I lived with my family and worked in Saudi Arabia for 4 years. Saudia was always a good airline with plenty of legroom, even in economy. I worked in Riyadh but went to Jeddah many times. Lovely to see the Country again. I have driven along the Corniche, so maybe I have driven along part of the track - I'll claim so anyway!!

I think Saudi Arabia has much more to offer than the media perspective it has internationally... apart form major issues often highlighted which evey country faces just different versions, rather than that it's just a different culture that's all...

Welcome to Saudi Kym, it’s true that you can’t enter Makkah unless you’re a Muslim. However, you certainly can visit Medina, where our beloved prophet Mohammed peace be upon him is buried. So I advise you to go there, it’s 1443 years old city, so many people of different cultures live there. And the food is awesome too. Hopefully you enjoy the trip, and be safe .
I understand that you don't drink coffee - neither did I for the first 30 years of my life and then I discovered arabic coffee (what they offered to you) with cardamom and other spices, consisting out of unroasted beans. It doesn't taste like coffee at all, and got me hooked. Then again, karak and zafrani chai (tea with condensed milk and saffron tea with condensed milk are perfect). :)
Coffee was fine, but tea was far too sweet. However it was rude to refuse, so I drunk quite a lot of both in my 4 years working there. I still miss the warmth/heat.
@@arthurmackrell8154 Karak and Zafrani are made with condensed milk, so they can be way too sweet - as if they have non sweetened version next time (it won't cost standard $0.27 though 😉).
I think they used the picture of the haas on billboard because all other teams have alcohol branding on them and that dont work in saudi arabia. love the vids

I went to Jeddah and Abha when I was in my teens for close to 3 months over summer vacation, then onto Turkey for 3 weeks. I was amazed how new and clean everything in Jeddah was. I can only imagine how much prettier it is now. I still have my Visa stamp too from expired passport. Enjoy.
Hello from Texas, I remember as a kid flying between my parents, my favorite part was always the meal on board, it was delicious! But somewhere around 15 years ago the meals turned to peanuts and pretzels, very disappointing! although i think southwest still gives you a hot chocolate chip cookie.
I have a couple of questions, Just curious when travelling do you have a checked bag for all your equipment and hand luggage/Carry on. Or can you squeeze it all in or just a carry on. Secondly and this is a bit more personal so I do apologise if there is any offence to this. You travel all over the world, do you ever get lonely by yourself? Do you have a relationship/family back home if so how do they feel about you travelling all the time. Just curious no need to answer if you don’t want to. Love what you do would love to do it myself but worried about spending time away from my family. Hence the question Be safe

Abha and the mountains along the Saudi/Yemen border are so green, it really surprised us having driven from Riyadh.
