When people talk about loving your older videos more, what I first thought about was ASMR immunity. It's possible that people have watched your content so much they have immunity and just associate your older videos with tingles because those are the ones they watched first and had the strongest reaction.
You've got a point.
Lauren Knight never thought of that. i seem to get a consistant amount of tingles regardless.
I think there a few reasons why the older videos are liked more. Part of it is comfort. You know what is going to be about, when the sound cuts out, the parts that give you the best tingles. She is right, the lower quality does make a difference. Honestly, I think she could fix it by simply turning on her ceiling fan or letting her AC run during shoots. But what I think is most different between the old and new videos is her confidence. In her older videos, you can tell she is scared and a bit timid. It affects the softness of her voice. But really though, even though I love the difference it makes in her older videos, I would never wish her to be back in the place. It's so obvious she is in a significantly better place, and I am happy for her. If I want that softer voice, I can deal with watching the older videos.

The strongest forms of triggers for me is when you are providing a service in your videos, but you go way over the top in giving us the best experience. For example of love the spa treatments and suit fittings because those situations are what we really want from those experiences but never quite get in real life.
You're so special. There are many ASMR channels out there, but you are unique. You give some kind of motherly vibes, I feel caring, loving and comforting when I listen to you.

That question at 4:40 really bothers me. You don't deserve criticism like that. You can see how hard you work and the effort you put in to your videos, so the fact that someone would say something like that is actually quite hurtful and disrespectful. At least say what you think is missing, rather than Making 'blanket' statements like that.

You are absolutely AMAZING, Maria. I first found about ASMR through your channel and I stick to it. Your content is original, you seem to have a lovely personality and your voice is absolutely angelical. I love e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g about your channel - the old videos and the new ones as much.

Bravo on educating yourself on the economy. That automatically makes you one of the most educated and informed Americans. There is a lot to learn. The crash is guaranteed and probably very soon; much worse than 2008. Don't take on anymore debt. If you're moving, move to a small town. If you have cash or equities, transfer them into physical gold, silver, or hard assets that people will want when times are tough. Doing this will allow you to buy your dream house for pennies on the dollar after the crash hits. Keep your pantry full and then some. Don't stop learning. You're awesome.
V for Veracity yes, I agree. I see it coming very soon too. I tried to get rid of most of my debt this year, except for the car, but I'm working on that still. And trying not to be tied down to a certain place for now. I have been deciding between investing in bonds or physical gold as well but still don't know what's better, I am afraid the dollar could depreciate very rapidly and leave me with savings worth nothing :( .
DEFINITELY stay out of bonds. Check out goldmoney.com. You buy gold (not an etf, you actually own it), they store it for you in a vault and give you a debit card to transact with. So you can literally pay your bills with gold. Not so easy to do when you store it at home. TH-cam "Hidden Secrets of Money." Dear Maria, I rarely leave comments but today I have something to share with you... I had a very difficult day and I had to work a lot, my anxiety was over the roof and I decided to listen to your video.... your voice calm me down and I managed to go through my day. I listened to it at least three times ( and even thought I know it by heart already) in a raw. Your voice was my sanctuary, your gentle presence was my company, you don't even know how much you comfort me. I see why I connect to you so strongly through the camera! 😄😘 Now to go watch another of your videos, and fall asleep within minutes😴.
(FYI, my favorite parts of your videos are the interaction with the person watching, you often make me feel like its a thin veil between us and not a camera thousands of miles away 😄. Your movements seem well calculated. i.e. if you touch a body part, you know where the sound and visuals need to be located so it feels accurate, relative to the lens and mic. Even the anticipation of getting touched gives me tingles sometimes. Like hearing you prepare for something in the background, manipulating tools that will be used on me. Kind of like the physical exams, body/face/hair messages. And when you move around the room when you're outside the camera view. It gives me the illusion that I can feel your presence.
Also, hearing you share your wisdom during a session is extremely relaxing to me. Makes me feel like you really care, and that you really want people learn how to deal with their issues and relax. I'm thinking you already know all this from experience, but thought I'd let you know anyways just in case 😄😘)

I'm glad you are honest about how you feel in these videos. I understand it gets pretty boring to edit videos; editing is very tedious, and thats coming from someone who uploads videos averaging 2 minutes in length, lol. I'm glad to see you're staying true to us about everything, about the tedious parts, and about the good parts. Thank you for all of the time, effort, and tedious work you have put into moving this community forward. People should not be ashamed that they produce ASMR content because it is real, and its invaluable to people who need to relax, alleviate a stressful day, and help people through sadness. I felt ASMR back when I couldn't explain what it was on my own, when I would hear certain sounds it put me in a meditative state and I would feel waves going up and down my neck. I didn't know if it was normal to feel it, so I just assumed other people felt it too, but of course, I now know that it is just a minority of people that really do. Thank you so much.
Reading fiction is very important. It teaches us compassion and empathy for others. I know you are a very compassionate and empathetic person, but it also teaches us how to walk in another's shoes and see through their eyes...their point of view. :)

16:35 to 16:55. You are NOT boring when you like a walk in the woods or like nature. The joy of knowing someone who likes to be around in nature as well is priceless and I had 3 great months with a girl I was very close with. The relationship unfortunately didn't last, but I would never ever want someone who likes to go out on a friday night, just to indulge himself in a pile of noise, music and booze.

Referring to the second question - I think people mostly experience this tingly feeling when they hear/see cerain things. For me strongest asmr stimulus is not a sound but a specific behaviour - when somebody unintentionally is making sounds and seems to be really sorry for that. I realised that when once the girl sitting next to me in a reading room was trying to unwrap her sandwitch, the paper was rustling and she was like 'I'm sorry, please don't shush me, I will be quiete on my own in a second'. It was asmrish for me, not exactely the paper sounds but whole situation. When asmr artists starts to make videos they seems to be sometimes lost and quite confused, being really careful, not knowing exactelly whis sounds their viewers will found nice and which will be irritating them. Later on they gain experience, become more self/sound-aware and this playing with sounds, exploring them together with the viewers is never as geniune (I mean fresh) as it was at the beginning. I guess you were right saying that some people prefer lower-quality (almost unaware/unintentionall asmr) videos. I hope that I'm not rude or something (if I am please forgive me, it wasn't my intention to offend anybody, I'm trying to explain my vague thoughts with my broken english).

Dear Maria, I realized over the course of watching this video why it is I enjoyed the video so much-- aside from the obvious reasons. The whispering in such a conversational manner, and intimate as one-on-one reminds me of the most fun times I had in my childhood-- slumber parties! When I was a little girl it was such great fun for me to be invited to sleepover parties. I had only a younger brother who was six years my junior. I felt alone quite often with no sisters or other kids my age in my home or neighborhood. Having this type of intimate, whispering conversation is really beautiful to me. Thank you so much for sharing yourself and your gifts with the world. The world is a better, happier, more comforting place with you in it.
