I've been overweight all my life, and I'm certainly not idol-looking, but that has never kept me from having a ton of friends, an incredible job and dating wonderful (and sometimes gorgeous) men. EVERYONE has their insecurities, but when you stop focusing on me, me, me instead of the people around you, those insecurities will slowly diminish.

I’m also fat and insecure. I am working on my weight loss. I’ve lost a lot so far and I’m still working to lose more. Due to my self esteem issues I tend to push a lot of people away. Sometimes I really wish I did have someone though.
Been heavy all my life. Hasn't stopped me once from having a huge amount of friends, incredible job and plenty of men to choose from. The problem is your attitude, not your weight.

We should take TIME to learn about ourselves, before we get to know others. As we get older, you realize that you are still trying to find yourself and what you want/need. I still have to discover myself, and I think that's key when finding confidence, because once you develop and learn about yourself, you can make choices easier and you have more self-love and respect for yourself.
I haven't even watched it fully yet but I know that, if someone lacks in self-confidence.. no one will be able to show them how to love themselves but *themselves.* Meaning, people can't give you *self* love. I can understand how she feels honestly. I suffer from super low self esteem too. I cannot stand looking in the mirror for long and I hate taking pictures. I both admire and envy people who are confident and comfortable in their own skin. It is so inspiring and yet so hard to do myself. I too see everyone else as attractive besides myself. I picking out things that make people attractive (their smile, their personality, little quirks) and I hate when people start judging people based on looks. I know how it feels to not be confident in yourself, I dont think anybody should be made to feel as bad about themselves by other people as I make myself feel myself. if you’ve never experience low self esteem, i hope you never have to, it’s a helpless, lonely and anxious feeling. I gained weight about 12 kg (I was 50 kg before) after married and worried about it but my husband says I'm okay and I'm pretty. Now I try to love every part of my face, body. That wife should listen to her husband because he loves her and really make effort to save the marriage. Some men just don't know how to express their feeling. But, man, I tell you, it is important to say that your wife is pretty. Sincere, because of love.

The way some people here can't even try seeing things from the wife's perspective... It's not as easy as you think. With low self-esteem like that, especially. Obsessive? She's paranoid, insecure. Everyone feels insecurity at some point, but it's worse for her with the way she views herself. She just naturally thinks her husband would choose someone prettier (which she thinks is everyone else, unfortunately). The camera think is going overboard, I admit. That was something she did really wrong. I don't condone that, but when someone really feels stressed they can get to the point of doing things like that. Exercise? Healthy lifestyle? First of all, perhaps she's been doing all of this. If not, it's understandable too. When your confidence is that low, sometimes you won't even think of doing those because "I won't look any better if I do that anyways". It's exhausting. I also have low self-esteem because I have acne and my face is full with acne scars. I think its inherited because my brothers and sisters also suffered from severe acne problem too. Only my oldest sister, my first younger sister and my youngest brother doesnt have it. People around me always compare me with my younger sister because she has flawless and fair skin(I have darker skin tone). They said I didnt take a really good care of my skin. But, what they don't know is I've spent most of my money on skincare and supplement to get a better skin and always trying new products to see if they suit my skin but it cant be help. My younger sister doesnt use any skincare and there's not a single acne appear on her skin. Even my aunt said to my younger brother(he just hit puberty) to follow my younger sister secret to flawless skin. My brother just smiled and it breaks my heart. It cant be help tho. I guess most of the people who suffered from severe acne problem probably have tons of skincare products compared to those who doesnt. Also, there was one time where I have a misunderstanding with my dad and he got angry. And at that time, he told me that I wasnt his daughter because my skin is darker than my other siblings'. He said that his child have bright skin tone and since i have dark skin, i am not his daughter. It really really breaks my hearts when my own father said that to me and i cant help but to hate him for the rest of my life. I cried everytime i think about it. I think its still acceptable if other people said that to me, but when my own father said that.... Since I was small, people always ask who I was because I dont resemble my parents' face and i have darker skin tone. So, after my father said that, I think I really dont belong to that family. Maybe I was a foster child or maybe i was switched at the hospital after i was born. So, since I was small I used to think that when i get older I want to search for my real parent. They really make me think that I dont belong to their family.

