I took a few classes in Moy Yat Ving Tsun. Ive never done anything like this!! Im going to learn this art. Thank you for your time and effort for teaching.
I have been doing Wing Chun for about 6 years in total under two different teachers, although I have been away from my Wing Chun class for about 8 months due to mental health reasons. Your passion in these videos have calmed my heart and mind over the months, while helping me focused on various ideas while I prepare to go back to class. Thank you Sifu Dan. :)
I too can tell seafood. Dan is a very good teacher, which could take in person from him but compared to many many he is a very good communicator of wing Chun
I have been watching every Wing Chun video, learning little by little everyday. I thank you for all the online lessons and wish that you would open a school in New York so others and myself could refine what we've learned in your lessons and grow even further in our training. Thank You!!
Love the videos Dan…I practice Uechi ryu karate how ever your approach to mechanics is super relatable to what I’m doing and gives me a better understanding of being in a better position to defend…Thanks again!!!
I have really enjoyed watching this series because of the detail you provide and why it matters to practice it right. I studied Shotokan for a couple decades but I always want to learn more. I'll be watching these over and over... Definitely two thumbs up! Thank you.
it is a dream of mine to learn wing tsun, now at 45 i realize it and start. I am very grateful for these helpful videos. I struggle with fears and try to get them under control. Thank you again Important and not only to protect me, but also my family and people who need help.
Hello Dan , I did Wing Chun many years ago , when I was 17 years old. Then as I got older I lots of it. Now seeing ur video in train Wing Chun is Awesome. Well done , u brilliant trainer. 😀❤
Its Ron McCall from Harlem New York.I'm really like what you done. True inspiration in these trying times. I want to thank you for your energy and positive spirit.
I really like the fact I found your videos I was in karate as a young child and I lost intrest and I havent been abe to find a hobby but your vidoes and instructions have help me find my way of enjoying it again and I'm gonna pick up martial arts again
Hey Dan, Kudos for your various Wing Chun techniques, it’s concise, well explained and presented, among the best videos out there! Keep Up the Great Work with a relaxed style of sharing your martial arts with viewers, I’m sure it will inspire many !
Hi I’ve been watching your videos for a few months now and I’ve learned and absorbed some very useful information. I’ve been studying Martial Arts for 8 years now, but my learning opportunity is limited where I live. So, being able to make improvements by watching and practicing some of the concepts you teach has made my very happy.
You have definitely made me want to practice wing Chun more because of the way you explain with detail in your videos. I get picked on at school sometimes and when I found your videos one day I was able to stop some threats and pushes coming at me. I want to get better but there are literally no wing Chun schools around me. What do you suggest I do?
I am a beginner of Wan Kam Leung practical wing chun Manila. I appreciate Wing chun as a great martial not only to defend oneself but added knowledge on how to discipline oneself. I like your videos and added source of knowledge for my wing chun and two thumbs up, sifu!
Thanks Dan! I've been interested in martial arts and in wing chun for some time but wasn't sure if I wanted to invest myself into it. Your videos, covering the basics, have been encouraging and I am excited for the opportunity to find an instructor near me.
Currently watchin all videos of wing chun, see I want this part of my physical defense against bullies and ill minded people but all the more to protect my peace. Thank you Dan Lok
I have been inspired, you are amazing I have a friend who turned me into wing chun and I think it is awesome, I started doing this after my hysterectomy and feel great, I am still learning
Hello Mr Lok, absolutely brillliant and simple instruction. I have been trying to teach myself wing Chun during covid watched many videos and you have made it all make sense. Thanks again and please keep up the great work. Douglas
Hi Dan, excellent. I like the way you explain the reasons for the technique and how it works and how it doesn’t work if not executed properly. Watched many videos but I think your tuition is outstanding. Thank you . Ron
Hi Dan you've inspired me to go and take classes before I was training on my tree for conditioning and practicing blocks and deflects your knowledge and guide makes it really easy to safely and effectively use tan sao, biu sao, wu sao, and bong sao thank you😀😀😀
Dan, great video. I understand more about body mechanics and positioning of the elbow and hand after watching and listening to your explanations. Thanks!
Hello Dan, Excellent explanations and demonstrations as usual. You are a great student and teacher. I also watch your videos on business. I teach two different martial arts, Asa Kiniun, an Afrikan martial art and Escrima, a Filipino martial art.
Love your vids! You're an excellent instructor and can effectively communicate each move with strategic precision. I have taken an interest in learning Wing Chung, along with other Kung Fu styles; in addition to learning more about the Chinese culture. These videos have open my eyes all the more. Keep up the great work!
