such a great group. Please check out Pass The Mic! That's my all time favorite Beastie song!
I was a big Beasties fan and was blown away when this came out. What? They got even more amazing? First single from the third record.
I saw these guys and RUN DMC in England in 87. I can't tell you the importance of both bands at the age of 17 in Britain. That gig in Birmingham was incredible....
Those keys are likely coming from Money Mark's synclavier.
Money Mark Wiki: Mark Ramos Nishita (born February 10, 1960), known professionally as Money Mark, is an American producer and musician, best known for his collaborations with the Beastie Boys from 1992 until 2011.
Synclavier Wiki: The Synclavier was an early digital synthesizer, polyphonic digital sampling system, and music workstation manufactured by New England Digital Corporation of Norwich, Vermont. It was produced in various forms from the late 1970s into the early 1990s. The instrument has been used by prominent musicians.
No Sleep 'til Brooklyn, Sabotage, Pass the Mic... legendary.
Fun Fact, the beat they use here is sampled from Led Zepplin's When the levee breaks, but also, Beck, one of their contemporaries in this style, used this beat/bass combo for the song E-pro which is a song you should check out. A whole other rabbit hole with a massive musical catalog
The Beastie Boys are so creative - you should try Root Down, Sabotage, Shake Your Rump, Sure Shot, Hey Ladies...
They grew and changed so much over the years. They are so musically creative and have a great team of other musicians. Not just maturity in the music but also in their messaging.
Awesome..one of the best hip hop groups ever...truck loads of talent...album after album of brilliant beats and rhymes..no 1 in hip hop ever says a bad word about them..very well respected everywhere..
Right on!
Damn man, I watch so many of your vids and just now realized I was subscribed, I am now.
😘💕🕊
I LOVE THIS! I love that I'm seeing so many reaction vids to BBoys beats - it's awesome! ❣️
People forget how big they were and how much fun you had listening to them
Love this one Jay! Thats why these Boys are Rock Hall of famers!
Sort of a rock/ rap fusion is what i always thought .
Beck liked this drum beat so much he used it for his own song "E-Pro."
The very first song I absolutely memorized as a kid was Paul Revere. When I got that tape back in 86 I wore it out. I know I drove my parents crazy. I took my boom box everywhere killing 8d cell batteries constantly pumping it on full blast.
Brass Monkey, Paul Revere and Hey Ladies are all worthy of reactions. Their License to Ill album rocks.
Love watching you enjoy this ❤️
Pioneers, these guys were it. “Rhymin & Stealin”.
This is my fav Beastie Boys song
“Pass the Mic” and “Hold it Now, Hit It” are two of my favorite Beastie’s bangers. You can’t go wrong with these dudes though
I love when they bring Biz Markie into their songs.
Total legends never be replaced beasties are legends
I grew up with the Beastie Boys' music when it was new, I was a teenager through most of the 1990s. In addition to more Beasties, I _highly_ recommend reacting to some *Beck.* He's multi-talented, plays multiple instruments, fuses a lot of different genres including a bit of hip hop. He has some association with the Beastie Boys and has worked with some of the same people they have (the Dust Brothers produced both the Beastie Boys' "Paul's Boutique" in 1989 and Beck's "Odelay" in 1996, both critically acclaimed sophomore albums considered amongst the greatest albums of all time). *Beck* is that guy who won Album Of The Year at the 2015 Grammys, beating Beyoncé's "Beyoncé", causing an uproar amongst the Beyhive who had no idea who Beck was or that the Grammys aren't people's choice 😏 Beck's 2005 single, "E-Pro", samples the rhythm track from the Beasties' "So What'Cha Want", but I would start on the ground floor with Beck's debut single, 1993's *"Loser":* th-cam.com/video/YgSPaXgAdzE/w-d-xo.html
So yeah: please react to *Beck* next!
Had their poster of 'Check Your Head' on my wall of my dorm my senior year of boarding school. Crushed on Ad Rock
LOVE!
on repeat for the billionth time in my life...
One of my favorite songs and this is officially my new fave rxn channel
Love ya and thanks for being u x
Love hearting things I haven't heard before. Like this!
Beastie Boys: Paul's boutique. It's a true masterpiece.
Beastie Boys are my favorite group of all time. Their album Paul's Boutique is a hip hop masterpiece! Check out High Plains Drifter, Shake Your Rump, B-Boy Bouillabaisse. You can't go wrong.
Been going down the Beastie Boys reaction video rabbit hole. It's like hanging out with newly made friends.
