I just wanted to come back and say thanks to you, I have passed paper 2 of the test, last year I did the exam and I got stucked on the summary part, but not this year.Thanks to your brilliant strategy and also teaching me how to do the summary. I finished the summary very quickly in less than 40mins.This also gave me enough time to finish other parts on the exam, thanks much sir.Btw I only started watching the video from last night and you explained very well what should be done, respect!!.

When u write the 5. Main points that u paraphrased can u directly write them in the summary word for word or do you have to paraphrase them again a second time
If you've already reworded them, you can add them to the summary as they are. Just be sure to add at least 2 more points and use transitions.
so for the main idea do u have to come up with your own idea based on what you've read. Or do u have to choose a phrase/sentence in the passage?
The main idea will come from the sentences in the passage but you will paraphrase them. You shouldn't rewrite the sentences word for word.

sir i have a question, can i use highlighters (the colourful ones) to highlight sentences in the csec exam? ofc my answers will be in a pen but since they arent rlly looking at the passage, would i be penalized or wrong for using a highlighter to help me identify my points?

Question, I’m always seeing the mentioned of famous directors etc, shouldn’t they be in the summary or just use indsustry or publish?? As it takes up a lot of space .
Usually, you don't need to mention specific names or organizations. For example, you could say "researchers" instead of naming the actual researchers.

How can I keep track of how many words in writing to make it to 120 or not go over. Any tips?
If you practice a lot, you will start to know what 120 words look like. Also, be sure to count the words at the end to make sure you have 110-120.

So basically you can choose points from three paragraphs ?? And get 5 points right?
You will find main points from across all paragraphs--at least 7. Then choose the best 5 and list them (in your own words) to get t easy marks. Then your actual summary will use those 5 plus the others you found (at least seven in total).
