Presence is actually my second favourite Led Zeppelin album (after "II") and Achilles last stand is IMHO their best song. It's funny how people tastes can vary with regard to the same band.
@@mrboulder9714 Yes. Any really weak album in their discography. Hard to choose favourites, when you know that even those on the bottom of the list are still fantastic.
8: Led Zeppelin II 7: Presence 6: In Through the Our Door 5: Led Zeppelin I 4: Led Zeppelin IV 3: Led Zeppelin III 2: Physical Graffiti 1: Houses of the Holy
my led zeppelin album ranked: 1 - led zeppelin 2 2 - led zeppelin 3 - houses of the holy 4 - physical graffiti 5 - led zeppelin 3 6 - in through the out door 7 - presence 8 - led zeppelin 4
Always interesting to hear your thoughts in these ranking videos. I never listened that much to Led Zep myself (I guess I'm more of a Deep Purple and Black Sabbath guy) so I'm most familiar with their hit songs, but there's no denying that their influence on rock music was absolutely fundamental.
Nice ranking, James! ZEPPELIN have always been one of those staple bands for me, and I seem to enjoy them more as I get older. I often think that their music has been overkilled, but when I actually put it on and listen to it, I still really enjoy it! A timeless band! It would be difficult for me to rank all of their albums since I'm not really familiar with the last one, but I agree that 'All My Love' is a fantastic track! Oh, and I love 'The Ocean', haha! For me, I'd probably say, Best: I, Worst: III, Most Underrated: Presence. But hey, that's just me! :D
Great list! No Zeppelin albums are bad! Amen. 👍. We kinda have opposite opinions on In through the Out door. I don't care for South Bound Saurez, but I love love LOVE I'm gonna Crawl. It's all good though, that's the beauty of it
@matthewfreiley645 Definitely a flawless discography. Different opinions are good, it would be a dull world if we all loved and disliked the exact same things. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers
Excellent stuff mate. Led Zepp are on e of my favourite bands. Cool ranking. Its always interesting to see other people's ranking. I have the same albums in my top 3, but the order changes depending on which one I listened to last. Cheers 🍻 🤘
Black Sabbath and Deep Purple love to be included in the so-called "Holy Trinity" of hard rock groups w/Zeppelin....who wouldn't love to be included in any group with Zeppelin? The reality is, as a band, comparing Zep to Sabbath or Deep Purple is like comparing apples to oranges or apples to steak. Zep's musical range is incredibly diverse and eclectic - they went places musically the other two bands never dreamed about going. All great bands, love them all, but let's face it: neither Sabbath or Purple could have done anything like D'yer Maker, Fool in the Rain, Rain Song or Ten Years Gone, and in truth not many bands compare to Zep in that regard.
Yes. They were very stylistically eclectic, and yet never lose a bit of their musical consistency as a band. Not many bands can achieve that. Rock, rock&roll, blues, funk, reggae, country blends so well on their albums.
@@hectorvegasduque2234 I agree. Led Zeppelin were capable of many things, but they could never have given birth to stoner rock/ stoner metal like Sabbath did with Master of Reality.
Great ranking there James. Can't argue too much with it. I think the good thing about the band is they can go from hard rocking to chilled out so easily and like you say Page knows how to use the chords well. Plus they don't do filler, a couple of weak songs like you say on the later albums but what band doesn't have those.
Awesome ranking James! I know how much Led Zep are a huge band for you. I really enjoy them, but I haven't listened to a lot of their stuff. There's a lot to get through, least I know where to start now. Cheers man 😊🤘
Led Zeppelin 3 being so low down is proof at the amazing music in their discography that an album of that quality is low down the listing. Thanks for watching and commenting 👌

Did you say at around the 11 minute mark that you much prefer to hear original material? Your listening to the wrong band my friend! They ripped off much more than 2 songs 😳
Well done, good list!

And Led Zeppelin couldn't have dreamed of doing something as heavy, ahead of it's time and genre pushing as Master of Reality.

what is a "Foo Fighter"???
No idea
btw what IS a Caroselambra???
Google it
Semantics and all, but I'm inclined to say, "least great," rather than, "worst." And then there's all those transcendent live boots....
Thanks for watching
You lost me at your evaluation of "Presence," although, I get it. With so many great albums to choose from one of them has got to be at the "bottom."
I know it's bottom of the pile but I still enjoy Presence. Thanks for watching
You forgot the album Houses Of The Holy, why isn't that here?
I haven't forgot it, it's at the 8.34 mark
"Tea for One" RULES!!! That & "Achille's Last Stand" are great but skip all that filler between them!
There's more good ongs on the album

4 sticks is the only filler on 4
I don't personally consider 4 sticks to be filler but it is weaker compared to the rest of the album. Cheers for watching
