i dont think bsj respected how much better 2k mmr players are compared to 2-3 years ago when he did the original educational smurf videos. back then he could almost miss every spell and still win with biggest impact mostly just pushing waves on autopilot, while now he got punished multiple times for not concentrating on his and enemy teams movements
its funny actually making those videos back then contributed actually to him getting killed now

I like it since you didnt completely crush the laning phase and it is a somewhat realistic scenario. Maybe consider having somebody else play the first 10 minutes aswell or play them not like 7k player would so the rest of the game is a bit more challenging and realistic for the viewers
I also imagined he would've been on a beyond godlike streak 10 mins in but it turns out that his knowledge was the one that's on complete display here.

damn i really learn so much from this video, i have played since 2013 and stop playing around 2018 and start play again this year. when i played as a carry, i really thought i have to carried our team at all war, be front of them whatever carry hero i played and do all things even that not carries do but see this video, we dont have to sacrifice for war that not winnable and do something that may ruin enemy gameplay. i really love how he explain through the video, tell everything and not toxic or blaming teammates.

The thing about climbing MMR in low ranks is about your rep during the match. If you are a midlaner that goes and help his sidelanes then most likely your supports will have this attitude to be more proactive since you will set the tempo for them. Same as the position 1, if you have decent farm and do not feed early your team will likely follow you as the strongest one on the team. Heck it doesn't matter if I am a great farmed pos 1 if my KDA is like 2-8-0 or something. These low mmr players just need a little more push to be proactive in their games. If you are a midlaner that plays passsively, you bet your ass your team will play passive too
Amen. As someone with a lot of League (and even a bit of HotS) under my belt that's only just now getting into DotA (same microskills, VERY different macroskills), one of the biggest issues I run into is, as someone who's mostly focusing on pos4 and pos5, I don't know what to do when lanes are stagnating. If the pos2 and 1 are setting a good pace I feel like I can make decisions, rotate as needed, and be proactive about vision, jungle maintenance, etc.
If the Big 3 just have their thumbs up their asses, it becomes difficult to even see the minute-by-minute unfolding as anything other than a confusing mess. Where should I be? What should I do? And that usually just defaults to passively supporting lane without much of an eye towards Making Plays. And as a long-time MOBA player still having those questions and trip-ups, that should really highlight how ESSENTIAL it is for the carries to not just get big gold numbers, but to actually Make Shit Happen.
I get your point and I agree with most of what you said, but in this game specifically I think BSJ(Lina) is not really allowed to play active ly like you said and try to get his teammates involved. As BSJ said himself in the video, Lina is not the playmaker of his team but an squeeshy range hero that need to stand back at his teammates, and also their line-up just simply lacks of initials and catches to start fight. Of course you can try to communicate with your teammate in-game, which I do not think is a really great idea as this often lead to disagreements and conflicts since it is just so hard to teach or convince others during a game if they happen to have their own idea.
@@bhikshu738 if you dont know, what to do, its usually because of a lack of vision. the enemy will show up sometimes, so try to look out for isolated enemys and ask your team to smoke gank them. that lets you place wards safely aswell.
pos 2 and 1 can also only set a "good pace", if they have the vision and have had a good enough early game. so if you want a decent mid game, make sure your carry and mid get the farm they need because as a support you play the strongest hero in the laning stage and maybe even complete early game.
@@bhikshu738stack camps, ward your own jungle and keep control (priority through early mid game). Leech your carry or pos 3 experience and babysit if nothing else is going on but ready to rotate.

99% of the times, it doesn't matter what u say in game, especially in low mmr.
this is the example of game that shows how badly balanced the game became... They literally stomp you for ~25 min with no way to finish the game because of low respawn time vs building damage potential... A dude rats all game and farms all game, the carry makes a mistake, dies and voila, game is lost 10 min later in a single push... This is fucked up
skill issue. At high ranks games are shorter because comebacks are less common, because the winning team knows how to choke out their opponent.
If you win the early game, but still lose the game, it means you got outplayed even harder lategame than you outplayed the other team early.

