can we remove the impeler shaft with the crankcase assembled like in the video above? someone told me that we cannot, to remove the impeler shaft we have to disassemble the crankcase. is that true?

be prepared to fiddle with the metal water pipes again.i painted them a while back but because of the heat i'm guessing the paint exfoliated and they all started to leak past the seals.all new seals mind you and surfaces cleaned.
    cheers

Good call, the paint is the same engine enamel as the engine, but still we'll see - matt

yes you can, BUT bear in mind to remove first only the cover, NOT the housing. after the cover removed and if you want to remove the rest you have to loose the fan with span in a CLOCKWISE movement.

Your videos will help me a lot. Thank you very much. I've just a question.
I changed the gaskets and the oil seal, but I left the old mechanical seal that maybe it was broken. Now when I fill the radiator with coolant, it comes out from the drain conduit on the left of the water pump. Is this ( the mechanical seal broken ) the only possible cause of the coolant's leak? PS. I put silicone on the gasket... why you don't?

Hello mate, your going to have to be more clear, you say it comes out of the 'drain conduit' If you mean the water pump drain bolt then bolt it up and it won't.
Secondly, I didn't use silicone becasue it doesn't need it - matt

The manual says that if it leaks there, maybe the mechanical seal is broken, and the mechanical seal is the only thing I didn't change and I left that old.
I have to open the pump again and change the mechanical seal, and then I remove the silicone that I put and let only the gaskets without silicone as you did.
      So no silicone, right?

Yes no silicone. Your seal maybe knackered, you'll have to check like you said. Take some pictures if you can when you pull it apart, I'd love to see what it looks like - matt

Nice simple video. Where did you purchase the gaskets from? Currently rebuilding mine and also need the impeller shaft and the impeller itself
