Feather and the Wind This amazing for 300$ it’s very modern flat beautiful view very clean and the greenery is every where!!!!! And I don’t think The neighbourhood is shitty I had seen worse worse neighbourhood in my country
The He likes to exaggerate about it it’s shitty place I don’t think so I have never been to Mexico but from what I have seen from your video it looks like a decent neighbourhood so stop being picky
Feather and the Wind if you feel unsecured in that neighbor hood is just simple pack your stuff and leave to your country that will make things easier for you ✌👍
Thank you very much for your video is very insightful and yes it's important to let somebody know what kind of neighborhoods they are in as a tourist you don't want to be caught in the wrong place they exist in all countries
$300!!! wow!!! You're very close to so many cool places! Museo Nacional de San Carlos, Museo Universitario del Chopo, Kiosko Morisco de Santa María la Ribera (with a great Russian restaurant around there), Casa Rivas Mercado, Frontón México and Colonia Juarez.
We really liked the Plaza de la Revolucion when we were there in March. We arrived in time for a beautiful sunset view from the mirador. As the light faded, lots of young people gathered to take photos in front of (and in) the coloured light fountain. The whole plaza had a really nice vibe. It did not feel unsafe or sketchy. It is only a block to Reforma - which we used to walk back to our apt in Juarez. It is also a short walk to Alameda with good restaurants (and a nice view coffee patio in the Sears across from the Palacio Bellas Artes). You got a great deal (except the loft bed is a non-starter for me). I am looking forward to more of your excellent videos from one of my favorite cities. Enjoy!
The rotoplas water tanks are for water storage and pressure if the water ever goes out. At some time I remember in the city of Monterrey there was a water shortage and city authorities had to implement water rationing during the daylight hours. People started installing the water tanks to remedy the problem during the day.
Hey guys! Thanks so much for this video! I’ve been looking at this property for a long visit and was curious about it. Thanks so much for sharing! Inflation has hit and it’s increased quite a bit now. Loved your review and it helps with my choice.
Wow! Gorgeous place guys. We never book places without reviews either, so glad it worked out. Hahaha. Mexico City is probably the city I would choose to live in if I actually moved back to North America, so I'm loving this video. Looking forward to seeing more!
That neighborhood is not bad. We stayed in Escandon last January, and I'd never heard of it. It was fine. I'm beginning to think that most neighborhoods in CDMX are safe. I am so in love with that big city, I wish I could move there permanently. Great video, guys.
Awesome place & only $300/mo amazing! Did u guys ever feel unsafe? Any issues? They need a guard rail for bed upstairs Is there a maximum amount of time u can stay as a US citizen at one time? Thanks
You guys!!! I was like wowwwww all the time! Such a cool studio! It’s crazy how expensive rent is in CDMX it’s almost as expensive as here in LA! Have fun you guys!
My husband and I just spent 2 weeks in a studio apartment in la Condesa and it was so cosy :p we also work together and travel together so basically together 24/7 :D I love your channel by the way
Thanks, Dalal :) I actually saw you on Zoë's channel (Professional Wild Child) but didn't know you were in Mexico City! Hope you enjoyed your stay and maybe we'll cross paths another time x
Hello an FYI those water tanks on the roof are used as a reservoir for the water since in Mexico the water can be scarce at times and the sun does help in warming the water a bit. Great video!
This is my first time watching you guys, and i really like your vibe! the studio is tiny and for me, shouldn't be more than 200, but the building is beautiful, and the terrace is a privilege in this city, so you get something really nice and cheap, i am happy for you. That monunent is el monumento a la revolución, so you are in a central area, and Just be careful of this 3 neighborhoods near you at night: Guerrero, Tepito and Peralvillo. Day is usually safe, but i recommend at night, beware of being shooting in those 3 neighbords. Enjoy your stay and God bless you both! Greats from Mexico
Great video. I was born there. And love it. I've been in Phoenix for 35 years now but will be in MX city in September for rammstein concert and visiting family too
Hahaha I liked that part when she picks up the item from the floor, if you ever worked in retail is something you just do, I always find myself doing the same thing, picking up and folding clothes, I know this has nothing to do with the video but I could relate to that and it was funny, I love MX city I go every year, going in two weeks!
Awesome videos! Thanks for all your hard work! We love watching your travels through Mexico, your very informative and have such awesome personalities ! We have traveled a lot through the Mayan Riviera but are looking at Mexico city for next year. Probably end up "stealing" all your ideas and tracing your steps.LOL I know you guys have been there before but hoping you will go back to Teotihuacan this trip.? We plan on binge-watching all your older videos this weekend,140 ish of them oh my!
I’m from Mexico City and you guys got a deal on the loft, looks super awesome and close to all the cultural places you want to explore anyway. Besides most of the neighborhoods in the city are like that, it is a third world country. The rich neighborhoods are private and mainly in the suburbs. But overall is safe in touristy places. Hope you guys enjoyed your stayed there. Uber to different attractions is the best and safe way to get around. Just found your channel and glad you’re exploring Mexico there’s so much to see and of course the small towns are safer but the City is awesome too. Don’t forget to check out Chapultepec all the museums and the Zoo is free!. Enjoy The travels. Blessings 💕
There is not running water in Mexico City during the day, only thru de night until maybe 5am. That is why they use the thanks, to provide water for your bathroom, shower, etc. I lived there, and you have to be careful with you usage if you don’t have a large tank
4:08 [Download: 46.07 Mbps] [Wes:] "46 Megabytes per second" - It's 46 Megabits per second. 1 byte = 8 bits. Megabit is abbreviated as "Mb", Megabyte as "MB". Network throughput is normally measured in Megabits per second, data storage is measured in Megabytes. BTW, 46 Mbps is still spectacular. I get 15 Mbps, and I am right in the middle of Silicon Valley.
From the looks of it, they were most likely in Colonia Buenavista! The rents there are way cheaper only because you have to put up with a slightly elevated bit of sketchiness. Just don't walk home drunk and alone at night. Lived there with two other dude roommates for a year and had a blast. We saved pretty much 50% on rent compared to what you have to pay in "trendier" colonias. Also, SUPER well connected to the rest of the city through Metro/Metrobus. Some really cool things around there are Biblioteca Vasconcelos, Museo del Chopo, Monumento a La Revolución and Forum Buenavista (shopping/urban train station). There's also a punk rock flea market on Saturdays next to the Biblioteca. 9/10 would try again.
not a bad spot at all but not the most popular, la condesa, la roma, centro historico and chapultepec are the most expensive also polanco. You should definitely check out chapultepec park it has so much
That loft is a truly good find. And Fel your swimming underwater with sunglasses is cool. It is sure to become the next big thing! And there could be a marketing opportunity for designer sunglasses with the Fel and Wes tag. Maybe other readers can suggest a catchy name for this activity or a name for such glasses. But no good for the surf beach down the road from me. Lionel. The Kangaroo from Australia.
HaHa Fel thanks for the reply, I really get your joke of wearing sunglasses to assist in, apparently, opening your eyes underwater, but let's not tell anybody that sunglasses don't help vision underwater. That is what swimming goggles are for. Go for the cool marketing angle. Lionel. Kangaroo from Australia.
Alicia? That's sweet you pick things up! It's good to do simple random acts. Hey, can you mention the sight you found your place on? I want to rent their too.
Hi guys, I have been following your channel for a couple years at least and i felt excited and sad at the same moment when i noticed that you are 5 minutes from where i used to work (we moved like 2 months ago to another part of the city). If you have any chance, go to Comedor Lucerna and try some tacos made of fish (carnitas de atún). In case you need any other advice i would be glad to share. If you would like to go out to eat or drink a beer, my girlfriend and me would be so honored to invite you. Greetings!
It's been a while since I've visited your channel but I'm glad to have seen you guys again now. I propably should keep this to myself but, what the hell: as a guy strugling with depression, I find you both amazingly positive and sort of like an antidepressant for me. Your optimism, you constantly smiling and your very special relationship makes me forget about my problems for a while and helps me to drift away and smile a bit with you. Fel, your voice and character is sooo soothing and calm, it's amazing. You're like a dream life companion and I hope to one day meet a girl as charming and positive as yourself. Wes, keep the funny going and to both of you - keep up the good work and stay happily in love as you obviously are. Love you guys and can't wait for you to visit Poland again :)

