Great survivalist advice 👍🏻 Don’t forget power bars, a paracord bracelet, flint, lifestraw, Coban wrap for wounds, a good quality multitool, chapstick, antibiotic ointment, at least 5 days worth of doxycycline (10 pills). The doxycycline will cover you for most open wound infections and prevent pneumonia if you develop a respiratory infection from sleeping out in the cold under stressful conditions. Lastly, your flashlight and your weapon. If you have a permit for concealed carry, then carry and make sure you have two spare mags as well! Be safe 🇺🇸
Consider adding a tourniquet to your first aid kit, I think it's more effective than quick clot although it's probably not a bad idea to have that as well.
True but when you need a tourniquet the last thing you wan't to be doing is trying to make one especially if you are the person bleeding out. They are about $25 online and designed so that you can apply it to yourself with one hand if needed.
it never fails, I've been watching hundreds of these videos from a lot of different people and there's always 1 or 2 dislikes. I don't understand if you're interested in this how anyone can hit the dislike button. I've only seen one video on paragliding that had 0,dell must have missed that one lol
This is great. I don't usually bring the keys but it's always a debate. My prop allen wrench is wrapped in duct tape for wing repair but I hope I never need it. You are right that Woundseal might be handy (works on 2 inch lacerations) as would a quick tourniquet but first aid kits can grow quickly. I think the more solo stuff I do, the more there is to think about.
should also carry any meds you may need for a day or two
That's a excellent point and going to pin your comment to the top so hopefully others see it. Thanks!

Anything can be used as tourniquet

People just love to hate, doesn't bother me as others have gained from it.

Styptic powder is the antihemmoragic (blood clotting) powder you were talking about. They make it in pens now as well.
Good stuff! Man purse... I'm man enough to rock a purse too!
Great video Brad I'm really glad I subbed, How long have you been flying a paramotor? Those are some fantastic tips thank you.
