Advice on administering treatments to a diabetic pet

I as well , am going crazy , sad , anxious so many feelings ... My poor baby just got diagnosed , am having such a hard time giving him his injection .... am searching easy ways to administer it ... send a prayer out for my baby ,,, I hope your baby does great as well ,,, blessings

My vet says i have to pull the needle back before injection to make sure I am not injecting into blood vessels. Is that typical? He moves so much during and I missed the dosage.