how weird i came across this video because i booked this same spot for end of june and when i google mapped it it looked confusing but this video helped me figure out exactly where its at! thanks!!!
On Google Maps it's a bit confusing! But after the first time, we would use Gordo King's on Buenavista for the right address (it's a great local food spot at the corner right by the apartment). Hope that helps!
Hey Damian, here's a link to our post including the Airbnb with more to say after one month there: www.featherandthewind.com/blog/mexico-city-apartment-rental
Are you guy's still living in Mexico City ? I'm planning on moving there in early 2021. A friend and I are relocating from NYC we are coming in January to see all the different areas. Hoping to find something centrally located and connect with people who have done it.
We're based out of Montreal at the moment :( You might find it helpful to join the Facebook group "Foreigners in Mexico City." Enjoy the move! CDMX is one of our favourite cities

Thank you very much for your video is very insightful and yes it's important to let somebody know what kind of neighborhoods they are in as a tourist you don't want to be caught in the wrong place they exist in all countries
That is a nice place for $300 a month! Yes it is small but it is exceptionally well laid out! Love it! :)
$300!!! wow!!! You're very close to so many cool places! Museo Nacional de San Carlos, Museo Universitario del Chopo, Kiosko Morisco de Santa María la Ribera (with a great Russian restaurant around there), Casa Rivas Mercado, Frontón México and Colonia Juarez.

