In comic we will see Miss. Pauling speaking with the Administrator about solider and demoman is friendly but they aren't same team. Miss. Pauling is too young.
And she mentions that the Administrator hires assassins to take out Miss Pauling every few years. So she not only hired a child to do her bidding, but she occasionally tried murdering that same child throughout her teenage years and into her adult life. TF2.
I think it’s worth mentioning that Miss Pauling is starting to have some doubts about the Administrators plan, or at least its implied. The latest comic starts off with Miss Pauling talking to a figment of the administrator, where she asks her what her plan is and that she hasn’t questioned it before because she trusted it. The administrator then implied that Miss Pauling no longer trusts the plan like she had by asking her why she is questioning it now. I guess Gray Mann got to her a little.
If Ms. Pauling was being truthful, working for most of her life under the Administrator, she may have been employed as a naive teenager. Her never asking was just the habit of not knowing what to expect that young.
Wasn’t it technically made canon that the main “red” team had brought over some of the blus, including scout and soldier or were those tidbits from their “Meet The” videos and the War Update just written out?

My personal headcanon as to why Pauling is so loyal to the Administrator is similar to why Fang became the number 2 to M. Bison in street fighter 5. She realises how powerful and influential the administrator is and knows that in a world with people as powerful as that, the only way to survive is to work for them. As long as she's her number 2, she'll be safe from almost anyone. Making sure the Administrator continues to amass power is a matter of job security at the end of the day.

I feel like the comics and shorts have made Miss Pauling from a minor character into a pretty great main character as the writers realized the potential for her character. She just has such a great dynamic with the mercs and is memorable in her voice lines (I kinda wish that the Jungle Inferno contracts could have used her contract voice lines as well). Also I like how in this video you talked about the voice actor for Miss Pauling, it was some nice extra trivia that makes me want to hear you talk about other character’s voice actors. -The next Complete History should be of Trevisha from Teufort-
I actually found it really interesting when TFC heavy revealed that there were other teams aside from team fortress and it’s something you don’t really think about but when you hear it directly it makes a whole Lotta sense I mean nine mercenaries to fight a whole war I doubt the red and blue brothers are that cheap
To be fair they’re the best mercenaries around, but it does make sense there would be more teams as naming the team (team fortress) indicates that there are more teams and they need to be able to tell them apart rather than just it being team red and team blu
Could just be the writer's personal headcanon on Pauling, and that's fine. TF2 media is always written by a team, unlike JKR assuming direct control of all Potter media. Different creators can have differing opinions on aspects of one franchise and still write good stories anyway.

As a Gay™ woman myself, there's a panel in the comic that really made me go "oh... Oh she gay, ok" it's very subtle but I always saw her as a Bisexual or lesbian character, I didn't know about the whole Twitter JKroling thing that happened with the writer

Personally I’ve always had a spot for Zhanna, but really you can’t not like Miss Pauling. She is just amazing in the comics and personally I wish there were current contracts that use her voice lines
Also, something funny I just noticed, the sound that plays when Pauling gets shot in the contract call is HL2's pistol sound, which is probably a coincidence, but I'd like to think Valve did it on purpose as an easter egg. Also, her gun sounds like the Pretty Boy's Pocket Pistol, which means either Scout gave it to her, or she's got one from the seven million surplus guns the mercs get from Mann Co. every day.
I don't know whether or not to take the writer's word on Ms. Pauling being a lesbian, because first and foremost it's pretty clear she at least entertained the idea of a date with scout in expiration date, and whenever writers just randomly "confirm" these kinds of things out of the blue a good while after making an established character, J.K. Rowling comes to mind.
Her sexual orientation was never established as it doesn't matter, but if you want to go there, when she was confronted about eyeing at the Soldier naked by Zhanna, she is disgusted by the idea, and the reason she was looking in that direction was because she was eyeing Zhanna's naked body, not Soldier's.

People watch drunken bar fights when they happen and you often see people staring at car accidents when they drive or walk around them. It's normal morbid curiosity. I think the reason why the date between Ms. Pauling & Scout didn't go anywhere after Expiration Date is right there in the last dialogues before the end of the video. Ms. Pauling admits that she only gets 1 day off per year but offers to let Scout come with her on her normal work day...One of those days that she mentions was "I've got to assassinate someone who falsely triggered the Intelligence Alarm...Oh wait! I love your content man, always have been. Even when I went on huge tf2 breaks for ike. 6-7 months you have always been. super entertaining, I know you might now see this, but your content is just super good.
Y'know, the mention of how most of the Mercs have sub-average IQs got me thinking, and honestly I don't really know how that can be. Heavy, Scout, and possibly soldier (though then again he did somehow manage to become an actual lawyer and a priest, so who knows) aside, everyone either has an average or above average IQ level with the only oddity being the pyro. Demoman, despite having a very serious drinking problem, seems fairly well educated in things like chemistry (a simple example being his rant about why he's a good demoman) and other things that relate to calculating and timing his grenades and sticky traps. Sniper is at the very least, no idiot, and a decently experienced assassin who is, as expected, an incredible marksman, though it's understandable why he might be possibly just slightly below average intelligence, but it is by a VERY slight margin. Spy is a very well trained assassin and is very competent and capable of outsmarting his opponents. Lastly, medic and engineer are both well educated and have a number of degrees under their belts, though medic is just a tad bit insane.
Scout, Soldier and Pyro have sub-average IQs. Demo is an expert in explosives, Heavy has a degree, Engie has 11 PhDs, Medic is, well, Medic, Sniper is pretty intelligent but also pretty paranoid and Spy is pretty smart.
Scout can't read Soldier is Soldier Pyro led a company to their highest quarter yet Demoman is an expert in demolitions Heavy has a PHD in Russian literature Engineer has 11 PHD's Medic was a doctor Sniper is probably average Spy is likely above average
After the last Team Fortress 2 comic, it appears that The Administrator has “one hour” left before she dies, according to Dell, (Dell is the Engineer). I think Miss Pauling could take over The Administrator’s role.

