      I stumbled upon your videos & now I’m going to jump right in - I’m doing this for health reasons (thyroid issues) but I love how simple you make everything (I have a family of 6) and I feel like this is why it will be so successful for us !!       What can I say.....you are such an inspiration, and lovely in every way. Your total honesty in showing us your stretch marks makes you even more real. I am not obese, 43kgs and 5'2in but I am vegan mainly WFPB and eat this way for good health (I have a long history of rheumatoid arthritis) and my love for animals. I have been following you and Hannah for a while and my mouth was watering watching you prepare your food for the day. Never knew you could make crispy chips this way! Thank you so much for your food demonstrations. 😊🐾

    The emphasis you put on self love and acceptance in conjunction to getting healthy and losing weight is SOOO important and I don't feel like enough "influencers" talk about how important it is to be healthy in your mind first and foremost. Some of the times in my life when I lost the most weight and was at my thinnest were when I was also the most mentally ill so it wasn't healthy at all! And obviously not sustainable. 🤷‍♀️

    You have no idea the impact you are having on teen girls by showing your marks and loving your body. I work with teens who compare themselves to filtered pics causing low self esteem, depression, and eating disorders. You are amazing and beautiful. Thank you!!

    This video was recommended when I searched for "plant based breakfast." New follower. I have a lot of weight to lose, but more importantly than the weight at this phase of my life, is that I need to restore my health. I'm old enough to be your Mom. After years of eating sugar and processed food, it's taken it's toll on my health. And I'm allergic to all red meat since a tick bite 2 years ago. I've had a lot of inflammation and multiple autoimmune diseases. I want to be more active physically, without health issues and pains, and the weight loss will be the plus. I'm sure your channel will be a great help for me. Love your personality and style as well.

      Kiki is great! I just started transitioning to plant based about a week ago, and have definitely enjoyed binge watching Kiki and all her fabulous recipes and lifestyle tips. Also, if you haven’t yet, watch the film Forks Over Knives. It’s available on Netflix. Sheds some light on the importance of eating plant based, whole foods. We can do this together! (I need to lose about 70 pounds, and have some health conditions I want to reverse soon).

      @@abieshleman8313 ... Abi... You can do it. Just eat till satisfied, and eat again when 'hungry.' The key to it working is calorie density. Your body will find it's right size.

    I experienced the same constipation! I went cold turkey 2 years ago and was so bloated and constipated for a couple of weeks, and then it went away and I have absolutely no problems since then! Lost 120 pounds so far, excited to do this eat your veg challenge! Love your channel Kiki!

      amanda 4u thanks! I lost 100 pounds in the first 9 months it melted off super fast...the last of it is stubborn and has literally taken me the last 15 months to lose 20 but slowly surely getting there :D

    Loved this video. It's great that you point out, when doing Dr. McDougall's plan (50/50 plate), you encourage the use of sauces and condiments. I think that's the part a lot of people get wrong, including me. I really did not enjoy the 50/50 plate. But, once I started mixing up the simple mustard/maple/lemon juice dressing, I was hooked. Now, I find it so stinkin easy. And the only positive I can say about this COVID-19 phase, is that it allowed me to eat, without guilt, the whole foods, plant based way. My husband is not vegan. He still wants all his meats, lunch meats, milk, cheeses, etc. I finally am okay with that. It's not for me to change him. I tried, it didn't work. And I can cook everyday at home, and enjoy doing it. And he's enjoying eating at home again. I think the high salt and fat content kept drawing him to eat out. Now he's kinda stuck with me. Ha Ha. But he's happy not eating out now. I do push more veggies on him than usual, but it is what it is. Luv your stuff.

      Thank you! Kiki is so much more real and consistent! I have never heard Hannah talk about the 50/50 plate or eat that way in her what I eat in a day videos...yet Kiki has been super consistent and always talked about it! I don't trust Hannah.. She's flip flopped too much in what she's recommended or how she's said she lost her weight..

      anniestubin isn’t that realistic though? I mean how many diets have we all tried? How many adjustments have we made over time? There’s a formula for every person and it takes experimenting to find it. Can’t fault her for sharing her journey through that with everyone. What works for you today may not work for you next year. ✌🏻

      @Jessie Loomis I don't wanna take over kikis video and channel talking about Hannah. But Hannah is acting like she lost her weight eating half veggies with every meal when I've never seen her eat that way. Her last videos were mostly fruit. I'm just saying Kiki is way more consistent and has always talked about this lifestyle. There's no problem in trying different diets, just don't act like you've always done this when through video proof it's true you haven't.

