Thanks for the tips. This will be my first winter with my paramotor & before I ended up crash landing into a tree the other day, I found it difficult to brave temperatures under 30 degrees F. After I get my equipment repaired and sorted, looks like i'll be investing in some heated gloves and a vest. Maybe heated socks too, my toes get very cold even inside my thinsulated boots.
I love my power in motion glove liners. I use a thin leather glove as a shell to keep out the wind and they keep my hands comfortably warm. This will be my second season with them and they still work like new. I didn’t like the batteries in the wrist as I found it to be very uncomfortable. I always use the provided power cord and keep the batteries in an inside pocket of my winter jacket. I didn’t know there was a vest by power in motion. I’m definitely going to look into that. Thanks for the glove reviews. Keep the he vids coming. Winter flying for the win!
I don’t see the vest/gloves combo setup you have. I saw the motion heat gloves but not the vest setup. I like the idea of having thinner heated liners and then take on and off heavier outer shells as needed. For a flight suit you should check to tobe onesies!
I was just wondering it was never brought up but maybe you could connect an extra battery pack (ie. 10,000 MaH)to extend the life of the vest and gloves for even more fly time. would really like to know if this is possible. in theory, it seems possible.
Are there any restricted airspace for paramotors? Are you allowed to fly long distance? Are you allowed to land on a field behind a Tim Hortons for a quick coffee break?
Bought some Sabot Heat gloves from Amazon - excellent heat, had to turn them down two levels as they were so warm but unfortunately they only lasted two flight days and then one of the gloves developed a fault
Hey Brian, it was a flight suit I got from Kangook a number of years ago. Sorry I am not sure off the top of my head what the actual manufacturer is but I will check the next time I get out there!
For other activities I like to say, The Gear doesn't make the activity possible it makes it more comfortable. In your case, gear might keep you whole and airworthy. Good stuff!
@@fly-guyalberta3605 Hope you're doing well, friend. Just stopping by to thank you for inspiring me to fly. I'm a paramotor pilot of 48+ flights now ~ 30 hours and it's everything I ever hoped it would be.

The disposable hand and foot warmers work pretty well also.
Flight suit is probably a good investment. I can't wait to get into it, though I am concerned about motion sickness lol

are u suppose to take the cooling shroud off of the paramotor when it drops below 0
no change to paramotor motor ? like the carburator or ratio oil/gas ?

Anyone have some other good tips and tricks to beat the cold?
Where have you been?
How do you keep your goggles from fogging up and what goggles do you use?
Has not really been an issue for me. I use a pair of good quality Oakley Ski goggles.
Nice video. Can you please share the brand, model of your flight suit?
