As a former Make a Wish kid. Thank you for what you've done. Believe me when I tell you it means the world to a child going through cancer or whatever it might be. Whenever I look back at the hard times I think of the people like you. That kindness will never be forgotten.

Ed you absolute legend, and big shout out to Tim for answering a video call for the kid as well. You guys would have made that kid's day like you would never understand.

Regardless of that, if the intent of the restoration is to help the valuation of the car, getting a factory refresh or a certified Lamborghini body shop to rebuild the vehicle is likely the best way to do so.
@@silverfin198 If he's looking for highest value to eventually sell later, yeah a factory refresh is he best option. I always vote to make a car your own. A full repaint in a different color will be less valuable than a complete 100% factory refreshed car in theory, but I think Ed would enjoy finally having his orange convertible more than an OEM black car. Plus I think how his Verde Draco car is worth more than it would've been in black since he picked such a unique color and it's the only one in the country. An orange roadster would still be an eye catcher in the future
The make a wish story gave me goosebumps, had a good friend who lost his 10 year old daughter, the joy those kids get from that can't be described in words
I really resonate with collector cars that the owner is not afraid to use. Well done Ed, and thanks for resisting the urge to ship this thing to Italy. That story would have been so much less interesting. The Make-a-Wish connection also is very special.
If I ever buy a car, I'm going to use it and get my money's worth. It was intended to be driven, not parked in a garage and looked at. I will honor the engineers and experience it how they intended.
Ed, you are the greatest orator since ever was ever! Took a lungfull of story and turned it into this amazing essay. Seriously: "Found a rare lambo with low miles but beat body. Some new tires and a wrap, thing's like NEW". You are a God among men sir!
Love everything about this story. The Make a Wish ending is great! And that's what it's all about. I roll with a bunch of fellow exotic car owners and we all try to give back in anyway possible. I can't count the number of times I've let kids sit in my Viper at different shows or even when I'm out and about. We all were once that little kid and being able to put a smile on there face is always something I enjoy. Way to Ed and friends!
Hey Ed, as a kid I played a lot of Need 4 Speed on the Playstation with my aunt and uncle. I fell in LOVE with the Diablo. Then I got a Playstation 2 and played the CRAP out of Need 4 Speed Hot Pursuit 2. Now that I know more about cars my favorite car of all time is the Mercialago in black or orange. To me it was like when you guys saw the Countach in Cannonball and had the poster. Well in those games it was always an F40 vs a Countach or Diablo. Then it graduated to an F50 vs a Mercialgo. Well that and I know for a fact I'm too tall for a Countach. :( That's how they sucked me in. Great job on the make a wish, my little bro was signed up for them growing up. I'm glad to see kids doing awesome stuff like that. Way cooler than asking to go to a theme park lol.
Watching and listening to you is like watching some rich kid eat his ice cream in front of you and tell you how delicious it is but you can't have any because it's just for him because you're special you're a legend in your own mind
It's one thing to deal and work with exotic cars, but that Make-A-Wish fulfilment at the end to me is what it is really all about, sharing these cars and making memories.
It's really, really heartening to hear how y'all (and that includes Tarvarish and Hoovie) give back from y'all's over-the-top car ownership / experiences.
I'm glad this all came together so well! The car looks great, and it's such a beautiful story what you got to do with it! I hope it sticks around in the family!
