Bob always had great screen presence. I remember Hoovie's early videos over there and I was always intrigued by Bob's shop but even more so Bob himself. Hoovie seems to have a special talent which allows him to spot potential in others. The sheer number of channels started with Hoovie's help is proof of that.
It's kinda crazy when you realize how many popular TH-cam channels are based in Kansas and connected to Hoovie in some way. Just by so much of Kansas being so rural you wouldn't expect that many folks to pop off in a concentrated area.

I just think he attracts guys who are honest and work hard. My old boss was like that. He didn't blow his own horn but he attracted guys he called his "asshole buddies" and they were all good guys. So I decided he must be a good guy too.
I wish there were more guys like you and Tyler and the Wizard. All of you know what you’re doing. You guys are honest and that’s becoming harder and harder to find in this day and age. I love the fact that Wichita Kansas has become a huge part of TH-cam car culture. You would think a larger metro area like Dallas might be the 'it" spot, but per capita Wichita is where it's at lol.
Successful sales (assuming you care about happy customers) is about setting expectations during the selling process like Bob does. In the early 2ks I sold cell phones in an area that had some spotty coverage. The people I worked with had frequent returns because of poor reception where as I rarely had any because I set the expectation. I'd find out where they lived and if I knew it would be a problem I'd say "this phone isn't going work well in your driveway or basement, but guess what, you're not buying it for that..."... Customer would agree and it became a non issue....
Tyler might claim to have the dumbest automotive channel on TH-cam but I swear to God that man is a genius. And the fact that he's helped you in the car wizard and so many others is just awesome.

I live in Wichita! Euro Asian is a great lot!... I remember this guy helped get my business off the ground. i was looking for some parts about 20+ years ago for a 1980 Porsche 924 Turbo I had. And he said "You can have the parts you want for $900, or take the whole car for $600".. I bought the whole car and started an ebay business that was all kicked off by this one car that got me started.. I still buy from him today when needed

Turning the car business into something romantic to get views, I feel sorry for the people who take it seriously. All these guys talk about are all the problems they have. They are always vulnerable to instant catastrophic depreciation. This guys business model is quick way to bankruptcy.

Ive always kept the unicorn Saabs in the collection, NOT SELLING them, because historically, values weren't there yet... so Id rather keep em then whore em out! ...finally 2 thousand years later, the dark corner of the auto market where Saab hang out, is finally getting some light, Ive been trying to remodel the biz, go back to my restoration roots and possibly some big boy sales! Very inspiring story, I feel Im in the same boat, we dont have the loot to shift gears, and my customers and followers have been buggin me to YT...?... but yeah, no time (even as an ex media designer)... thanks for the inspiration interview!!! love this shit