I always interpreted her to be bi personally. I feel like it would be weird if she was a full lesbian, though. Nothing wrong with being one, or having a lesbian character. I don't know dude, as one of the gays, I remember reading the comics and specially one of the panels in the last comic that made me go "oh, she gay". I guess it's very subtle and it can be just my personal experience changing my perspective on the character, but I can totally see it.

It's not really out of nowhere if you read the scene where Zhanna and Soldier get naked and cover themselves in honey. But regardless, is just a random fact, I don't get why people make such a fuss about it, if the writter twitted that Pyro liked gummy bears no one would question it, they would just take it as some random irrelevant fact about the character.
Robert Daley soldier definitely, in that same comic Zhanna tells Ms Pauling to stay away from her man She responds without saying anything about her sexuality and, though this is not definitive, it could be an indicator Regardless, her reaction to Zhanna was fairly normal and to sniper it was more about the fact that sniper sees himself as a professional and ms Pauling was asking both Zhanna and Soldier to be professionals, seeing sniper naked shows to her that maybe professionals fight naked? I guess

I don't know whether or not to take the writer's word on Ms. Pauling being a lesbian, because first and foremost it's pretty clear she at least entertained the idea of a date with scout in expiration date, and whenever writers just randomly "confirm" these kinds of things out of the blue a good while after making an established character, J.K. Rowling comes to mind.
Her sexual orientation was never established as it doesn't matter, but if you want to go there, when she was confronted about eyeing at the Soldier naked by Zhanna, she is disgusted by the idea, and the reason she was looking in that direction was because she was eyeing Zhanna's naked body, not Soldier's.

People watch drunken bar fights when they happen and you often see people staring at car accidents when they drive or walk around them. It's normal morbid curiosity. It was also a part of the comics when Ms Pauling was physically and mentally disoriented from getting all her blood taken by blood-sucking robots and medic having to put it back.

I always felt the administrator is Ms Pauling's mother. She has that overworking trying to prove herself for approval but never getting it.
I think the reason why the date between Ms. Pauling & Scout didn't go anywhere after Expiration Date is right there in the last dialogues before the end of the video. Ms. Pauling admits that she only gets 1 day off per year but offers to let Scout come with her on her normal work day...One of those days that she mentions was "I've got to assassinate someone who falsely triggered the Intelligence Alarm...Oh wait! You're already going to be there for that one."

Y'know, the mention of how most of the Mercs have sub-average IQs got me thinking, and honestly I don't really know how that can be. Heavy, Scout, and possibly soldier (though then again he did somehow manage to become an actual lawyer and a priest, so who knows) aside, everyone either has an average or above average IQ level with the only oddity being the pyro. Demoman, despite having a very serious drinking problem, seems fairly well educated in things like chemistry (a simple example being his rant about why he's a good demoman) and other things that relate to calculating and timing his grenades and sticky traps. Sniper is at the very least, no idiot, and a decently experienced assassin who is, as expected, an incredible marksman, though it's understandable why he might be possibly just slightly below average intelligence, but it is by a VERY slight margin. Spy is a very well trained assassin and is very competent and capable of outsmarting his opponents. Lastly, medic and engineer are both well educated and have a number of degrees under their belts, though medic is just a tad bit insane.
Heavy has a degree in russian literature which makes him more of a doctor then medic
Scout, Soldier and Pyro have sub-average IQs. Demo is an expert in explosives, Heavy has a degree, Engie has 11 PhDs, Medic is, well, Medic, Sniper is pretty intelligent but also pretty paranoid and Spy is pretty smart.

I always interpreted her to be bi personally. I feel like it would be weird if she was a full lesbian, though. Nothing wrong with being one, or having a lesbian character. It's just that in expiration date she showed a level of interest in Scout, and it would be kind of strange to just reverse that. So yeah, I agree.

I don't know dude, as one of the gays, I remember reading the comics and specially one of the panels in the last comic that made me go "oh, she gay". I guess it's very subtle and it can be just my personal experience changing my perspective on the character, but I can totally see it.

Nah, because the comics aren't finished yet. JK was bad bc she said everything after the fact. The fact Pauling is gay can still be brought up in later comics, hence making the progression more natural.

The miss pauling being gay is kinda outta nowhere, but the comic writers can do whatever they want with the characters. It would make for a funny gag from time to time.
It's not really out of nowhere if you read the scene where Zhanna and Soldier get naked and cover themselves in honey. But regardless, is just a random fact, I don't get why people make such a fuss about it, if the writter twitted that Pyro liked gummy bears no one would question it, they would just take it as some random irrelevant fact about the character.
for now, miss pauling is non-sexual (aka, "we don't actually know"sexual) so, until confirmation appears, scout will forever be missing shots
