Awesome video ! Did u guys do anything certain to be able to pull a larger trailer with the Tacoma ? My family and I have a 2020 TRD off-road Tacoma and I’m trying to see which trailer would be ideal to pull on long road trips that the Tacoma wont struggle too bad to pull.

"Your Tacoma is SO far over weight. I had the same Taco and the Cargo Carrying limit is 980 lbs. The Flying Cloud hitch weight alone is 875! So that leaves you only 105lbs for EVERYTHING in and on the truck. My guess is you are at least 500lb overweight. Watch out of highway patrol, if they spot you, and pull you over, they will part that rig for being over weight and unsafe."

Hey Spencer I know now that you are busy and have never talked to me, But I own a 2021 Tacoma four-wheel-drive that is lifted and I’m looking to buy a trailer and I wanted to ask if it any kind of way you would be willing to give me a call so I can speak to you on the phone. My wife and I are thinking about buying a airstream and I wanted to find out more information on the towing capacity that you’re seeing showing that big airstream. We lost our son, who was 20, A few months ago and we want to get out of our house. If you don’t mind I would really appreciate if I can arrange a phone call with you

what's it like pulling the trailer? I know the tow weight ain't much
they are 7300lbs... the tacoma is rated for max 6500lbs. This is how you destroy a drive train.

The hitch weight is nowhere near 875 lol.. it’s closer to about 100 since I have sway bars as well
@@SpencerVybes The sway bars and the weight distribution hitch only transfers weight to the Taco while towing. I bet if you put a hitch weight scale on the ball of the trailer you would be shocked at the weight of the tongue. With my Taco, I used a Blue Ox WDH and still had 550 lbs pound of weight on the tongue with a much lighter trailer than your Airstream. Airstream web site shows the tongue weight for the Flying Cloud 23FB to be 500lbs, the lightest and the heavy 30RB Twin at 899lbs. With the mods to your Taco and the added weight in the bed, you are outside of the weight rating for a 2020 Tacoma TRD Pro. If you have an accident, your insurance is not going to cover you due to your weight. Per Toyota the max tow capacity for the TRD Pro is 6400lbs, your Airstream weighs 6517lbs without any gear in it. Good luck but the numbers do not add up for your rig. Check out Keep Your Daydream TH-cam channel. Marc has a great video and Excel spreadsheet to help calculation weight for RV's and trucks. I'm not trying to be a jerk, just want you to be safe out there.
