FYI those $1 homes in Italy are real in a lot of villages, but there are rules. Most of them need serious refurbishment, like complete stripdowns, and the restoration has to meet certain standards. Also, these are not quick flip things. You aren't allowed to sell them for a number of years. But they are real and would be really cool for the right people.
Not having a mortgage would be such a massive game changer. But I'm wondering if the locations are decent places to live. There have to be some massive catches because I'd expect people who can't afford a home in the US to buy these out instantly.

We need Medicare-For-All/a universal healthcare system in The United States! What's more "pro-life" then ensuring everyone living here has guaranteed affordable healthcare regardless of their job? If we all have access to healthcare, we would have the "freedom" to live long lives without having to worry about medical bankruptcies. Taxes will go up, but overall medical bills will go down. If some of us need additional healthcare, then we have the "choice" to acquire private insurance. If every other developed country (Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Israel, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, & New Zealand) can implement this system & save money, then why can't The United States do the same to help "Make America Great Again" for everyone when it comes to healthcare? Finally, if people in The United States die from a lack of access to affordable health insurance then we are failing our country's promise of defending "life, liberty, & the pursuit of happiness" for its citizens as well as "promoting the general welfare" of everyone living here.

I'm embarrassed for our country that the rest of the planet used to look up to us as an example as a higher standard every other country should strive for. 50 years ago when Nixon was busted as a criminal effing our country in the @$$ even his own party took him aside and told him to get the eff out that they couldn't support a criminal in the White House. Now the rest of the planet has watched our country put a convicted felon not just one felony but 34 felonies in to our White House and his own party makes excuses rationalizations+ justifications and the rest of the planet sees this and thinks that this only happens in corrupt third world countries.
If he wasn't a billionaire he'd be In a federal penitentiary but now hes gonna face zero consequences for 88 felonies which would immediately disqualify him from thousands of other jobs. He lied and said President Biden raised taxes and that we were in a depression neither of which are true.
I could go on for 10 more minutes but it just gets me upset that standards have dropped so low. I'm so disgusted it makes me never want to do my civic duty and vote or get involved with the political process ever again that something like this can happen where the criminal gets way more votes than the prosecutor.

We need Medicare-For-All/a universal healthcare system in The United States! What's more "pro-life" then ensuring everyone living here has guaranteed affordable healthcare regardless of their job? If we all have access to healthcare, we would have the "freedom" to live long lives without having to worry about medical bankruptcies. Taxes will go up, but overall medical bills will go down. If some of us need additional healthcare, then we have the "choice" to acquire private insurance. If every other developed country (Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Israel, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, & New Zealand) can implement this system & save money, then why can't The United States do the same to help "Make America Great Again" for everyone when it comes to healthcare? Finally, if people in The United States die from a lack of access to affordable health insurance then we are failing our country's promise of defending "life, liberty, & the pursuit of happiness" for its citizens as well as "promoting the general welfare" of everyone living here.