It is pretty much everywhere or almost in mexico. sometime during night they shut the city water off and that thank is to have some in the bank
Hey guys! Thanks so much for this video! I’ve been looking at this property for a long visit and was curious about it. Thanks so much for sharing! Inflation has hit and it’s increased quite a bit now. Loved your review and it helps with my choice.
I wouldn't mind to be near the chicas de la noche , they won't harm anybody
USAMEXICO1982 it’s not them it’s the people around them
hahahahaha i think at least the 80% are not exactly chicas but chic@s xD
Wow! Gorgeous place guys. We never book places without reviews either, so glad it worked out. Hahaha.
Mexico City is probably the city I would choose to live in if I actually moved back to North America, so I'm loving this video. Looking forward to seeing more!
Luck must have been on our side this time. Mexico City is definitely a place that would take ages to uncover! More on the way ;)
That neighborhood is not bad. We stayed in Escandon last January, and I'd never heard of it. It was fine. I'm beginning to think that most neighborhoods in CDMX are safe. I am so in love with that big city, I wish I could move there permanently. Great video, guys.
Awesome place & only $300/mo amazing!

Is there a maximum amount of time u can stay as a US citizen at one time? Thanks
I love that loft that is so cute and affordable for 2 people or even someone alone and that area looks awesome to me. Great vlog guys.
Thanks, Nicole!
Nicole Tomaski where is it.?
You guys!!! I was like wowwwww all the time! Such a cool studio! It’s crazy how expensive rent is in CDMX it’s almost as expensive as here in LA! Have fun you guys!
Right?! We were really surprised with some of the prices but we've been really liking this neighbourhood so far.
I recommend you visit a huge park that has just been inaugurated called parque la Mexicana in Santa Fe
Great find! Just goes to show that with persistent you can get what you want! Thanks for sharing!
So cute! I enjoyed your editing. Can’t wait for more!
That looks like an amazing find! Amazing the difference in price to the other places you were looking at!

I hope that in December, I will be in Mexico❤ Greetings from PL 👊.
My husband and I just spent 2 weeks in a studio apartment in la Condesa and it was so cosy :p we also work together and travel together so basically together 24/7 :D I love your channel by the way

Feather and the Wind wow! We are in the Yucatan peninsula right now. Are you guys still in Mexico?
No we just left :( Back in Europe for now but have a great time in the Yucatan!
Only 300? That's really good. It's a nice looking place in close proximity
We can't complain with this find!
Hello an FYI those water tanks on the roof are used as a reservoir for the water since in Mexico the water can be scarce at times and the sun does help in warming the water a bit. Great video!
wow that place looks nice. awsome, thanks for sharing
I had a blast in D.F. years ago up until 2004 and eat like a king. I miss that place.
They no longer refer to it as D.F. They're really pushing the CDMX thing. Not sure why.
This is my first time watching you guys, and i really like your vibe!

9:38 The answer is absolutely yes I could spend 24 hrs a day with someone this adorable.
The rotoplas container is just to keep water if something happens! No to increase the water pressure also is no to get a hot water.
I’m from Mexico City and you guys got a deal on the loft, looks super awesome and close to all the cultural places you want to explore anyway. Do they offer long term lease?

Is it normally that cheap?
What films have yall done
not a bad spot at all but not the most popular, la condesa, la roma, centro historico and chapultepec are the most expensive also polanco. You should definitely check out chapultepec park it has so much
Definitely! We went to Chapultepec a couple of years ago and it's huge!
The editing and camera quality is insane.
Well done Fel - you found a stunning little loft apartment for a bargain price - love the editing guys 🙂
Thanks!
Nice video and place!!
But I'm new ... who's the feather and who's the wind?
Subscibed!!!
Welcome to the family! Fel is the feather and Wes is the wind: www.featherandthewind.com/blog/2017/06/03/fel-and-wes

Very Nice Guys ! I am moving Mexico in couple of Weeks. May I know the name of that apartment name ?

Very very cute loft!
I'm soo happy I found you guys and I love your editing soo much💜💜💜
Thanks, Asmaa! Glad you found us too :)
where is the studio located, because i think the minimal area for an apartment in Mexico City is 60 m2
where exactly that loft is located?
What a find!
I pay $1325 for a small place like this, I wish I had all those other amenities like you guys do and I wish I paid $300 a month. Great score.
Hi guys do you by any chance have the brand of the induction cooktop? Please I want one like that
Whaaaaat!? That was an amazing find! Loved the video and definitely have that same tiny house love haha.
Alicia? That's sweet you pick things up! It's good to do simple random acts. Hey, can you mention the sight you found your place on? I want to rent their too.
You did great !
This was really nice.
Greetings!
ALL buildings around the world have water tanks on top its so water pressure is even everywhere in the building. Gravity
Funny. You guys got a fan here, best wishes from japan :)

Hope that helps!
thank you so much!
Your videos are so nice !
