Everyone: The MTA sucks, the buses are so slow I'd never take a bus. MTA: Does something that will make buses move faster. Everyone: MTA just wants more money. Can't win huh
Brother.... After getting off at Junction BLVD on 7 Line, I get on Q72. But the problem is, all the Q72 buses moves very slow because of the traffic jam. It (kinda) annoys me that this traffic jam needs to be sorted out
A lot of these violations are personal vehicles used by government workers. They should absolutely ticket these vehicles as fairly as they ticket everyone else. Being a government employee does not exempt one from the law. It makes sense if a fire truck or a police car blocks the bus lane, but a Cadillac Escalade belonging to an MTA executive?
I worked on this policy. A DOT employee reviews the footage first, and they are instructed not to issue a ticket if a car is in a shared bus/right turn lane.
This is bs. these mf's turn the entire city into a one lane hell. where are people expected to park? Will the city start giving bus drivers tickets that do not stay int he bus lane? they can get in our lanes all of the time slowing down the commute for drivers
@@fanniinnanetguy653 Lmao.. which problem solved? The one where if i dont drive i have to take a 2 hour subway ride to and from queens everyday from the bronx instead of a 25 minute drive over the throggs neck bridge? 45 with traffic? I rode the train most of my life, no more. i dont want to be harassed by dope fiends for money every few stops, bed bugs on the subway seats, people pushing others on to the tracks, everyday stabbings, dirty urine smell everywhere, rats, etc etc etc.. which problem does me not driving solve, genius?
@@fanniinnanetguy653 you are grossly misinformed and clearly not from ny. it has been known since the 1980s that the mta has two sets of books. the public books that show theyre dry. the private books that show the real flow. if you were to type in -mta cooks books - you will see for yourself. they lie about everything. born and raised here State Comptroller Alan Hevesi found that the MTA kept two sets of books--one for the public and one for internal use. Please be aware!! The buses are giving out tickets if you double parked on a regular street. They never mentioned this part, they said just bus lanes at first. I got a ticket while waiting for a parking spot. Nyc wake up.
How does giving a designated lane only for buses in a congested city make sense ? So u put the majority of vehicles in 1 lane and u give the minority vehicle its own lane. Stupid folk out there making these rules
How about the buses drive in the bus lane. An how are you supposed to make any deliveries to any type of stores that have bus lanes. Someone need to explain all this.
The roads were constructed for ALL vehicles. The so called dedicated bus lanes represent government over reach. The MTA should be dismantled and the buses and subways should be privatised, as they once were before becoming nationalised.
truck drivers don't give one flying fu*k. trucks that do deliveries are not going to care. what will happen is that the fines that the companies are going to get. will at some point be pass down to the businesses in question which will than be pass to the customer. so the only thing that this will lead to is the price of doing bussiness in the city getting more costly. this may be in some cses worst than the congesstion pricing. which will make doing business even more of a pain in the a$$ when congesstion pricing does kick in at some point in the near future.
What’s the point of installing all them cameras with our taxpayers money, Because most of the time bus drivers don’t pull to the curb to pick up passengers. Instead they stop in the middle of the road to pick up passengers and have cars waiting behind them. Something have to be done with that.
why on earth would you admit to planning that on tv

Stop in the left lane and block traffic. Walk ove the bus lane to get to the sidewalk 😂😅 ignore everyone honking, at least you won't get a ticket

Hopefully they don't wrongly accuse vehicles legally using the bus lanes to make a turn.
they will.. lol
It's a blue city, how do you think?!

@@liveon-airnews7670 Every one of those problems are related to transit underfunding. The more passengers, the more budget base.

well back to paper plates and obstructive plates just like how NYers do it on the tolls 🤣👍👍

lol I can think of so many routes that people are going to get fines using the bus lane.
The city of New York becoming a money pit the bus and train never on time and now they want to give ticket
Manhattan all day traffic, mean while there’s 2 bus lane are empty. Very good 👍
I hope Alfred didn’t give his actual nom de plume-government name stating Plan B in a recorded interview?

Not all vehicles are created equal. A vehicle that carries tens of people shouldn't get stuck in traffic with those with 1 or 2.

Also to handle the problem with loading the NYCDOT should seriously consider removing street parking.
Imagine this is what Yall voted for
This is NYC. The fines are too low. It should be the same as parking in disability parking space.

What a jerk using a blanket to hide his plate should be a $1000 fine. Just get a trunk that goes up. Plate cannot be seen haha
