- In this advert, the modern is fused with the traditional to illustrate how a traditional Rover saloon can appeal to younger people. Then they spoilt it with a voiceover ripped straight from a DFS ad. But hey, I'm not complaining - I like settees.
Unfortunately, young people with tattoos and skateboards scared Rover buyers. Lesson learnt. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Love the 400 saloon, very nice car. Ive got a 400 special edition hatchback but it needs new shock absorbers - it was used to carry rubble and bricks etc. and was overloaded lots of times.
Great ad! The 400 looks relly good, even today.
I think the 400 is a charming car. Interestingly Rover announced the `proper` launch would be after the hatch. It was unfortunate that the Honda team had finalised a lot of the design by the time the Rover team arrived unlike the 600 were they worked together well.
I like this car a lot, very understated.
Great car!!
Fantastic Ad! I remember it well... 1997ish wasn't it?
nice saloon 400 there. Do you know what the name of that song is?
Rover is over.
what the, is galaxychoc on about, rover are rubbish today because they don't exist. duh. we had an N reg 416i 5door. o.k so at 78K miles the timeing belt went (again) and we sold it about 3years ago for £50 to a guy. a year later it's on the road and still going. we stll see it around town, and stll looking young for it's age. (mabey because it's in white - nicest colour. and looks like a 45).
now we have a passed down T reg 600. 2.0. in orange (it's more like copper)and it's nearly got 80K
If galaxychoc was really bothered by how 'shit' Rovers are, why did he/she watch the advert? Also, it shows that his/her iq must be incredibly low to use so many swear words in one piece of expressive descriptional writing. What a silly comment.