Other countries still require merit if you want to succeed, beauty will take you far only if you want to be in the entertainment industry. Other than that, youre judged based on your competence and the drive to succeed, but looking presentable is still a must. Yes, it does happen in South Korea. And yes, maybe it's worst there, but we are constantly judge on our looks everywhere. Between two competent persons, with one being "prettier", guess who's gonna get hired. As for SK i don't really know if they're taking this to the next level, it really depends where you work...

There are so many different people everywhere, you can't really say 65lillion of people are "like this" or "like that" just based on shows.

We should take TIME to learn about ourselves, before we get to know others. As we get older, you realize that you are still trying to find yourself and what you want/need. I still have to discover myself, and I think that's key when finding confidence, because once you develop and learn about yourself, you can make choices easier and you have more self-love and respect for yourself.

I can understand how she feels honestly. I suffer from super low self esteem too. I cannot stand looking in the mirror for long and I hate taking pictures. I both admire and envy people who are confident and comfortable in their own skin. It is so inspiring and yet so hard to do myself. I too see everyone else as attractive besides myself. I picking out things that make people attractive (their smile, their personality, little quirks) and I hate when people start judging people based on looks. I know how it feels to not be confident in yourself, I dont think anybody should be made to feel as bad about themselves by other people as I make myself feel myself. if you’ve never experience low self esteem, i hope you never have to, it’s a helpless, lonely and anxious feeling. I wish people would understand that instead of forcing me to join in on photos and saying I’m weird for not liking to be in photos.

I gained weight about 12 kg (I was 50 kg before) after married and worried about it but my husband says I'm okay and I'm pretty. Now I try to love every part of my face, body. That wife should listen to her husband because he loves her and really make effort to save the marriage. Some men just don't know how to express their feeling. But, man, I tell you, it is important to say that your wife is pretty. Sincere, because of love.

Nobody is necessarily beautiful or ugly it's our interpretation of what we feel beauty is. I personally think she is beautiful, they both need to work on how they communicate with each other and how she views herself. She needs to build up a healthy image through therapy as well as determination. You should always be satisfied with yourself because praise from others won't satisfy your own self image.
I wish they always had a therapist on stage or recommended therapy to people like her. It's not your husband's job to fix your self esteem...she needs to deal with it herself and Then come together for couples counseling

It's not as easy as you think. With low self-esteem like that, especially. Obsessive? She's paranoid, insecure. Everyone feels insecurity at some point, but it's worse for her with the way she views herself. She just naturally thinks her husband would choose someone prettier (which she thinks is everyone else, unfortunately). The camera think is going overboard, I admit. That was something she did really wrong. I don't condone that, but when someone really feels stressed they can get to the point of doing things like that.
Exercise? Healthy lifestyle? First of all, perhaps she's been doing all of this. If not, it's understandable too. When your confidence is that low, sometimes you won't even think of doing those because "I won't look any better if I do that anyways". It's exhausting. Already being mentally exhausted with these negative thoughts, it's harder to push yourself to do anything else.
I just hope she'll see a therapist or something. I hope things get better for them.

I also have low self-esteem because I have acne and my face is full with acne scars. I think its inherited because my brothers and sisters also suffered from severe acne problem too. Only my oldest sister, my first younger sister and my youngest brother doesnt have it. People around me always compare me with my younger sister because she has flawless and fair skin(I have darker skin tone). They said I didnt take a really good care of my skin. But, what they don't know is I've spent most of my money on skincare and supplement to get a better skin and always trying new products to see if they suit my skin but it cant be help. My younger sister doesnt use any skincare and there's not a single acne appear on her skin. Even my aunt said to my younger brother(he just hit puberty) to follow my younger sister secret to flawless skin. My brother just smiled and it breaks my heart. It cant be help tho. I guess most of the people who suffered from severe acne problem probably have tons of skincare products compared to those who doesnt. Also, there was one time where I have a misunderstanding with my dad and he got angry. And at that time, he told me that I wasnt his daughter because my skin is darker than my other siblings'. He said that his child have bright skin tone and since i have dark skin, i am not his daughter. It really really breaks my hearts when my own father said that to me and i cant help but to hate him for the rest of my life. I cried everytime i think about it. I think its still acceptable if other people said that to me, but when my own father said that.... Since I was small, people always ask who I was because I dont resemble my parents' face and i have darker skin tone. So, after my father said that, I think I really dont belong to that family. Maybe I was a foster child or maybe i was switched at the hospital after i was born. So, since I was small I used to think that when i get older I want to search for my real parent. They really make me think that I dont belong to their family.
