Augusto I missed you San Diego class last time. I went to Dec 17th and there is no observation option to register for the class. I am a Professional trainer here in SD and was glad to see the Dec date pop up. But I can't register. Can you check into it or will there be no observers? Is there going to be 2 sessions or just the one? Thanks
I wanted to say something in response to the dog training hotdog guy criticizing dog daddy's training method saying it "makes the dog "shut down": 1. If a dog is shut down it won't listen to prompts from the trainer or owner and 2. If a dog is shut down it won't even be engaged enough to show proper behavior. So in other words dog Daddy's dogs are not shutting down they are becoming engaged. And he didn't have to use a hot dog to get that sort of engagement
I recently took on a neighbors German Shepherd because my neighbor became ill and couldn't care for him anymore so he asked if I could. I've watched a few videos from Dog Daddy and this german shepherd was always very territorial and aggressive towards strangers. Now he was okay with me because he had already met me a couple times, but he did not see me in command or fully respected me. There was one day where I walked him, and he got super excited and worked up to go chase a car. I stood my ground and didn't allow him to go chase it, he tried to get out of the leash and tried to pull away and swing away. And when he knew I was the one in control of the leash, he became aggressive and lunged at me. I knew he was doing this to get me to let go of the leash so he can go chase the car, but I knew if I let go, this would not end well, so I held my ground. This became a very dangerous situation quickly and all I could think of was, I need to take control and show him whos dominant. He jumped and tried to snap at me and go for my neck but I would swing him around avoiding bites and controlling his head movements with the leash. I didn't act aggressive towards him but remained calm and very attentive to his aggression. After I saw a window to submit him by grabbing his collar and standing over him.. he then calmed down and submitted. I waited for his anxiety and energy levels to calm down before I started to loosen up the grip. I wanted to let him know that I'm not here to fight and I'm not here to back down either. From this day on, he has become one of the best dogs I ever owned. We are best friends and he sees me as his true pack leader and looks for any command I have taught him these past few weeks. Dog daddy, you truly have saved me from giving him away to a shelter or giving him away to someone else. Through these videos, I study closely about the interaction, body language, and psychology. THANK YOU SO MUCH! You made me a better dog OWNER and a LEADER
❤, I love this, you're amazing for giving all your effort to save that pup. The reward of love and loyalty given back is worth everything you put in. I took understand this but it's because I spoiled my dogs to excess and have been using DD videos to help better control my pups. ❤
See how quickly that dog calmed down in response to a strong confident handler? I love seeing stuff like this. There is no comparison. Dogs raised by people who coddle their dogs can be so neurotic. Especially shepherds!! This was 😍 beautiful. The inclination not to leave her side shows that when he showed signs of fear she very likely comforted him and inadvertently reinforced those fear based responses.
100%; dogs have been bred to follow humans for the last 10,000 years; for some people to think dogs should be given "agency" and not given clear and firm direction is ridiculous. I fosterer a lot of dogs and puppies and they love the obedience training sessions.

Augusto, this is the type of content that I love to see. Real time work with owners that immediately relaxes the dog and moves them through their fear. You really explain the psychology of your methods and seeing them in action is just a testament to your amazing gift and its effectiveness. Thank you for your dedication to rescuing owners and their dogs from a lifetime of fear and discomfort.

Our rescue choc lab had really bad fear aggression for about a year after she came to us at 7 months old. She was always trying to hide behind us when another dog came close. She would start 'warning' other dogs when they were far away. She would raise her hackles, her tail would go all bushy and she would bark like crazy. We worked with her every day until she finally got past it. She is 12 this year and so full of fun and character. She still comes across other dogs she's not sure of but we just reinforce the training we we did all those years ago. We discouraged her from hiding behind us by using a 'reset' command and movement. We found it gave her something else to think about and do rather than panic upon seeing another dog. Never give up on your dog. Training is the key.
Wow. He loves and feels so safe with mommy. Pup will experience a wonderful peace when his confidence with other people and pets kick-in through continued training. Best wishes! He's lovely. ❤

