Ngl it took me a few listens to really get into it. I don’t think they’ll ever release anything that’ll fully grab me like Alien did, but this is still a solid track. Love the groove and electronic elements

The thing that must be mentioned here is just how little Mr. Nocturnal actually cares about his own marketing. The entire intro including twitch and spotify linkage in 6 seconds and then right into the video is fkn legendary. 🔥
Wow, I didn't much care about their previous stuff, but each new song is a banger. Also, as a 90' baby, I really appreciate nu metal vibe, since that was the era when I first got into metal, and there is a soft spot in my soul for it. ❤️
Good chorus, with great vocals, but I was really holding on for a totally different rhythmic change in the mid section and more of a breakdown perhaps. I love Northlane and really excited for the album but out of the four tracks they’ve released so far from Obsidian this personally isn’t my favourite. I think Clockwork and Echo Chamber have been the best so far.

Also, octave jumps are often used in djent, as in modern metalcore such as Architects. All this can be heard, both in this song, and for example in Plenty, or Freefall, or Metamorphosis
i hate when people make this comparison, not every 7 string tuned low as shit is a mick gordon ripoff. these guys were tuning low low, WAY before he did it. he didn't invent 8 strings man. it's like saying every band who plays 7 strings is a Korn rip off. northlane has moved from djent to this crazy kind of club-metalcore/edjent. its badass. not mick gordon.
Grows on you the more you listen to it. The ending breakdown could have been chunkier but that’s their song and their choice. Echo Chamber is still my favorite of all the singles
