Talk about your experience as an IS, though know I there isn't much you can elaborate on or discuss, at least the stuff you are able to. I like this video, they are great even though I already signed as an Is its nice to see different rates.

This was an awesome interview! I'm an EO, but I've gotten a taste of having pay issues and fixing pay issues for others. I can relate to what he said about that rewarding feeling of getting people paid and getting issues resolved. Someone told me I should've been a PS as a compliment, which led me to this video. My recruiter knew that EO was my most desired rate, and he did the same thing in asking me to look at all of the rates just in case EO wasn't available. I love my rate, but like you all said, the navy will have you doing jobs that has nothing to do with your rate anyway, so might as well diversify your skills & keep learning. It gives you greater perspective and respect for what everybody else contributes to completing a mission. There's only so much that they can do, but a PS is a good person to have in your network. Thanks again for this interview! 💯👍🏾

So far very informative and comprehensive video that I have found on TH-cam. I ship out this July as a PS and I'm very excited that I stumbled upon this video. On the video PS2 said something about using educational benefit that are offered by the navy and i have some questions regarding on that. Few weeks ago I was reading about the TA benefit online and one of the requirements to start utilizing the benefit is that a sailor have to be in the navy for two years along with other requirements, and i asked my recruiter if that's true and he said it's only a year that one have to wait to be eligible to use that benefit and it has caused a confusion since I'm hearing two different responses. therefore my question is:
    1. how long do you have to be in the navy in order to start using TA benefit to pay for collage?
2.Are there any other benefits out there besides GI Bill and TA that help sailors pay for collage?
    3. what is a piece of advice that you can give someone brand new that's joining the navy? like thing things you wish you knew before you joined/ early and stuff like that.
    Thanks in Advance.

Ok, another informative and enlightening video.
I HATE to throw shade but....
Again (as almost always) THE SMALLEST branch of United States military was omitted from your most excellent show today.
    The United States Coast Guard!
At about 7:33 into the show you spoke of 4 out of the 5 military branches. Why? Why?
As a former Coastie and now a Marine, (the two smallest branches) I find it almost offensive the Coast Guard is STILL the “Stepchild” of our military, and is routinely left out of the convo.
Sorry, I’ll get off of my soapbox now!
    What say you Sailor?
Still love what you’re doing! 🙌🏼
    Blessings always.

I completely understand. Definitely don’t wanna make anyone feel left out! I guess I just don’t see or work with the Coast Guard at all, but they are absolutely a huge piece of US military and I have so much respect for them! Thank you as always for watching & I will be more cognizant of this to myself and my peers 💪🏽🙏🏽
