Yup, that was the case! You noticed ✨💚 He did it even though he knew it would weaken him faster. Magnifico was draining his powers thanks to a spell he put on him, however, it made not a great effect at first thanks to his love towards Asha and his power of will. Later on, they would fight Magnifico together, he would try his best to protect Asha but he ends up being absorb by Magnifico and then Asha would be left alone fighting with the magical wand. This is a challenge for her, Rosas, her family and Star boy are now on her hands, they depend on her. The point is, that Asha was learning magic and developed a "magical talent" at a certain point since she is not a magical user, that "magical talent" was taken from her by Magnifico. Earendel gave Asha the opportunity to try and trust, to open her heart and learn about her own wild magic, although, she believed herself to be weak and useless, Earendel shows her she can accept help and she can do great wonders by believing in herself, since he is who he is thanks to her hoping heart that made that Wish :)
It's a bit of a mixture of the original ideas for the movie and some fans rewriting the story and my ideas too. It would be close to the ending we had in the actual movie but more impactful, meaningful, beautiful and Star boy is not staying with Asha hahaha sadly, must go back to the place he came from, but would have a beautiful good-bye :)
You know, that does make sense because of the context of the song I think in the video. Still the fact that that would make a little sad that he leaves as opposed to me feeling almost nothing when plushie star left at the end of the movie speaks to the success of your story to get me invested in the characters.
I will never get over how good it would have been if Ereandel had been singing this song but in his head only, like Tangled. Like, if only we heard his thoughts in this song and she didn’t, yet their hearts and thoughts still synchronise in the song. It would have been so beautiful and shown they didn’t need words to be soul mates
Since nobody is talking about it, i may as well. I LOVE the idea of the beginning of the song in this. That little " Do you trust me? " can be a little nod to Aladin! That's how you add good references!
This is so incredibly beautiful.. 🥹 Why didn't Disney keep with the original concept?! I've never felt so robbed in my entire life. 😟 I was a fan of the film, but then finally got around to listening to the criticisms, and saw what people were saying. Had they kept the film like this, it could have been an incredible film. 😢