Augusto you are incredible! As soon as you start to speak this dog already pays attention to you. He knows you are the alpha. I really appreciate the way you are explaining everything to the owner and us at the same time! Thank you!
Not so much that he's an alpha, it's just the person the doggy understands. It's like finally someone is able to communicate with the poor little guy. He was lost and looking for guidance and direction but no one was helping. This goes for a lot of kids in our community too. Glad to see some in-depth content. Many shorts of him came by my TH-cam homepage which made me a bit sceptical and suspicious, but this video is nothing less than a confirmation of how knowledgeable and dedicated he really is. Keep up the good work :).
I've recently stumbled across this channel and also read a lot of experts bashing this guy. They say he is "cruel" , that he "just tires dogs out until they just surrender", etc. Look at this video - the dog started following his direction just a few seconds after he took over. It didn't tire out, it didn't fight. He is more than what critics accuse him of. Maybe he is flashy, and dresses a certain way, and markets himself. It's fine. I see no cruelty to animals, which would be the only real red flag.
That Shepherd calmed down within minutes. Just like a horse...the second a person picks up the reins, the horse knows if the rider is a professional, an intermediate, or a beginner rider. Dogs are the same way. That being said...most people think they're dogs need the training when actually...it's the owner/handler that needs the training. "Excellent Video!" Thank you!
Well it's always the rider's fault, too. All horses were made for is eating grass with their friends! The rest is our problem. But I agree, dogs seem to really sense how attuned to them DD is.
I have a friend in Akron Ohio with a 3-4yr old female cane corso who seriously NEEDS your help! He's had her since she was born and he doesnt have her under control at all. It's dangerous and it's not fair to the dog at all because its not her fault that she just doesnt know any better. She's confused because he's not consistent with anything and she runs the house and destroys everything and now he has one of her puppies too.
All the people hating the Dog Daddy are passing me off. He is a fantastic trainer and helps thousands of dogs and dog parents. I think he needs to sue them, especially Zack, for defamation.
If you live too far to come train with me in person. I have a LIVE webinar coming up on the 19th of November available worldwide. You can reserve your seat at: dogdaddyy.com
I remember reading a saying that said....'if you treat your dog like a human it will treat you as a dog'. I think it deciphers into, if you try to coddle your dog too much it will have no respect for you and will run the roost, and you. Alpha is very important in a dogs world and if you can be firm when you need to be, it'll show the dog that it has nothing to be afraid of if it follows the rules.
Excellent. Took the E collar off that a DIFFERENT dog trainer suggested. He explained why the dog is acting a certain way. Augusto knows through his own experiences with dogs that certain behaviors don't need extreme measures like E-Collars. Zak George you should be ashamed of yourself for attacking Augusto. I was here when Augusto started out. I was here before YOU started out. I've seen both of you. If the owners of these dogs thought there was abuse they would have done something and said something.
You are amazing to watch. Would the dog feel scared because ge can't grip his feet and knows that makes him vulnerable he's slippery and less skilled, like us on ice. I wonder if she put down some floor runners he would feel more confident on his feet and less anxious meaning less aggression? Idk,I have 2 dopey SAMOYEDS lol
Thank you 🙏 for sharing this. Quite educational picking up on the body language. Amazing, simply amazing. And a huge "Thank you" to the owners that allowed others to allow you to share this training. An even bigger shout out to the owners "Thank you 🙏 for finding & trusting DD to come into your home to help rescue your pup from it's anxiety issue. Please 🙏 continue to work with your baby daily. Every single day will bring you & your pup closer together with greater, love, respect & true admiration." 🙏🙌🐕🦺❤️🚶

But I agree, dogs seem to really sense how attuned to them DD is.
great video, that dog was so cute!
Truly enjoy your content. Wonderful to see these animals and their handlers learn to trust each other.
The fear-filled dog is a reflection of the owner
Not always
All the people hating the Dog Daddy are passing me off. He is a fantastic trainer and helps thousands of dogs and dog parents. I think he needs to sue them, especially Zack, for defamation.
Dieser Mann macht eine Gute Arbeit 😍
Oh my. I shared a couple of your videos on The Belgium Malinois fb group. I got torn to pieces by a few people.
No worries, I defended your honor. ❤
If you live too far to come train with me in person. I have a LIVE webinar coming up on the 19th of November available worldwide.

Gun Dog Tv, Francja.
Thank you for helping this dog 🐕, and the longer video, I love watching your gift change the life of the dogs! 🥰🥰🥰
Absolutely AMAZING!
This guy is the epitome of being himself. He'd be great with all animals!
Beautiful working line German Shepherd
He must love the Lord. He has given him a gift he does perfectly!
No, they wouldnt.
@@Christine-ju4nj yes they would have!
Beautifully put👏👏👏
oh the violence and domination!!! ;) i love you DogDaddy cheers
Another great work!🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽😘
Such a good doggie. 😂
This was a really helpful video, I'm going to start working with my dog on this right away! Thank you for sharing this!
The dogs can tell after awhile that dog daddy is there to help them be a better dog.
you are a God send for dogs
South Americans certainly seem to understand dogs ❤
Thank you 🙏 for sharing this. Quite educational picking up on the body language. Amazing, simply amazing. And a huge "Thank you" to the owners that allowed others to allow you to share this training. An even bigger shout out to the owners "Thank you 🙏 for finding & trusting DD to come into your home to help rescue your pup from it's anxiety issue. Please 🙏 continue to work with your baby daily. Every single day will bring you & your pup closer together with greater, love, respect & true admiration." 🙏🙌🐕🦺❤️🚶
He sure is watching that guy.
