**At the end of the circuit making I have reversed the transistor as I
have not connected it correctly.

If you use 12v relay with 5v power the magnetic field which is generated in relay will not be powerful to complete the connection so for 12v relay 12v power is required

The solenoid pins are connected to the circuit.The Switch and the NO(Normally Open) are connected in series with the lamp.The pin in the middle of the two solenoid pins would connect to the Live/Phase and the other two on the other side are to be checked with a continuity tester.If the tester beeps do not connect the lamp Live/Phase to the pin where it beeps.It is the NC(Normally Closed) switch and it will do the opposite work of the circuit.Connect lamp Live/Phase to the other pin(the pin where the tester won't beep) it is the NO(Normally Open) pin and will carry the job without problems.(Remember to connect one connector of the tester to the switch side.)

what is the purpose of your diode?
first, you should understand this ... When current flows through a coil it generates a magnetic field, so when this current is suddenly turned off there is nothing to support the field and it starts to collapse. As it collapses the magnetic lines of force cut through the coil and in order to protect the transistor, you need to put a diode across relay terminals. good luck buddy

Since its a 5V relay , supply voltage needs to be 5v approx . That can be achieved by using an external usb charger . Or an 220v ac to 5v dc rectifier.

Should work ! But using a rectifier is easier as you’ll be having 220v inout already . And batteries are temporary , but if the light had to be mounted on pole , you cant keep changing the batteries every month
