How to Build a Career and Start a Business

We are taught to do well at school, graduate from college and get a salaried job, build up a retirement account, and grow in our career ladder. Some become proactive and make their way into management to enjoy the premium earnings while working the same or less. Others struggle and continue working in non-managerial roles with little to no promotion or salary increase. Starting a business early in the career is a great alternative for those people, compared to taking a chance of getting into an executive role at a company or agency.
Some people take pride in making their boss happy way more than get excited about achieving a milestone, bringing a new product to market, or creating impact otherwise. The reward for this type of behavior is smaller than one that can be achieved by starting a business and putting your energy into developing and providing services as an entrepreneur.
A 2017 world Gallup poll showed 85% people in the world express some level of dissatisfaction with their job. Educational system is set up to train people to have an employee mentality, and as a result while 70% would like to work for themselves, only 7% actually do that. That can be changed if people took controlled risks and applied their knowledge and experience through starting to provide consulting services, and possibly creating products. The goal is to not get impatient, take your time, not quit your job until the business revenue is up to speed, and think of a business from a long-term outlook.
