Great Explanation for Getting "Organized" for a Guy that struggles with taking the time to do that! Thanks so Much!

Hi Amanda! Great video - exactly what I was looking for! As a social media consultant and coach, items can become lost easily if there isn't a great organization system in place. This was really help full. Thank you so much for sharing. 🙂

Hey Amanda! I'm just now watching this video and just wanted to say thank you for creating this! I have such a hard time staying organized and I really thrive when I can keep myself organized, but can't seem to make it happen without some guidance. I very much appreciate it. This totally simplified my Google Drive.

Great video idea! I had not considered using Google Drive for backup and organization files until now. Previous to this, I only used it to send client files for photo and video. Now I see more potential and Google has some of the lowest cost online storage out there.

Absolutely! It's a game changer. I do prefer Dropbox for large video files though!

Thank you for the video. We are a cosmic synth pop band who have files scattered about everywhere. We have several projects to plan and keep track of (including other bands and side projects). This video was very helpful to get us starting to organize our documents.

New to your channel -- I am a band leader/manager or a gigging rock cover band and feel like a lot of your content will be helpful, as I am finding it much like running a small business - revenues, expenses..... booking videographers, engineers, studios, guest musicians, equipment, managing promoters etc... lots of newness for me. Anyway, I look forward to learning more... I have somewhat of a structured google drive for the band -- but this has inspired me to go full throttle. I actually have a couple different google drives so that I can share lot of stuff with vendors and venues on one and not the other. But I think ill be doing some house cleaning this weekend. Also going to watch your video editing workflow video -- we constantly need to produce promo videos and content but its SOOO time consuming, that it actually gets in the way of me learning music, practicing, gigging etc..... ya know -- the real thing I am trying to do. I need to get better at it or I will slowly stop doing it and our stuff will get stale. We have paid 1500 a few times for professional videos but cant do that too often, so to keep putting out content we have to go the DIY route and its so hard.
BTW -- thank you so much for not starting each video with "Hiiiiii guys!!!!" - if you do that on other videos, no offense - but the 3 videos of yours that I have seen so far, you have not and it was so noticeable and refreshing that it actually put a smile on my face and made me click subscribe and all notifications (that and the content of course, but alot because you didn't say hi guys... you have great openings)!

Fantastic info! I am someone your parents' age (a baby boomer) and I found this so helpful as I develop my second career as a book coach/ghostwriter/TH-camr. I have been drowning in info even though I thought I was fairly well organized.

Glad it was helpful! It takes some time to get organized but SO worth it once you do!

Thanks! This system could be quite useful if implemented. A fellow content creator with hundreds of audio and video files spread around hard drives and cloud storage options...
Your channel came up as suggested not long ago, and find your videos really helpful!

Amanda, fantastic as always! You are WAY more organized than I'll ever be, but hopefully, this will help me. I work with entrepreneurs to personalize their messages to their clients to keep them top of mind.
In regards to email, do you put a copy of the actual email in this folder or do you jot down highlights of your conversations? Do you ever cross-reference files by placing them in multiple folders?

Great question! I just put the email in there that recaps the sessions and next steps. That way I can quickly check it before the next call to know where we left off on action steps.

So good! 🔥 I just went through an organized my Dropbox, haha. I ended with 9 folders too, yay!! And guess what - one of those folders is "Children". I saw that you have "Baby" folder in your personal... well, children became so central to my life that I gave them a top-level folder! 😉

Hey there. Thanks for the video. I'm currently merging my google workspaces. I am a solo-preneur. I am a voiceover artist with a few different sub-categories that I treat differently. I'm trying to decide if i should merge all my sub-brands together or keep them separate....any thoughts? tips? Thanks!

Hmmmm how much work would it be? Could you just pull over relevant files and leave the old ones in the corresponding files as an archive? But then again, if you have to keep paying for the Google workspace then I prob would move everything into one place!

1IRST! now are we going to sort this comment numerically or alphabetically? - I'm thinking of starting up a business where I help local small businesses learn how to make their own marketing videos. I'm also the Worlds Oldest TikTokker! (well, close to it)

hahaha I love it! You've beat me to TikTok ... the whole security issue has stopped me, but I'm getting more and more tempted by it. What's your handle over there?
