I was a US Army Military Police enlistee who served in the late 1970s. I almost always preferred working with female MPs because they were often more stable than many of the men I worked with. They never tried to abuse suspects, like some of the men.
I am so glad and grateful that my shared daughter got her 20+ years in before this shiggity. Her sister does'nt have as many years in. I really hope she can achieve all her goals too. These 2 young women are as tough as nails. Go Air Force!
The female military vets in my family had to march as many miles as their male counterparts in full gear, in 100+° degree desert heat, while wearing a mask that filters gasses, and definitely were in combat with my brothers. I'm speaking on those women who did not give up, and some reenlisted after more than 1 tour of duty. It's shameful to downplay a woman's military readiness and service. Shame on those who do!

My main gripes were 1) Having double standards in the physical training standards for females, even in supposedly elite units, I consider that stolen valor. 2) Having to constantly hear about how "heroic" military women are and how they had to be supposedly better than men from the fawning liberal media, even though the women had the standards lowered for them. Ok so Hegseth was an Infantry combat platoon leader and Jaslow was a quatermaster. There is a big difference between infantry and quatermaster, which is nothing more than a wharehouse supervisor. They both served but one saw combat and one did not. I served as a PJ before both of them when everything was just getting started but didnt see combat. Therefore I dont claim to be a combat vet and no one that didnt see combat should either.
How do you know Jaslow didn't experience combat? Were you there with her? I was a quartermaster (E4) in the army and deployed to Iraq and earned more combat awards including the CAB, than my deployments with the Marines (MEU 24). Do not assume a persons veteran status because of which branch they worked under in the army.

@keithcass257 that's more of an opinion than fact. For the countries that allow women to serve in their military, I would assume that they view it as nothing new. For the countries that don't allow women to serve in their military it can be viewed as positive or negative. For male combat members it is hard to see female counterparts being wounded or killed in battle. That view isn't shared by all but is by many. The enemy can also view it as a sign of weakness.

I served 6 years in the US army some active some reserve. Not a Ranger and not a combat vet. But if you want to do a little research you will learn that the US Army did in fact allow female Ranger School attendees to graduate under a lower set of physical standards.
