I’m 67 yrs old and 4’11” and lost 40 lbs. I’m 113 now. I basically lost a pound a week. The first month loss was 6 pounds. I walked for exercise. Slowly but surely. I reached my goal the beginning of this year. Don’t get discouraged. I’ve been vegan 7 months and feel great.
I’m enjoying finding creative ways to cook/eat w/o oil and it is SO FUN!!! I already released ten more pounds(total of 40 so far!)just since watching Kiki daily! Thank You,God!😇
This is such great advice! I lost about 36 pounds doing WFPB but hit a plateau for 4 months. I lost and gained the same 4 pounds! I took Kiki and Chef AJ’s advice and cut out oil, nuts, seeds, nut butters, and avocados. I’ve gone on to lose 17 pounds (11 in one month)! People, it works!
SO glad I found you! At 50 (and post menopausal) weight loss is difficult to put it mildly :( My husband and I started a WFPB diet in early April, and he has lost almost 20 pounds and looks GREAT! ..... meanwhile I haven't lost one pound! After following your advice on omitting a few items from my diet I have lost a pound in just two days!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND FOR PUTTING YOURSELF OUT THERE FOR OTHERS :)

Thanks for sharing! I bought The Starch Solution book, and began this new way of eating. It’s been about 5 weeks now and I’ve lost 8 pounds! I’m also walking about 3 days a week for about an hour each time!
That's incredible! It's kind of crazy how much plants can make a different. It kinda makes you think how complicated the diet food industry trys to make everything when it's really so much simpler. Just eat whole food plants 💚🌱

I love chop sticks!!! I love how simple you eat. I am about 75% to eating WFPB. I am shrinking slowly. I love to eat potatoes. For about 24 years I ate low carb and Hi fat and missed carbs and then I would binge eat, therefore I never lost weight; gained all the way to 289lbs!!! Since I love carbs, veggies, and friut, this has been great eating this way!!! thank you
I’ve heard lots of comments help promote a channel which is why I am making the effort to comment. Hopefully what i say isn’t annoying. I am following the basic principals and still learning to adapt our household’s staple recipes/ some cultural recipes for my husband, and adapting to my first child. I feel better eliminating animal products conscience and digestion wise. Thank you for your content. I feel more empowered to do this.

I really enjoyed this today. I have been plant based almost 6 years but I had a brain stroke 1/31/24 at 75. I have been graining weight around my middle-a lot. Kiki thank you for the inspiration. Dr put me on plant based diet march 10. Its April 28 Ive lost 10 plus pounds. I'm 58! reality check. its too much food...never thought I would say that. I need to eat much smaller portions than a younger person like you. My stomach is actually feeling stretched out if I each a full plate at meals... Love the oatmeal Just smaller portions. Shenita Necole The same kinds of things Kiki eats in her videos. Half a plate of starchy vegetables (usually potato bc that’s my favorite) and the other half of the plate is non-starchy vegetables. I’ve also been eating sushi bowls, and I made Dr. McDougall’s Mac and cheese from the starch solution with whole wheat pasta, but I ate it with plenty of veggies. Idk nothing crazy, just what the book says. (10/10 would recommend that mac though bc it’s seriously good!!)

I have been on a plant based whole food diet for 12 weeks. You Inspired me to give it a try. I am having a hard time losing weight due to my age, work schedule and my family not wanting to eat this way. Some days I feel depressed. I will try to stop eating nuts and seeds and see what happens. I just ordered my first pair of Earth Runners I started grounding 3 weeks ago and love it..

So excited for your cookbook! I think it’s important to note that if you have a significant amount of weight to lose you can have more avocado and nuts to start out with and still lose weight. If and when you see a stall in weight loss then you can scale back on it.

I love how you are so real! You wish you cared enough to clean your air fryer, but you don’t, and why should you want to shred your own potatoes👍🏻😆! Also thanks for showing how to make the fritters in the oven as well as in the fryer. I just don’t have enough room in my small kitchen for a bunch of gadgets.
Just wanted to share this. I buy the chopped salad (Sweet Kale is my favorite) throw out the enclosed packet of dressing, nuts and dried fruit, stir fry , season with soy and 1/4 tsp of toasted sesame oil (omit this if you are eating completely oil free but to me it really boosts the flavor....your choice). I eat this for breakfast with rice about 3 times per week.

