Last night I was at your concert in Milano, and I was just one of the 80.000 enthusiastically hopping and screaming... Your songs have the flavour of sun and rebellious freedom☀️ you are still f*****g alive, indeed!
It's an established fact that Green Day are a better, more ambitious group than Blink 182. This song is a perfect example: the themes, and emotions explored here are timeless. They are as valid now as they were in 2009 and they will be just as valid 10, 20, 50 years from now. The song writing is just so damn incredible, this band's legacy will live forever.
It’s impressive that this 11 year old song talk about the problems of the world that use to have back then but it’s applicable to today’s problems if you analyze it, nothing has change at all...
Green day has the balls of steel for talking the truth against government or society! No other bands in this generation can make a song about social topic!
THE LAST ONE BORN AND THE FIRST ONE TO RUN 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 21st Century Breakdown is the best song in its own album and it’s not even close. Minority may be the best sound ever produced by any source in the known universe, but this song genuinely has the most badass and satisfying lyrics of all time. this is like Jesus of Suburbia, but better. Especially in the first part of the song, the lyrics are super kickass and flow amazingly, with awesome phrases such as “i was made of poison and blood” which implies that Billie Joe isn’t actually a human; rather an unbound entity with the ability to create the most beautiful and complex musical melodies in existence. Green day is my life

Raised in the era of heroes and cons
That left me for dead or alive

My debt to the status quo
The scars on my hands there a means to an end
Is all that I have to show
I swallowed my pride and choked on my faith
I've given my heart and my soul
I've broken my fingers and I've lied through my teeth
The pillar of damage control
I've been to the edge
And I've thrown the bouquet of flowers left over the grave
I sat in the waiting room, wasting my time
And waiting for Judgment Day
I praise liberty
The freedom to obey

Nikad ne bih od balkanca ocekivao politicku korektnost ali eto izgleda da i mi idemo u picku materinu
if u like this song u should listen to "when i come around"
Shameless plug
I LOVE THIS SONG
Easily the best Green Day music video.
Imagine traveling to 2009 to experience this work of art up close again 🤩
I felt so hardcore, listening to this song in my room back when I was 11 years old. All of my friends listened to Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber but I was a big fan of Green Day
This was Billie’s *REAL* emo phase, despite being almost 40.
His hair isn't emo at all
Нейтральный Маппер
It is tho
@@realWoolf759 i mean, yeah, he has fringe, and black straight hair, but it's all, nothing else from emo hairstyle wasn't taken and classic emo looks different
@@НейтральныйМаппер-з2м he also had eyeliner on
@@НейтральныйМаппер-з2м clothes are also emo
"My generation is zero, I never made it as a working class hero"
Hits hard
Last night I was at your concert in Milano, and I was just one of the 80.000 enthusiastically hopping and screaming... Your songs have the flavour of sun and rebellious freedom☀️ you are still f*****g alive, indeed!
I like how the criminal couple are recurring characters in the videos, really adds a bit of a story.
well they are the main characters of the rock opera
True. I still love it.
"Established fact" = "opinion"
@@diegobrando2750 Blink 182 is basically boy bands with guitars lmao
Underrated song.
Very much..
I could not agree more
DeluxeWarlock underrated album
love these guys!
It’s impressive that this 11 year old song talk about the problems of the world that use to have back then but it’s applicable to today’s problems if you analyze it, nothing has change at all...
This wasn't an album. It was a warning. It was a prophecy. And we didn't heed.
Green day has the balls of steel for talking the truth against government or society! No other bands in this generation can make a song about social topic!
Umm hello? MUSE anyone? 😂
THE LAST ONE BORN AND THE FIRST ONE TO RUN 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
21st Century Breakdown is the best song in its own album and it’s not even close. Green day is my life
I actually wish one day the two parties can hold hands and solve problems together.
Same
and then make out platonically
and then make out passionately
@@JimmyFallonUwU that'd be so hot
This is in my opinion, the most underrated Green Day song. I really liked the 'first half' of the song, and the last 30 seconds the most.
I love this part! 1:50
This is without a doubt one of the best songs I have ever heard in my life.
@@nicolasmartinez4655 Gracias 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Stay strong through the darkness day there is a son that shines
2:26 those vocals, I love when artists do shit like this with their vocals
I hate it when I'm talking to a "fan" of a band but their like it's all on the lead singer as if it's a solo career
Trevor Yeo Well...yeah, if he's writing all the music. Although I'm not really sure they're very transparent with who does what.
Yus I feel you but it depends who wrote the songs
Or those annoying black veil brides fans that talk too much about how hot Andy looks
Bvb fans are the wrose at that I hate it so much Andy isn't Bvb Andy,Ashley, Jinxx,Jake and CC are BVB and Billie isn't Green Day, Billie,Mike ,Tray and Jason's Green Day and Garred Way isn't MCR so are the other members of MCR and James Hetfield isn't Metallica James,Kirk, Rob,Lars,Dave,Cliff,Jason are either are or wore Metallica

This Song Has A Deep Meaning and Advance In This Century We Lived
4:12 This part sounds so incredible, I can’t get over it
Their most underrated album, sadly.
By far my favorite album!
So is 1039/Smoothed Slappy Out Hours and Insomniac.
My favorites are American Idiot and Dookie. Nimrod was pretty awesome as well.
Liam Walsh Nimrod is epic.
Soheilus It is. I like all their stuff. I didn't really like Redundant, though. I think that was on Nimrod.
We will die one day, but our comments will be here for ever. And the song will be here for ever too.
Hmm
Damn
Interesting facts about the song:
The first verse is basically Billie talking about his childhood in Rodeo, CA
The kid that's shown is supposed to be 10 year old Billie
Not just a song but one of the greatest art pieces of the 21st century
GreenDay : (2.25--2.30) " Born on The Fourth of Julllly ".
Me : Still listening to this and today is the Fourth of July 2020.
I'm not the only one !!!
