Jenny, You are just the best instructor! Because you don't assume that we understand everything in the quilt world. I just love your tutorials and Summer in the Park if one of my favorites. Thanks for continuing to make these tutorials.
Your tutorials are so helpful. I've watched several, and Summer in the Park is one of my favorite patterns along with Natalie's T-Shirt Quilt tutorial. I love being able to watch a visual explanation that goes along with many of the BLOCK magazine patterns too. Taking patterns that look complicated but are actually easy to sew and quilt revive enthusiasm in the craft. Thank you and love all the new stores too.
I am teaching myself to quilt and find these tutorials most helpful. I started quilting this past October.I have completed seven quilts and am working on a small throw made with scraps.
Made this quilt this weekend. All pinks with white main color. It is beautiful . Thank you for the simplicity of this pattern Jenny ,appreciate all you do.
Jenny, You are an excellent speaker and teacher. I have learned so much by watching your videos. I am new to quilting and I was confused as to how to use the square ruler and you answered my questions so well in this video. Thank you!
Making these blocks right now to make a lap quilt for my niece who asked for kelly green and am having a BLAST. I really like making these though I'm not fond of sewing the strips together (boring) but am really impressed how nicely they come together to make the block! I am doing 3 across and 3 down, all the same. Only 3 strips ..1 solid green, 1 green polka dot and 1 green and white pattern. Background is a pale green pattern. Not sure what border I'll use but just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate this tutorial!!! I have been quilting 1 yr ago today. Its my quilting anniversary. Thanks again.
You are an amazing instructor. Everything you present is so clear and makes so much sense. It makes even beginners feel they can accomplish anthing if we try. Thank you. A new fan for life.
I love your tutorials. You make it look easy without taking an hour to explain how to do it. I am a beginner - just opened my new sewing machine and ordered some supplies. I can't wait to try a few of these. Thank you for posting these quilting tutorials.
so beautiful. Made the summer in the park with Christmas fabric and was very pleased with how it turned out. Waiting for it to come back home from the quilters. Also made a table runner with the left over's... :) TY for all the ideas.
Stumbled across your videos last month and you made it so easy and understandable. So much so that I made my first quilt last month and now am on my fifth one! A lap, baby, queen and now a king- holy moly I am hooked. Thank you so much.
You are such a fantastic teacher Jenny! A huge thank you for this, and all your wonderful videos: I, like many other keen-to-learn quilters I'm sure, really appreciate your dedication and giving spirit in sharing your knowledge in such an open and caring way! X
Hi and thanks a lot for another great quilt! I’m always amazed at all the combinations of blocks you make! And the great thing is they’re easy for us to make! 🌺🌸
I am getting ready to make this quilt just w/ different fabric, but I really would like for you to show how to make that wedding ring quilt in the background of this video also. Thank you Jenny for all the great tutorials!
Thanks for the great idea. I hear you say "there you go" often in your tutorials. When our oldest was a baby I would feed him, set him down and say there you go. So his first words were "there you go". Imagine my surprise. He was wonderful. I have watched lots of different teachers with quilt making but I loves yours the best. Thanks, Allene in Missouri
Love the quilt and especially the blue and light colors of fabrics. Thanks for another great tutorial. Since I've never made a quilt, I think I'll start with the table runner. Huggers!
I made a beautiful quilt using this pattern/technique. I quitted it with machine embroidery quilting designs. For someone who has never quilted before, I was inspired by this tutorial.
I love the quick and easy table runner version as well! I can see another project in my future! I truly look forward to all of your videos. Thank you so much.
Dear Jenny, I love, love your creativeness and I love your videos. This one is just beautiful. You have more fans than you can count and I"m in there too!! Thanks for all you do!!
Hello Jenny, this does look beautiful in the Blue & White 😁 I am total New Beginner to Quilting 😋 so I only have 2 ruler 💙 1 square & 1 rectangle 😋 so this I great for me, not using any special triangle ruler 😁💜 Erica x
I made this but had to add 2 I had 1 12" block left so made a pillextra strips to the jelly roll. All the jelly rolls I have seen only have 40 strips and I needed 42 to get enough to make a 4x5 block quilt like on your wall. After I made all my 12" blocks and put the quilt together I had a block left and made a throw pillow out of it. Cool pattern. Thank you.
Jenny, When I sew in order to do the nesting I use pins. It is wonderful to see how you do not use pins when matching the seams. Would very much like your suggestion on how to learn to not use pins when nesting the seams.
This week I started on one of these. I'm glad the tutorial was revamped because the revision shows how to cut for those like myself that are new to the world of quilting. My edges are not pretty though. I'm going to have to re square my blocks :( I don't know if the edges are not as good due to square moving while cutting or if my seems are not consistently the same size?
Thanks Jenny - the fabrics you've used are so beautiful; I really like blue/white combination, and your quilt and the table runner look stunning. Thanks for the tip you mentioned - any number of strips can be used.... Keep up the good work. God Bless.
Are you guys ever going to show us what the original Summer In The Park quilt looked like all sewn together? Im dying over here! If theres a link for it, PLEASE SHARE IT!!
debra fortney We hope you really get into quilting, and sewing! It really is a wonderful thing! We are glad that you like the tutorials!! Thanks Debra!
I want to use this for a Baby Quilt I need to make for a donation. But, I am thinking I can get a couple quilts from one jelly roll. Wonderful Tutorial. Love all of them, wishing I can take a trip west one of these summers. I would really like to see your stores.
great tutorial. i am just getting started. i recently finished a basic one with squares. i want to make one as shown in this video but dont have a square ruler, should i buy one or can i use the rectangular one. if yes, then how? please suggest. thanks.
I was thinking of making this with a downton abbey sybil double scoop. I can't decide on the background fabric..any suggestions? I thought I would put the small castles as the border and the little letter downton abbey as the binder. Thanks for a tutorial, I hope it is as easy as you make it to be. I love watching your tutorials!
I just loved your Tutorial and couldn't wait to get started. My projekt was a tablerunner out of halloween fabrics. Turned out really nice. The problem is I used black fabric as the backing. When I freemotion stiched the white triangles (top needle thread white and bobbin thread black)a tiny bit of the black thread shows in the stiching.Tension is ok.Should I better use Nylon invisable thread for the bobbin?
Excellent video! Love your detailed instructions & this pattern! I am wondering what the exact color of the background fabric is....looks like a beige, but you talk about blue and white?
Hi Jenny, we are all dying to know how big this quilt is. 4x5 yes. even if we could know how big the squares are. i count them at 6 inches per 1/4 sq triangle, but could that be right? 12" per block. please help, Jenny. You're our only hope!
I have 3 children that I would love to make keepsake quilts for. However funds to do this are in question for me and these projects. So with the keepsake quilt in mind my question is what would be the best batting to purchase for something that I would love to last a very long time? I appreciate your in put. Thanks for your tutorials as they have made the last few months very pleasurable for me, and the color palets are wonderful.
Jenny, You are just the best instructor! Because you don't assume that we understand everything in the quilt world. I just love your tutorials and Summer in the Park if one of my favorites. Thanks for continuing to make these tutorials.
Absolutely love that table runner. The Summer in the Park quilt is one of the prettiest I’ve made, so will definitely try this revamped one.

Anxious to make this project. I am sewing in our motorhome and need simple things that do not require lots of cutting. Thank you for this one.
