- Life is all about the simple pleasures. One of them being playing as a tiny robot with huge guns blasting other robots into a million pieces.

Man this game is full on nostalgia for me. I still kept the good old gamecube and the disk stored away somewhere.
Howdy partner!
6:16 Are you INSANE?!?!?…. The guns have GREAT feedback, enemies twitch and react to being shot, the sound effects are punchy, explosions are great AND depending on where you shoot you can destroy certain limbs of an enemy. Weapons feel great to use in this game imo.
100%
the game was way ahead of its time in many ways
especially cause only a handfull people worked on it on a really tight budged
having juicy gun sounds, lighting effects, ragdolls and arms, legs etc that can be cut off was unhead at the time of 2003.
and the graphics on xbox looked extremely good
Most video game aren’t reinventing the wheel, very few games revolutionize a genre, this game is more iterative than anything and it has some very cool, unique mechanics that help it stand out. It has destructible environments, hacking/controlling different robots with unique weapons, vehicles, squad based mechanics etc.
While a lot of these mechanics are unique of fully original on their own, it’s how the game seamlessly integrates these mechanics that makes it unique. What games are truly revolutionizing the medium and doing something COMPLETELY new? All I care about is if your game is doing what it sets out to do well, and if it’s fun and engaging. That’s all I care about!
Metal Arms: Glitch In The System may be inspired by games like; Ratchet & Clank and Halo, but it has enough differences, and does enough things of it’s own to not be completely derivative of either game. Besides what game isn’t derivative, all games borrow elements from each other like, that’s how you iterate and fine tune and genre, no game is completely 100% original, every game borrowed something from another game. Metal Arms: Glitch In The System is not different…. But still has enough unique stuff and combinations of different mechanics to make it stand out!
You do great work. Keep up the videos!
Great vid as always brother! Would be awesome, if you could show us a little sample of the soundtrack after mentioning it! Keep it up!
Finih watching your play list you just got ear a new Sub from me
Great video. Another hidden gem I'll try out soon. Thanks a lot for bringing it into the light, Lanslet.
Fun game, good review
Yey broo keep IT up
I loved this game on ps2. Is it just me, or do they not make games like this anymore? A fun engaging single player game that the story and gameplay alone is enough to keep you hooked. no bs or any other gimmicks
the story is horrible in this game. it starts off with a whole idea and then abandons it
I remember the driving levels in this game being so difficult, little 7 year old me couldn’t figure it out 😭
I feel that, the driving controls are not intuitive at all
This is a great video! Only feedback is to provide more visual examples of the art style and level variety. Keep up the great work!
there's overhaul mods for this on dolphin
