I use to be guilty of that years ago. Call a pest control guy, expect him to just spray everywhere but didn't realize I could get super sick or even die from the chemicals. So now every 6 months I am on his list to just show up. Guys like you Dan are under-appreciated. Great video
Nice video. PPE is a major issue when handling materials and applying it. I mean, when your department of agriculture finds this video. There audit and finds it will be easy to work for them.
Everything you said about costomer thing is so true. First thing I say to customer is not to expect they will ever see another ant around house after one treatment. Have a nice weekend
@@DzuhLRenu Per the Talstar P label, when applying mixed solution, the applicator needs to wear shirt, shoes, socks, pants and waterproof gloves. If applying in a non-ventilated area, applicator will need to wear a resperatory mask.
Nice ya or they say why are they coming out of the wood works like I use repellents man that's what happens or they ask how come they are just walking through what you sprayed when it's non repellent well it'll take a day or two to take effect I swear people don't trust professionals and because there are bad actors out there just makes it harder for the rest of us just trying to help people and make a living doing it. Also some people just don't understand how pesticides work like at all.
@@jsb7546 Or the old “My plumber said it was termites” I’m sorry mam why am I here since the plumber knows everything 😂😂. Most days it’s just funny, but those days when your busy and tired it can cause a real headache
@@justincottrell6928 lol look I won't claim to know anything about plumbing as long as those knuckleheads and the sparkys don't claim they know how to get rid of bed bugs oh just bomb it they said save yourself the trouble of hiring some bug guy like ok then you go and buy 15 different pesticides to switch from to avoid pesticide resistance and keep a proper IPM plan in play. Ya then I go and see if I can install a new outlet in my house and end up shocking myself lol so I guess I'm no better 😅.
I have a problem with a brown widow infestation and they are starting to nest under the cars which makes it even more difficult to get rid of since i normally use fire to burn em and their eggs sachs. But i feel like im losing this battle. Its gotten to the point where im even scared to walk outside and run into their webs because unlike their cousins the black widow, the brown widow leaves their webs open. Any advice?
Hey Dan I have a question I own my own pest control business . I don't do Mosquito Service but I want to start. How does it work on the warranty and is it a one time or a maintenance service. Let me know thanks 👍
It's a maintenance service if you can't get all the breeding grounds under control typically if I go in to do residential I can go around and tell them to get rid of any standing water than go in with a pyrethroid and IGR and just fog it and usually they are good but if they have persistent problems than yes it will be a matinenece thing. If you can't get rid of standing water even with larvicide depending on the situation you may still need to regularly service them I find it really just depends but mostly I'd say it's a matinenece thing. Especially if you have vector trucks and you work for local governing bodies like I'm in Nevada and in the middle of nowhere Nevada at that so me and my boss are the only guys out here so it works pretty well for us even tho we don't do much mosquito work only really by the few ponds in our town are they a real problem but added with the noxious weed work we do for our towns local pd and other parts of the local government and all the general pest services we provide it's not a bad gig. Me personally if I get to own my business one day I'd like to add as much as I can Id like to do disinfection, termite work and fumigation but all good things take time right. Oh and as far as warranty I think every guy is different my boss personally doesn't warranty them but I think he is a cheap ass so.
Hey! We do a every 3 week (21 days) service from April 15- September 30th. We do warrant service so if a customer complains about mosquitoes and it’s right in the middle of the 21 days then we go back for free. But that hardly ever happens
So when your doing mosquito services, where is your ppe?? Respirator?? Goggles or safety glasses??? I work for a big time pest control business and what your doing is very harmful for yourself!!!
Yeah as a fellow pest management professional you should definitely be utilizing proper PPE you mosquito fogged the property without a respirator, gloves, eye protection, trexx sleeves or long sleeve shirt be careful!
Wouldn't it have been better to leave those glue boards that only had about 4 spiders on them because the dead spiders would lure others to get on the boards

Thanks Ross!! Haha yep glad you got that plan and are pest free

Honestly! NO PPE WHAT SO EVER ITS CRAZY! No gloves no eyewear no respirator no sleeves insane
do more of these!!!! very entertaining for me as a technician
Thanks!! Haha yeah some things only pest technicians understand

Gotta love that PPE while doing that mosquito service 😅
Does Talstar require PPE?
@DzuhLRenu when fogged? Absolutely

@@DanTheBugMan liking your light humor there bro
@@DanTheBugMan Dan my man we need the onlyfanz information man!!! Looks like your packing something big🤤
You are absolutely right, they think we have this magical spray once we spray that they should never see another bug ever
Yep!!
As a fellow pest pro I enjoy the content man
It's so satisfying the way the wasps just fall down dead immediately when they get sprayed
Haha right! I don’t know how it works so fast
Great videos and very informative. How long have you been doing pest control?
Great video ,I work for Ehrlich you’re exactly right customers don’t understand at all 🤦🏻♂️
Some days we win, some days we loose.
As long as we are winning more often.
Yep!! 👍
You don’t need to wear protection when dealing with wasps and hornets?
Does Telstar make you sneeze? Anytime I used it I would sneeze like crazy. It was the only pesticide I ever had a reaction too.
What app are you using to do your scheduling?
Could you do a video about yellow sac spiders? A few years ago we had tons of them in my house. It was the stuff of nightmares!
Great video!!
Thank you!!
What’s the square footage of those $49 sprays? I’m starting my own mosquito business, and I’m going over how I’m going to price it out
I think it is crazy to use poison in an apartment. Snap Traps, Glue Boards and exclusion work is the best method in my opinion.
No PPE when handling insecticides?
Or they call back for a respray because they’re seeing “dead bugs” in their house lol. Ya lemme come out and make them more dead haha

Maybe even with flip flops