Now I’m obsessed with you! I could not believe when I saw you were 36 with 2 kids and married 16 years! I thought you were 21. Love your house and I lived in Durango Colorado for a year in 2003. Thanks Kiki. I love your channel! Congratulations on the cookbook. How cool is that? Your tip on the 50/50 plate was a game changer. I started on June 1 and have kept it going. I have lost 9 stubborn lbs and I am back to my high school weight. I am waiting see if I stabilize but I will probably reintroduce flax seeds again. I haven't been super strict- had birthday cake twice for my kids celebrations, 1 per month restaurant meals, occasional wine, etc but still it worked! I have completely stopped binge eating, no cravings. I don't really think about food anymore unless I get hungry. Honestly it's like a miracle 😁
So I started this way of eating last week at 147 lbs ...today 142.9 and eating a ton! Following the KiKi meals. Feel healthier and after all the keto and intermittent fasting who knew it was this easy. One suggestion I forget to prick my potatoes before roasting as she suggested ...stuck one while it was hot in the oven to see if it was done...it exploded lucky it was a small one LOL so listen carefully to Kikis suggestions she was so right
Cant wait to buy your cook book. Today is my first day of stating the starch Diet.. My journey will be full of learning and learning what my body needs. I hope to loose about 40 pounds by December. I'm currently at 200 pounds so god give me the will, and i stick to this wonderful diet i should look amazing by December for the holidays with my family. Oooh - try black forbidden rice (I buy the Lotus brand)...it's my fav! Maybe mix it in with your other rices? It's amazing in a bowl with mango, greens, onions, some edamame or baked tofu, red grapes, maybe even a little sweet potato and avocado, cucumbers, etc.

I love how you are so real! You wish you cared enough to clean your air fryer, but you don’t, and why should you want to shred your own potatoes👍🏻😆! Also thanks for showing how to make the fritters in the oven as well as in the fryer. I just don’t have enough room in my small kitchen for a bunch of gadgets.
Just wanted to share this. I buy the chopped salad (Sweet Kale is my favorite) throw out the enclosed packet of dressing, nuts and dried fruit, stir fry , season with soy and 1/4 tsp of toasted sesame oil (omit this if you are eating completely oil free but to me it really boosts the flavor....your choice). I eat this for breakfast with rice about 3 times per week.
Your videos and meals just get better and better!!! I can hardly wait to make every single thing. And so looking forward to your book!!

Hi! 🙋♀️ I just found your channel and I’ve been binge watching your videos. I went plant based 2 years ago and I love watching a couple other youtubers, and have read all De. Mcdougall books. Now I’m obsessed with you! I could not believe when I saw you were 36 with 2 kids and married 16 years! I thought you were 21. Love your house and I lived in Durango Colorado for a year in 2003. Loved it and hope to move back to Colorado next year. Would love to see some video of the snow this winter!

Thanks Kiki. I love your channel! Congratulations on the cookbook. How cool is that? Your tip on the 50/50 plate was a game changer. I started on June 1 and have kept it going. I have lost 9 stubborn lbs and I am back to my high school weight. I am waiting see if I stabilize but I will probably reintroduce flax seeds again. I haven't been super strict- had birthday cake twice for my kids celebrations, 1 per month restaurant meals, occasional wine, etc but still it worked! I have completely stopped binge eating, no cravings. I don't really think about food anymore unless I get hungry. Honestly it's like a miracle 😁

So I started this way of eating last week at 147 lbs ...today 142.9 and eating a ton! Following the KiKi meals. Feel healthier and after all the keto and intermittent fasting who knew it was this easy. One suggestion I forget to prick my potatoes before roasting as she suggested ...stuck one while it was hot in the oven to see if it was done...it exploded lucky it was a small one LOL so listen carefully to Kikis suggestions she was so right

Cant wait to buy your cook book. Today is my first day of stating the starch Diet.. My journey will be full of learning and learning what my body needs. I hope to loose about 40 pounds by December. I'm currently at 200 pounds so god give me the will, and i stick to this wonderful diet i should look amazing by December for the holidays with my family. Thank you for introducing me to this diet and your amazing food recipes.

So glad you showed up..I am anxiously waiting for the book. After 2 months I crashed big time when my daughter was visiting but am back on the wagon. Even with al that I lost 11 pounds. :)
For lunch I made both the roasted cauliflower bites and the potatoes & zucchini patties. Made a few changes to herbs with what I had in my pantry but both a big hit with my husband & I. Thanks❤️👏🏼👏🏼
You can chop and quick pickle the stems of chard for a tasty topping on bowls/tacos etc.

Oooh - try black forbidden rice (I buy the Lotus brand)...it's my fav! Maybe mix it in with your other rices? It's amazing in a bowl with mango, greens, onions, some edamame or baked tofu, red grapes, maybe even a little sweet potato and avocado, cucumbers, etc.
