I had 2 snake boards back in the early 90's! You need to get the bindings that hold your feet onto the platforms. The bindings that I had were velcro that goes over the top of your feet and a padded bungie that went around your heals. I skated that down at the YMCA skate park in Encinitas. When I dropped in on a half pipe, I started facing in, parallel with it and had one of each wheels under the front toes over the metal pipe, then just took my lead foot and rotated 90 degrees and dropped in. I even remember going to a snake board competition down at the San Diego Sports Arena!

Draganboard and Alterskate are two companies making boards like this old snakeboard. They're all part of the "streetboard" family and they're not hard to ride -- just different. My 8 year old daughter would have made this a much different video 😂

Dude that's not a rip stick that's an OG snake board! My neighbor friend had one right after I got my 3 wheeled cambering vehicle to try to replicate snow skiing on asphalt and its about as hard. Its more for being able to pump forward in a grapevine motion to convert lateral motion into forward momentum and it totally works. Rip sticks are more about torsional twisting like you do to control the shape of the edge on a snowboard.
