    Busch Stadium is not a "Show-off" stadium. It's simple, right to the point of hosting baseball. Nicely built. The atmosphere is perfect for the sport.

    I'm from southern California originally and a Dodgers fan. However, I lived in the St. Louis area for a year and managed to see a Cardinals game while I was there. Real nice park right in downtown. You walk into the main concourse at street level. I was in the left field bleachers. Games over and you walk right out onto the street with Ballpark Village right there if you want to hang out. The fans are a big part of it. I'm used to going to Dodger games with 45,000 people. Same situation at Busch. Big crowd, people were into the game. Wasn't like in L.A. where half the place is empty by the 8th inning because people are leaving early to avoid traffic. The game I went to went 12 innings and 90% of everyone was there to the end. Really cool vibe in there. Its a nice open park. The outfield scoreboard is pretty enormous and easy to see. Had a real good time there and would recommend a game there to any baseball fan.

      @Blackgold1155 ปีที่แล้ว

      As a Cardinal fan, I will say this is all mostly true except for the leaving early part. There are always a ton of families that bring the kids with them to get them out of the house and they always bounce by the 7th inning no matter what. Especially this year. I ALWAYS stay to the end of the game and I’m noticing way more people leaving early this year. Can I blame them? Not really.

    It doesn't surprise me at all that the Cardinals' organization would have a great ballpark because they are class all the way. Interesting story, I was once on vacation in Florida and some of the Busch family were staying in the same hotel where I was staying and I believe it was maybe Ms. Busch and one of her daughters who were hanging-out by the pool where I was staying.👍

      @@kingarthurj I've been to Busch man times and went to a cardinals @ royals game once, stadium is amazing, unlike Busch its this incredibly unique stadium with tons of things that no other ballpark does. but Busch stadium just has the location and skyline, everything about the area is good. and the ballpark village keeps getting better and better, once I stayed in the Hilton 360 hotel and even though it was very packed, the view of downtown St louis with the arch and Busch stadium was amazing, so much to do right in that little area where Busch is and I cant say the same for Kauffman.

    I think the fans are underrated. People talk about Red Sox fans, Yankees fans, Cubs fans, but the Cardinals fans have a lot of baseball knowledge. I remember when Ken Griffey Jr hit his 500th homerun and the family that caught the ball gave it back to Griffey. The fans knew how great Griffey was and how much it meant for him to hit his 500th career Homerun (with the injuries he had, his career would have ended earlier).

    One of the other reasons you didn't cover on Busch is the staff that works there. In my experience going to Cardinals games there, the staff is always helpful, very professional and the experience is enjoyable because of it. Even though St. Louis is one of the most dangerous cities in the US, stadium security make fans feel safe when attending games and events as well. Us Cardinal fans, while passionate about our Birds, don't ever get too rowdy at games either, which is a plus.

  • @SuperCarFan-we2ug

    Ballpark village is so underrated. You’ve got the massive Bally sports live area with restaurants and the massive screen to watch, you got the rooftop seats, you got the hall of fame which you can even watch a game from with a cheap ticket and get food in the restaurant, and the other thing people don’t realize is it’s not a wide street so even from the other side you still feel like your in the stadium and have a great view. There’s tons of shade, it’s also a very cheap park to go to. You can spend 200 dollars to get a room that you share with only about 15 other people that’s air conditioned, unlimited food and drink, desert top of course, and you get your own caterer that will come to you and refill drinks and things. Or you could go to the bigger trophy room where you also get unlimited food and drink and you get to experience the history and see the trophies. The rooms are very nice and it may be expensive for some people but it’s 100% worth it. You can get first row outfield seats for 30 dollars. Even just the ballpark food is good. Top 3 ballpark maybe even the best In baseball. It’s better than even the newer stadiums like Atlanta and Texas (yes I’ve been to all three) people just see pictures and don’t realize just how good it is.

    Been there once. Found an amazing wide open upper deck area with no tickets sold for some reason. We bought the seats and in about the 4th inning the sun was hitting the seats so badly that it felt like 135 degrees. It was so insanely hot and blinding we abandoned our seats and moved up to a standing / bar area that was above our seats where we stood for the rest of the game. Well I've been there a few times and I was less than impressed. Parking is expensive. The neighborhood is dangerous as is most of the city. A woman spectator was shot by a stray bullet while INSIDE the stadium watching a game. If you sit in the bleachers in the far outfield during a day game make sure you have sunglasses because you are facing into the western sun. I think they should have built the stadium in the southern or western areas outside the city because until they clean up the crime I won't go to a game there. And i say this after living , going to college and law school, and getting married in St. Louis, Spent lot of time shopping there and going to the Muny, Zoo, Fox theatre and movies houses that used to be downtown. But downtown is a barren place compared to what it once was and the crime rate in St. Louis is a national disgrace.
