If you like *Opeth*, especially the singing melodic stuff, you need to check out their song **Windowpane** from the Damnation album. The whole album is acoustic.
Every time but once that I've seen Opeth live they have closed with this song and it never fails to blow me away. An absolute classic. For a Live version i'd recommend Opeth - Deliverance (Live at Shepherd's Bush Empire, London)
The red rocks version is a much better quality recording, obviously some people complain about Mikael's growls not being as good but they sound fine to me.
@@Terminxman Indeed, the Red Rocks gig as a whole is great, and the recording is one of the best live audio productions I've ever heard. That version always seems to be the one suggested, and i can see why. I suggested this one though as it the line up that wrote and recorded it, Mikael's vocals were at their peak around this time (not that he's "bad" now at all.. just different) and I prefer Martin Lopez' drumming on this version.
Great reaction! I'm a drummer, & the way you were reacting to bass & drums is exactly how I feel every time I hear this song. The guitars & vocals are equally amazing though. 🤘🏻🎸🥁 🇨🇦
My first time seeing a reaction by you but I love that at the start your eyes perc up when the riff kicks in and then during every key translation you can see the gears in your mind running as you process it all. Don’t always need to be constantly talking, the reactions physically says enough.
The Steve Wilson Effect 🤘🏻 multi-instrumentalist/artist Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) co-produced the self-titled record "Deliverance". Steve’s remix stays true to the character of his original mix from 2002 while bringing out even more depth and detail to the intricate arrangements and refined their musical genre even live performances ♫ Cheers from UK 👍🏻
Martin Axenrot and the drummer they have now are technical monsters and show some nice creativity. But my God, Martin Lopez, while maybe not as technically sound as they are, had incredible flair to his drumming and was so creative when combined with Mikael's riffs. Lopez's drumming in Soen is not that interesting to me, it must have been the synergy between him and Mike that brought out such incredible drumming. While this song might be his best individual song, his best performance was Ghost Reveries, his final album with them. He definitely went out with a bang.
Blackwater Park, then THIS song, and the "acoustic" album Damnation are really the Opeth that had and still has a deep effect on me. After I lost them a bit more and more release after release, but this is my personal feeling. That ending of Deliverance is... yeah quite something. Funny, around the same time Gojira released their second album (I think a bit before opeth's deliverance), and Remembrance has this crazy ending we all know, that ending of Deliverance did connect to Remembrance in my head I remember.
@@neonskepetunije With the opener "Windowpane" you can't go wrong and it's a good song to start the album. I also really, really love and I think they are both my favorites, "In My Time of Need" and "To Rid the Disease", which are also maybe even darker and beautiful, but it's a very close call. "Closure" is a close contender too. But the whole album is a jewel, and other people will rather pick other favorites, which is normal. Really good tastes, cool channel as usual. edit : I just listened the album again, here is my quick ranking: To Rid the Disease In My Time of Need Windowpane Closure Hope Leaves etc...

My absolute favourite band for over 20 years. No one can take me for such a fantastic ride.
Unique & amazing.🤘🤘🤘
one of the best outro of all times ( along with Gojira's "remembrance")

Adorable reaction.
My favourite Opeth song is Time of Need. Very haunting. Great band. Great Swedish band.