Be water my friend! You did an amazing job your videos helped me out a lot. I love the culture and Bruce Lee. I grew up watching his movies as a child almost every day after school. Being able to learn the basics is a blessing thank you! I can’t wait to get better each day with practice and dedication 🙏🏽
I fell in LOVE with Wings Chun a few yrs back I definitely intend to take a class ❤️‼️ and just discovering that you do it and love it has definitely re inspired me ❤️🙌🙌🤟‼️
Thank you Dan Lok, Now at part 5, so obviously found that decent Wing Chun guide. As I didn't want to dive into a "Live" class and find out I was being taught an incorrect technique, as there are 2 Schools for Wing Chun within 2 miles of my Hometown, both have v.good reviews, but different teaching methods. Having greatly admired the Ip Man film series, I wanted to properly learn Wing Chun instead of going back to Karate, after all, most defense centers around blocking with the Hands / Arms, then follow up with offensive counter-moves, rather than a sloppy Karate Snap, or Side-kick. Great series indeed.
Good morning my name is Tyrell Hubbard and I live in Talladega, Alabama. So I've been extremely curious about Wing Chun and I see the techniques and they look so graceful and amazing. Plus I see the power that Wing Chun has. I'm very interested in practicing and mastering, but I have no balance no skill of fighting whatsoever. I'm ready for a change and I feel that Wing Chun will give me that change and balance that I want.
I studied Wing Chun years ago, then I was a professional boxer for about 10 years. I’m getting back to my Wing and you’re right on point from what I remember
Hi Dan Lok I decided to join a tournament to see what my skill level is using Wing Chun and JKD. Since I only trained for a year with my sensei a few years ago I wanted to see where I was at. I came in 2nd because time ran out and 5 point we're not counted. Mostly everyone said I should of got first place. Later, I emailed the sensei I charge of the tournament if I could advance in the division the sensei responded. My student was so impressed with your strategy in the tournament that we are working on defending against your style. Well the words are not verbatim, but he did let me a white belt move up to the next division. Before this tournament I ask my sensei what videos could I reference too so I may practice my drill, I asked him about your videos he said very good videos to refresh yourself with the wing Chun and JKD drills. In May I will be preparing for another tournament refreshing and learning from your videos.
thank you for your knowledge and insightful videos on wing chun, look forward to practicing this swell as JKD from now on, please keep up the great work.
Your videos are very informative, motivating. I really love the discipline, technique, and heart about wing chun, im hoping to learn as much as i can, something new for me, but in time, and preserverence i will get there.🙏
Thanks Dan I really enjoyed the way you teach , I live in area where there is no wing chun at all so watching you can help all I need is wooden dummy and I will be on my way haha
Well, your stance video helped me find the right balance point, and now I'm practicing (every move super slowly, being mindful of every muscle in the action) my Siu Lim Tao. Just two days ago I went to a "tryout" lesson with an instructor who informed me about his lineage and the lesson left my body shocked (from not understanding why I refuse to fight back when instructor's showing something, plus I'm not used to being hit) but my head clear. I think you've done your job on me ;)
I realize now the importance of conditioning the ulna to cause damage to your opponent, Shen's reactions to colliding with your forearm makes that abundantly clear.
Great breakdown here Dan, it was great how you explained the thinking behind the technique! It’s good to know the concept, but even more effective with when and how to use it! Right on 🤙🏼👌🏽🔥🤘🏼
I think it's great i've watched them and want to learn more and always like Bruce Lee JKD, but i really want to learn Wing Chun to get in shape and feel better, thanks Dan
Thank you Sifu Dan! There is a lot of Wing Chun I do but don't know why, like Sil Lim Tao, what does it mean? Same with Wu Sau, I just thought it was an "on guard" position, now, I know better. Thank you so much! I LOVE Wing Chun!

Hi @@maddmaxx5384 , how's your training going?
What's the difference between wu sao & man sao?
How can i overcome fear

Your videos are helping me practice on my own so I'm better prepared for class. Thanks for breaking it down so I can follow along. What an art!
Your videos have much clarity in explaining the art and science of wing chun!! Take a bow!!
Hello Dan , I did Wing Chun many years ago , when I was 17 years old. Then as I got older I lots of it. Now seeing ur video in train Wing Chun is Awesome. Well done , u brilliant trainer. 😀❤
Watched the beginners series. Was exactly what I needed. Best explanation on these basics I've seen . Thank you.

My memory has lapsed, and I have to say I forgot it was Bruce Lee , who is one of the first trainers in this Martial art. WOW. 😀❤💕😲
Thanks Dan! I've been interested in martial arts and in wing chun for some time but wasn't sure if I wanted to invest myself into it.

Hi Dan Lok
I decided to join a tournament to see what my skill level is using Wing Chun and JKD. Since I only trained for a year with my sensei a few years ago I wanted to see where I was at.
