sir when listing the main ideas should it be written in your own words?
Yes, that's what I recommend. That way you show CSEC that you actually understand the points. Also, it makes it much easier to then write the actual summary!

when i identify my five points do they need to be in my own words or just from the story and when im ready to start my summary i change it to my own words?

Hi! Work many papers in entielty and figure out what order works well for you. I would do them in the order presented, but you can tackle them in the order that best suits you.

The only unpredictable section is section B. Maybe you'll have to write an email, a letter, a notice, a report, an article, a memo, etc.

This isn't really summarizing. Here you, you have kinda paraphrased (re-worded), but this is also a necessary skill for writing a good summary.
