Nice revival for the home arcade community! The price isn’t bad and includes shipping. You can pay half ($350) for the preorder. With that said, I think I’m going to wait and see what other cabs they come up with and wait for user reviews. Good for them! Keep ‘em coming.
Unpopular opinion but this is my dream cab since it's peak arcade nostalgia for me.Picked up the trapper keeper art because it screams 90s. Also for people disappointed, if this is successfu, then John can replicate this with the other licenses that 1up has lost. So hopefully something for everyone eventually. Ie.9/10 scale turtles, x men, etc.... P.S. Who is that dangerous looking thug in your thumbnail....
No 3rd Strike artwork option is mildly criminal. Big agree on the design choices for the current artwork. Ugh, why do they always feel they need to cover their cabinets from head to toe with art? But this hits with me hard. I'm a massive fighting game fan and I'll very likely order one of these.🙄
Oh, and I don't think you mentioned this in the video (I'm not 100% sure), but there's a release date on the VMI listing page! "Ship Date: June 6, 2024"
I want the SF2 XXL but it's going to come down to the controls. They mentioned Sanwa "style" and HAPP "like" joysticks which tells me they are still going to be knockoffs. It'll probably be better than A1U though. Sanwa buttons aren't accurate to the cabinet either. I'm struggling because I want it but it won't match my other cabinets.
Meh. More excited about the FU Edition from Glen. Plus, I'm worried about the thickness of the MDF panels. Are they as thick as Arcade1ups, or Iconic Arcades?
I wonder if Knights of the Round will still be 2 players online. I’ll probably pass on this, just because I don’t like Street Fighter. I’d like to see John D make a 3/4 scale CAPCOM cab for Evercade next but this seems to be his ultimate cab. no Darkstalkers or Cyberbots hurts this one, but thats nice the XL collectors get a good SF cab. Its missing the Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper version though

The Kickplate on an Arcade Cabinet isnt the entire front panel. Its the bottom section of the front panel below the coindoor. So the kick plate on an A1up is the front panel of the Riser.

No, Media1UP partnered with Ironic Arcade. John D. has the connections to make stuff happen. Capcom is an easy license to get but I read he got SEGA as well and something else so maybe a Virtua Fighter cab could be a reality. How about a House of the Dead cab with light guns? I was going to make one myself with an Arcade1up cab with the tops cut off and put a TV on top. I have a small flat screen CRT, I could use my Saturn and guns. But the CRT is heavy so I will need to put a good sturdy board on top of the cabinet where the tops are cut off. Or, I could use a small flat LCD tV which is lighter and use Retro Shooter guns or Wii but I tested the Wii guns and they don't track right. They are red and blue shells with red and blue Wiimotes.

The angle on that control panel looks like a wrist killer, always has to be at least one major defect in every design, it looks like its just a1up 2.
