Wherever you come from, you have to be inspired by Hidilyn Diaz' gold medal win. She was second to last in 2008, DNF in 2012, silver medal in 2016. Then 2020 -- she had to beg for financial support to support her training, had to train with improvised weights when the pandemic hit, but sheer grit made her into a true champion. According to her, she was never able to lift 127kg in the clean and jerk event in practice. But she dared herself to try it where it mattered most -- the Olympics. This time, GOLD!🥇🇵🇭

She lifted us in the Olympics. Mean while we carried her too because of our undying support. The fact that she is the third Filipino who took home a gold medal for our nation in the Olympics because our first gold is in Seoul 1998 in Bowling and Beijing 2008 in Wu Shu but unfortunately they are not counted in medal tallies. But Hidilyn did a great job and made our nation proud. She is our pride and forever her legacy will remain alive in every mind of every single Pilipino as she became part and gave an important role to our history. She's truly an inpiring!
