The pronunciation of February is interesting to me as a Scandinavian! I hear native English speakers saying "febuary" like you do as well as "february" with the r sounding, which is more logical to me as it is spelled with an R. As I've heard both those different pronounciations by Amercan people, I wonder if it's the same in the UK, that some pronounce it with an R and some don't?
Hello from France! I really enjoyed this video, thank you. Nice to practice and walk along with you in the westend. Keep on that great energy, and take good care.
Hello Tom👋I love this format that allows us to see wonderful spots of London accompanied with the lesson.👍I think you should do more like this✌Well. comfortable is one of my favourite words to pronounce in English. Also, mischievous is another favourite one. Because it reminds me of the iconic Harry Potter line ''Mischief managed! '' Have a nice Sunday ! Greetings from Turkey👋Çağlar Didman
Great video walking around London! Two words I sometimes need to think before saying (and I’m bilingual having been brought up be an English parent in Italy) are: treason, with an /i:/ long vowel sound and treacherous, with a /e/ sound. Two words with a similar meaning but pronounced with different vowel sounds. Isn’t that bizarre?!? 😅 Thanks, Tom. Keep up the great work.
A skedule? How VERY American. LOTS more Brits say misscheevious lad, just LISTEN to them. "On a mat up here." 😉 SO?!? Why do we spell it February and pronounce it Febuary?

In the IPA of February the consonant after the b was missing, but you said it.

Ah, Covent Garden. Sir Alfred Hitchcock brought this area into the museum with Frenzy, didn't he?
Im from California and we say squirrel in 1 syllable, like sqirl or maybe skwirl
I struggle with pronunciation of both Sixth and February and I’m a native speaker of English

February has 4 syllables to me but we dont say the first R.
Sorry, didn't catch any of the words, I was crying over how gorgeous London looks and how much I want to visit again 🥹

In America, we say mis-CHEE-vee-us. Well , some of us do 😅
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sixth.....is it just Americans who say sicks-th? Drop the t-h, I'd say sicks, not sick. So I say sicks-th. Interesting!
Quinoa is not an english word. So it's more likely that you were right before. And I will keep pronouncing the word genre the french way as well....
