- In this video I go over and test a really cool old Airgun, The Crosman 2200. Anyone else think Crosman should make more stuff like this and less crappy Chinese airguns?

I don't have to imagine, I did have one! My grandpap raised me and he was very old school, he had me shooting at a very young age. I remember seeing the 2200 and the 2100 in a store way back in the 80's, and the 2100 was the first one he bought me. Of course I kept asking about the 2200 as well, to which I eventually did earn that one as well from him.
All of my shooting skills etc were learned from him, lord rest his soul. So if I seem like a very old school style shooter, that would be why. I was lost for years after he left us, but I just use everything he taught me and hope I'm even half the man he was. 🍻
Thanks for the great comment.
I had one as a kid and it was a constant companion in the large vacant lot near my house. The stock attachment left much to be desired but otherwise it was a beast.
I rebuilt one just like that for a local friend very cool
Greetings Nibbs. I saw your post so I'm saying hi. R, Steve
Got a 2200 and they do need some tuning. I have stripped it down and resealed it. Best thing you can do is recrown the barrel and make at least 3 tight fitting sleeves for the barrel. I make them
on a lathe out of acetel and are about 2" long and are spaced inside the shroud. You can drop JSB 14.3's at 20 yards in 1/2" all day long. I also get 600 fps on 8 pumps.
I have a Crosman 766 that I bought brand new in 1980. I think it cost me $32. It still looks and works almost like new.
I love vintage airguns my grandpa has an old crosman 760 pump master with the block pumper handle and he refuses to give it to me but hopefully one day he will budge
Hi Mr. Shoot. I bought one of these a couple of years ago. The bolt handle which is also the probe broke. I found a guy who makes replacements however, he fits an O ring onto it. That O ring seals the breech and raised the velocity. Also the shot to shot velocity became more consistent. I think many of the parts are shared with the 2100. R, Steve
*If it says Coleman on it it is most likely an older one!*
_From 1971 through 1989, Coleman of Wichita, Kansas owned Crosman. In 1989, MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings of New York acquired Coleman and sold Crosman to Worldwide Sports and Recreation. In 1997, an investment group headed by Leonard Pickett purchased the company._
Do they still make .22 cal pumpers other than the 1322?!
Not that I can think of or I just never noticed.
Definitely a good looking unit!
Those vintage guns bring back so many childhood memories, I had the Crosman 760 power master and the Crosman 66 power Master, when they were made of actual metal and wood
Recently restored a Daisy 822 , has wood furniture with a metal receiver and pump arm . And it didn't cost 400.00 . Sweet Crosman there . Enjoyed the video .
That old 2200 Crosman pumper shoots good and looks great. Never saw one like that before.
I bought one at Best department store in the early eighties did a lot of squirrel hunting with it
Fantastic condition. Honestly wish I knew that gun existed 30 years ago…. Hahahaha great rifle, great video. Have a great weekend homie.
Thanks!
WOW 😲... awesome Vintage 2200 Travis 👌!!! Thanks for the Video 👍. Cheers from 🇨🇦🍻🙏.
Thanks for watching!
Great gun!
I just re scoped mine last week!! ❤❤
Awesome vintage pumper and review. That is a beautiful gun. I love seeing these older guns.
Nibs already commented I saw, but definitely where I would start my questions if I was trying to work on or repair an older rifle.
That baby looks brand new!
A friend had a old Benjamin (brass frame) 22 cal pellet rifle that at close range he killed deer with it. Kinda interesting in the right hands what a pellet rifle is capable of.
Awesome! Love the black and chrome look! Cheers!
Great job Travis
i have 11 months old Crosman 2100B classic shoots 8,500.00 pieces of steel bbs and 350 pieces of 177 pellets and still good to shoot! 🙂 🇵🇭
What a motley looking piece of weaponry.
I am envious. That is a great looking and shooting rifle!
And yes, I wish Crosman would make products of this quality today!
Got one mid 80s pure joy cheers sir from u k
Looks really neat, first time I have ever seen 2200. I know Nibs probably also has 1 because he has every gun under the sun. I think you probably not going to shoot this all that often due to not being able to get spares
There’s quite a bit of parts on eBay. But I won’t be using it all the time and try to extend its life a little bit.
mine looks like a trunk gun 😬, yours is so clean 😎
Great video boss ! 👍👍
I got a 2200 and a Tasco scope for Christmas 1980.
Awesome!
Early 80's should have the half size valve like my first version
Model One
Half size comparison to 13xx ones.
So combined with the longer pump stroke makes it a higher pressure system instead of a larger volume one.
They also can have full metal or half metal pump piston in them.
Someone was making brass flat top valve tops that small size on the GTA years back and I got a couple to be able to hopefully add to the performance my Model One has. And it already has great power like on par to my blue streak or 392 but I'd like it to be up with my Rebel so that's why I'm building a flat top set up for it.
Back when I first got it I didn't have any chronograph but now I have four so I'll know for sure.
$0.02
Excellent condition! Always wanted one, yeah I’m jealous 😂 I’d be trying some JSB Express and RS. Great video 👍👍
I knew kids in the late around 76 was either a crosman 2200 or daisy 822 fan. If I remember right the crosman was more expensive. I believe the daisies were a little more powerful but my memory may not be so good lol great video brother
Awesome 👏
Gosh that gun is a beauty.
2:24 If you do need parts, it probably uses the same basic pump linkages, valve and seals as the older 2100s or later 766s. Wish they still made a .22 on the 2100 platform like this, but I guess the 362 would make that redundant nowadays.
How cool
Bought one new at Gander Mountain when I was a kid. I had saved money for awhile to get it and was excited when I had enough. Somewhere around 1978? 79? or early 80? I got it. The squared off reciever made it look like my Browning BAR 7mm Mag deer rifle of that time. Thought it would be as powerful or more than my 5mm Sheridan air rifle from 1973. NOPE! It leaked air quickly and even if I shot it immediately it wasn't anywhere near as powerful as my Sheridan. Back to Gander Mountain it went. The day after I boight it I returned it for a refund.
Nice gun buddy
Cool gun. You need to find the right pellet for it.
The GTO 11.9 work well
I got rid of all my pumpers now regret it Sheridan blue streak 1968 shot with good power accurate and easy to pump.....my Benjamin 432 was like new and a nice old Crosman 140
I had a 177 cal crossman that looked similar to that when I was a kid i used to kill racoons and opossums that would get in our chickens with that gun ive bought a couple newer models and they don't have half the power that the one I had as a child did the one I used to have would shoot through an animals skull at a distance and the new ones barely shoot through a soda can
Interesting that the stock is black, they are normally brown. I had one, I think I got it in 1982. That one seems a bit underpowered.
👍😉🇳🇱
Look likes it needs help...... 1.5" at 55' isn't good at all...........
