Greatly appreciate your sharing of these techniques and ideas. I've done some research on the history of gingerbread cookies in the middle ages and would like to introduce glazing of the cookies with a sugary syrup to resemble ice. The technique is called icing but not to be confused with Royal icing. I think I will try to glaze the roof pieces prior to attachment to give a frosty illusion. Your icing details are inspirational. I'm going to try my best to emulate your stylings! Thanks 💚
a bit late but really cute! I've recently started working at a pieshop bakery and so I wish we could do stuff like this but obviously.. It's a pie shop haha. Cute for home though!
Hi I'm from Trinidad. I love your cake design. It so beautiful and fine. It has the level of beauty in line. And that look like a label and shine. Please keep making more and more art design cakes 👌👍
You're right, those are really fun to make! To make them, form a cone from some green fondant. Then with scissors, go around from the bass of the cone to the tip, nipping at the fondant in a spiraling pattern.
In one of your gingerbread house videos you mentioned templates on your website. I can't find them. Could you please provide a link to those templates? Thank you. We're having a great timing making a gingerbread house.
Hi. In our first video we show you how to use the templates and the link to download the templates are in the description below that video. Here’s the link. th-cam.com/video/_32H72oQxG8/w-d-xo.html
Would you please tell me if you used baking soda or baking powder? Would you also please tell me how big each side of the gingerbread house is? You said how big the dough should be. Thanks in advance.
th-cam.com/video/_32H72oQxG8/w-d-xo.html Check out part 1 of this series for more details. We used baking soda and measurements are shown on pdf attached in the description of part 1 video.
maybe. Gingerbread is a bit stronger of a cookie so it's ideal for construction. But, if you wanna try it maybe scale down the size of the house and see how it goes. No promises but worth a try :)
This is actually part 2 of a 2 part series. Here's the link to the first one where we show you how to roll and cut the panels. th-cam.com/video/_32H72oQxG8/w-d-xo.html
This was a super cute project! We hope you try making your own house at home! As always, let us know if you have any questions!
When filming, you spliced so that we didn't see how you made the christmas trees. :(
Gorgeous 😊❤

Love the saran wrap idea. I have never had luck getting them neatly up! Started later in life, though.
Great tip about the Saran Wrap, usually a load of bottles and cans holding up walls while it dries. Lovely job xx

Totally agree.
I built 4 gingerbread houses
Cool
I’d sure like to see how you designed those trees around the gingerbread house.

I like How do you made your gingerbread house
I know that i'm actually really late, but is it possible if you do a video on the recipe of the royal icing?
-Thanks
We actually have already done a video on royal icing: th-cam.com/video/O1hgrEJ_IY8/w-d-xo.html

Can we do this with sugar cookies? My daughter and I hate gingerbread, but really want to make a house without wasting it after.