    I have been watching you for a month. I enjoy everything you post even the bloopers. I have watched High Carb Hannah but I feel I can relate to you more. I am half Mexican half German and have been overweight for 6 years now. I bought the two books you recommended. I started a whole food plant base diet almost 3 weeks ago. My starting weight was 189. I have some whacked out periods an major anemia problems. Bleeding for 25 days straight then no bleeding. I have been to so many doctors with little help. I want my health back. You are inspiring me that I can get my health back. ❤

      Health is wealth, and food is Nature's medicine. I used to have the same problems with bleeding for 20 days or more. I finally found out it was due to kidney disease. Get your kidneys checked if you can, the sooner you rule it out the better. Much love♥️

    Loved this!! Made me cry when you spoke of self confidence, something I still struggle with on a daily basis. I loved when you said: "I encourage you not to compare your body to mine or anybody else's, you are uniquely you, your body is your body and let that be the best body it can be for you. Don't compare yourself to what my body looks like or what the next person's body looks like. Don't waste time in that space and don't waste time feeling bad about how you look, there is only one of you! Feeling beautiful is a choice."     You'll soon have as many subscribers as Hannah. As for whether people get loose skin after losing a lot of weight, a lot depends on the elasticity of your skin. As you point out, this is partly genetic but is also better the younger you are. So you can lose large amounts of weight when you are younger and not have loose skin, whereas if you waited till you were older, you would have.

    I’ll be honest, when I heard about you, I wasn’t interested in hearing about eating from a young 21-year-old who never struggled with her weight. Okay, I WAS WRONG!     Cracking up so hard over the poop portion of this video! LOL it's normal to poop 3-4 times a day when you are ingesting so much fiber rich food and water loaded veggies! I'm super excited for the challenge!!! Loaded my fridge with all the veggies!

    I love you 🫶🏽! Thank you so much for your inspirational stories and information throughout your videos 🥹 I have PCOS so it’s easy come and hard to lose weight. I have been stuck at 150 ish for most of my adult life I can lose 10lbs and as soon as I have a regular American diet with meat I gain it all back. One week recently, I was stress eating sweets and whatever I wanted to comfort me and gained 10lbs in A WEEK! 😢 Now it doesn’t want to leave. I am ready to love on me and do what’s necessary for my body while gaining super confidence in my own skin. To have a vegan diet is my goal to counteract my PCOS and weight control. So grateful for ppl like you sharing recipes and health journeys. You make my heart full and the food is amazingly delicious-that cheese sauce OMGosh!     i've been wfpb since last october and have only lost 10 lbs. that bothers me and i really think i just haven't figured out the right formula for my body. i'm 72. the good news is that i recently had labs done and my numbers look amazing. cholesterol down to 128. it wasn't too bad before but a couple years ago had it too high and was put on meds. now i'm cut down to 3 times week for 3 months. then if it's still down, i'm off those meds. i'm sure i will be. just agreed to continue so my doc could go thru this with me and learn. she is not wfpb. she also cut my blood pressure med in half. i'm pretty sure the reason i'm not losing is too many starchy veg compared to non-starchy. just want to thank you for your videos. you inspire your followers and I really appreciate that you are just as concerned about the soul as the body. you have a good heart.

    I love how honest and real you are, and how you share the bloops, lol! Like finding a hair in your food, lol! I wonder if you used parchment paper instead of a paper towel for the microwaved potato chips, they would stick less? Not even sure if you can microwave parchment, but just a thought! 😁

    I love 💕 your honesty. I’ve been really struggling with horrendous endometriosis pain for years and did have the constant heavy bleeding like you did. Had a hysterectomy, cervix removal and boom it’s spread into my colon. Basically I watch your videos and now I know I can do this too.     For questions about fiber and bowel movements, check out the plant based/vegan book Fiber Fueled by Dr. Will Bulsiewicz (gastroenterologist). So good! It talks about gut health and how eating the rainbow of veggies helps so much! Also if you want to get a preview, check out some of the podcasts he's been on. I first watched him on the Engine 2/Forks Over Knives youtube channel. The book is so good, packed with info and hard to put down!!!!