24:06 it’s true that spec desolate doesn’t miss, but ONLY the desolate damage gets applied, not your normal attack damage or any other attack modifiers. It’s pretty underwhelming late game against a farmed PA.
Personally I like bloodthorn since the active gives you true strike, but it’s still not as reliable as mkb, especially when it comes to spell immunity.

That's not a good example to prove that smurfs always win. He literally picks the most imba hero in this patch, which is Lina. This hero breaks the current patch gameplay.

yep saw a smurf lina one game... split push for 50 minutes and 7 slots before ending the game. It's so hard cuz we were up 2 barracks and ended up losing cuz we just got 2 bad team fights and got wiped and they throne us.

How to counter this kind of aware split-pushing? Even though you absolutely demolish in early game and dominate mid-game, there is always this slippery hero who can pop anywhere on the map and undermine everything your team does, and t2 t3 towers are just too strong to push even as 5 during those stages. I sometimes feel like glyph should be less available to give the better team bigger windows of opportunity to get something out of it.

Immortal rank players don't realize how much 2k mmr players improved.
Its not just BSJ, in my local gaming cafe, many Immortals just get smacked by 2k - 3k mmr players as well. Its not like 4 or 5 years ago.

The fact that he wasnt actually the captain of the team. so you know its really a 2k game/strategy. hes just there taking good fights and avoiding bad ones. i hope i adapt this kind of thinking

BSJ you and Shani gotta work out a nice audio setup, the voice goes robot-ish and almost auto tune feels randomly and can be easily heard around 9:20. Might not be noticeable to most people I could be thinking too much about it. Good content as always just you've have an iffy mic/audio setup for this video and another, can't remember the other video at the moment though.

Thanks for confirming my playstyle. I am always trying to make the other team react to me. I always get flamed by my own team . It seems my team will always take bad fights and then yell at me for not rolling as 5 when they got the jump on us. I enjoy making them react to my deep pushing when they have advantage and wasting there opportunities

Dude, I will really enjoy watching any decent players like yours playing with my account! Every single game, I get potatoes as teammates, and 5 smurfs in the other team, every single game. Even If I do my best we still lose, I have tons of games with 20/3/20 KDA, and we lost because they all start cooperating and my team is just shiite!

This is really top tier content, and show you how a good player can win even really hard game.
It's still really hard to process, but basically it's through keeping farm up and split pushing and punishing mistakes.
It comes back to what he said a while ago :
1) fast wave clear + mobility (Spell + bots)
2) survivavability (bkb + SB)
3) kill threat (hex + laguna)
I wouldn't say this is feasible on all hero / all game.
mistakes make it really authentic man. Keep it Humble Keep It BSJ! 2k's are really good at this game now, I'm 2k ;)
he did so bad against this SF mid, I woulda killed him twice already with Lina. He keeps his fiery soul stacked up but he only put 1 level in it.
WTF FOR THEN? I could have just got a blight stone and passive that SF to death. because if I don't move he can't get that many nukes off on me.
With Lina's atk speed, he has to run and with blight stone, he will always lose, and if I'm feeling worried I have leguna blade.
at 6 minutes he leguna's him even with a teammate and does get the kill. I can't watch people play lina and fail the first leguna when nukes hit the hardest.
The only guy you should take for wave nuke over your passive attacks is Razor because he will drain you so you're better off nuking him down than brawling.
Other than him you're always better keeping your stacks up for a low mana cost level 1 spells, land your stun and uzi your oppenent down, and with the added move speed, even if he runs you'll get maybe 3-4 more hits in.

BSJ. One thing to point out is that some mistakes always happen on all brackets. Like your bad deaths.
On low mmr people have the illusion that high mmr players don't make stupid mistakes.
I think this illusion is a good one to maintain for a low mmr scrub as long as they arent beating themselves up too much. A herald telling themself that all their mistakes are okay because immortals make mistakes too isnt likely to improve very fast.
BSJ you need to pay more attention to backpack your stuff when using bottle charges :P

THANK YOU for making this video. This game is so bad right now. Yesterday I counted 8 of 10 players being either smurf or script cheaters. I don't understand why Valve just lets the game die in front of our eyes. And such an insanely ez fix: let Dota be free ONLY on Steam accounts with $100 worth of content.
