I've never eaten at Carthay but now I MUST! Any dessert with banana is a win for me! And that steak looked fantastic! I didn't realize they have little private rooms inside. Also, what a beautifully decorated place! I'll have to put that on my to-do when I'm back at DCA. Thanks Max!
We’ve eaten there several times. Our fave is reservations on the upper patio during the fireworks. They pipe in the music. Also, when times are normal, take the free tour at 10;30 am. So much history behind the photos . The two big private rooms are amazing.

If you haven't been to Carthay, then you have no idea how elegant this restaurant is. It's our favorite at the resort. You feel like you're in Manhattan.
First time at Carthay was amazing, 4-person fam situated back in a tiny room, so fancy, and a true joy I’ll never forget. Ambiance was astounding. Second time went just with my daughter, 9/19,, seated out of the way by the door to the balcony. Much too cold, and the area was dark and blah. Pretty awful spot I’d say, didn’t know they had bad tables, but honestly it made the experienc not great. I much prefer the lounge, two different versions in the past,in the main room one at a shared tall table, but both fun. In June we sat outside, felt rushed. Food always great but for the price I’d say your seating area really makes a difference .
Ok so I'm mid-stream planning my 2023 WDW vacation, but this is making a DL diversion looking better and better. What. A. Menu. Raspberries! Who knew! I've said it before, but this content is so appreciated. Thank you
Max almost in tears talking about the magic of the place and Walt started me crying! Also I've had that Jordan Chardonnay and it is so good! Odd tie-in, my work helped design the Alpha Omega winery wine rack display.
We tried for weeks to get a reservation at Carthay! We did get it! We will be there next week. We also tried for weeks to get Storytellers Caf'e. We got it!
I’m going to Disneyland at Christmas and I always like to have one nicer meal whenever I go to the parks. I think Carthay has won out for this coming trip! I know the menu will be different but that food is absolutely INSANE.
You should really do more NorCal/SF vlogs to compliment your SoCal content. Even throw in some Napa wine tours. If you have friends up there, definitely connect w/ them.