    Great video. I’ve been on the Starch Solution for two weeks. I had lost almost 10 pounds, then I shot back up in weight over night 🥴😔🥵...so that sucks. I added gluten to my diet, and started incorporating some organic wheat bagels into my daily eating. Guess I need to go back to rice and potatoes + water vegetables only.

      Agree - I was stuck, couldn't lose weight until i quit eating bread and crackers. Now it's rice, potatoes, beans and non-starchy veg.

      I never limited fruit, I often have my oatmeal with fruit, my veggies, and then some pineapple or watermelon...I also snack on fruit. Dr mcdougal recommends limiting fruit to 2 servings a day IF you are not losing weight

    Found your channel yesterday. Since then I have watched a bunch of your videos and High Carb Hannah’s as well. Feeling inspired. I ordered The Starch Solution yesterday and I am anxiously awaiting it’s arrival. I have 70 to 80 pounds to lose, and at 56 years of age, with Hashimoto’s, cardiomyopathy, COPD and other chronic illnesses, as well as being in menopause, I have struggled more than ever to lose weight. After a back surgery in 2017, I was put on the Wheat Belly Diet by my doctor and lost approximately 50 pounds, I looked great and felt fantastic. A little more than 18m months later I was diagnosed with diverticulitis and told my the Gastro doc that I needed to be on a “low residue” diet. Low Residue is nothing but high processed carbs and I pack on 35 pounds in 3 months. My gut recovered but I felt worse than ever. Since 2019, my weight crept up quickly again after the worst of covid passed and I was the heaviest I ever was. Morbidly obese, in pain and depressed and always exhausted; I haven’t quit. I started juicing at the beginning of the summer and am down 13 pounds in 2 months. I have a long way to go and juicing alone is not the answer. Thank you for your videos. I’ll be thinking of you and your videos as I go food shopping on Saturday and biting my nails (at least they are low cal) until the the book arrives! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

    Can I say that I just LOVE you Kiki! You are so damn real and like me. You bring me joy and I am back on this video for the umteenth time because I'm to the point that I am going to do a week with ONLY food you eat. I am not able to stick with all my food choices (due to birthday week) and feel horrible. I MUST get my health on track!!!

    A huge tip to continue losing fat is too have an 30-60 min walk before breakfast or fast until noon. This is a game changer, both for health and fat loss. You can also skip snacks and have the fruit with your main meals in order to let your body have enough time to lower insulin and then to be able to dig into the fatstorage.
    Another tip is to use prolonged fasts to open up those fatcells (its not just for the insane ketopeople).
    So my take on this is not to change the plats composition But to look att WHEN you eat. Its really important.

I’m recently got a call from my doctor telling me that I need to change my diet because my blood test results showed that I’m pre-diabetic , border line high cholesterol and high blood pressure 😔You are my inspiration & I’ve been watching your videos to learn how to cook healthy for my family & myself.     Kiki you really are an inspiration to us all. I’ve been into nutrition for years and vegan for two migrating to WFPB in the last 12 months. Found your channel about 3 months ago and use so many of your recipes, especially your cheese sauce and brownies! I had spinal surgery over 30 years ago and have hang ups over my body image but you have reminded me that I am me, unique and grateful for the life I’ve lived and for the 2 amazing children I’ve been blessed with.     Kiki- thank you SO MUCH for creating your channel. You have inspired both me and my husband to change up our way of eating. Im in my first week of doing the 50/50 plate and Im already down almost 2 lbs but more importantly yesterday I had ENERGY to go hiking w/ my husband where normally I have ZERO energy and look like Im marching to my doom 🤩 I have Hashimoto’s and hypothyroid so to lose weight so quickly AND have energy is a major win!!

BTW, do you remember where you got that little grey throw blanket I see on your bed? My hubby & I have a white quilt on our bed, but my feet are always cold, and I've been wanting a soft, light grey throw just to add another layer over my feet at night.
