Maria it is ok to be struggling with what's going on in Russia and Ukraine. That's your home. It's ok to be so sad and angry and frustrated. And I am sure, knowing how Americans are, people maybe don't always give you kindness. We love you. We know you aren't over there making any of these things happen and we know it must be so difficult to feel everything. A lot of us have the same struggle here in America watching how things are playing out here.

So true. Regular people trying to live our lives are never the cause of wars in any country. Sadly it's our rulers making those decisions. I definitely relate to you in regards to feelings about aging. I'm experiencing the same things you described- the sadness, the movements in the mirror, and the feelings of insecurity. Something that has been helping me in regards to getting older is to remind myself that old age is a privilege and heath as we get older is more important over looks. We're always going to have insecurities about something but I'm sure somethings we are currently insecure about, we probably won't be insecure about at an older age.

Something that helps me sometimes... When I was in my 20s, I would look back at pictures from my teen years and think "Wow, I was so skinny back then, I thought I was so fat! I wish I was that skinny and young looking now!" And then I'd feel down about my appearance for a long time and start doing all these lifestyle things to make myself look like I did when I was a teenager, but I never felt like I came close to achieving it and continued to think I was so fat and old looking.
Now, in my 30s, I look back on photos of myself in my 20s and I think "oh my GOD....I looked amazing, why did I waste so much time and energy being unhappy with my body and trying to "fix" myself??"
I'm finally realizing that I'm going to do the same exact thing when I'm in my 40s. So I'm trying really hard not to waste any more of my precious time left on focusing on making myself look younger/skinnier. I'm just going to focus on adding nutritious foods to my life, adding joyful experiences, accepting the bad experiences and learning to grow with them. I hope that you can find some peace with your beautiful self, I know it's such a difficult journey (especially as a woman). You are beautiful, inside and out, and contribute so much to the world, so thank you!

My baby is starting his senior year in high school next week (and my eldest is starting university in September), and I too, feel like life is flashing before my eyes! Maria I completely feel you on the insecurity about aging. I was never very beautiful, so I thought I would embrace wrinkles when they came. I wasn't expecting to notice my skin loosening on my hands and arms, and after I had my son all of the changes to my body were scary. I'm starting to come to terms with it, and therapy helps a lot. Every day is a new day! Healthy habits are a great place to start. I'm working on those too.

Dear Maria, after everything you’ve given to me I’m so glad to have the opportunity to encourage you. As a middle-aged woman I have been so blown away by how much I learn from you who is a generation younger than me. I came for the tingly comfort and stayed for the fun creative stuff. I tried nail stamping, built my crystal collection, immersed myself in the study of astrology, tried origami. Heck, I would’ve bought a dozen pairs of diabetic shoes if I needed them!! 😂😂😂😂 You have brought so much to my life and I’m sure you will be a pioneer in changing notions of beauty. Always worried that Maria was going down the esoteric path and from the wrong "light". My prayers are that Mary has a personal encounter with Jesus Christ and she finds that Light, Peace, Wisdom and true Love. She is a person who seeks to feed the soul of the good of her. She help many people with the light of Christ.
In esoteric meditation there are traps, darkness, a humanism without the presence of Christ. We can meditate on the words of God, fill ourselves with his peace and keep our minds calm and our spirits calm and powerful at the same time.
"Not all that glitters is gold," the saying goes. Not everything that looks like spiritual light is. LOVE 💓

Maria it always touches my heart so much whenever you make a video like this where you open your heart to us and make yourself vulnerable by giving us the gift of a glimpse into your true feelings, positive and negative. You have such a presence online but you are infinitely more than what we get to see. Thank you for trying to stay strong and positive for us, but please know you don’t have to be dishonest or withhold when you’re feeling down. Maria reminds me so much of my own mom. These kind of casual videos bring me so much peace and comfort and joy because I find all the words so familiar and I deeply understand all the feelings she expresses. I'm going to college across the country in less than a week and it'll be the first time I'm away from my parents for that long, but I'm not worried because whenever I miss them I can just watch one of Maria's videos and feel safe and loved again.

Omg I saw Jeannie’s video and was saying “Maria has to see this” and you did!! I just subbed to her yesterday b/c the algorithm brought her to me and I thought she looked like Princess Diana, the thumbnail stopped me in my tracks. Maria, what a lovely video. You were vulnerable & honest, & you teach us that's ok. I've watched you for many, many years & I'm grateful for the comfort & gentle presence you offer. I remember my first asmr experiences were in about 1960. It was certain women-maybe newscasters. I would get tingles sitting in front of that old black & white tv. I never told anyone because I thought I was weird.😢 But decades later, I found you. You made it ok for me & I'll always treasure you.
