Good advice, don't be seduced by marketing, brand or price. See what you can find in the hedges and the rough or buy a selection and try them out on the practice area, putting green and course. When you find something you like then go with that and buy some, always works for me. Better to try before you buy and see what gives you the feel and how the ball stands up to scuffing and remember there are some less fashinable balls out there that are real gems that should not be overlooked.

Jesus man, use a comma occasionally. Punctuation is key.

Putting feel is the key. I don't like too soft as I have a soft face insert on my putter and I like to feel the contact of the ball, but without it being loud or clicky.
AD333/Kirkland/Chrome Soft are balls I've found the best of both worlds for performance/feel.

Does anyone know some of the hardest golf balls?

By feel, each brand will have a firmest option but Titleist's would be Pro V1x Left Dash which will be up there as one of the firmest across the board I'd imagine

easily the worst video I've seen on this topic.. in summary, get what feels right to you, and what sound you like to hear... no other data points mentioned. They make soft balls that feel hard and hard balls that feel soft... they make balls for everyone. YES that is why were here. What does a softer ball tend to do with a lower spin rate? Run further or stop. What should I do around the greens vs off the tee... What compression rating should I match to my swing speed? None of those questions answered... smh

Nowadays, feel is almost completely separate to performance, hence why you can get a firmer or softer feeling ball at any budget. Any differential that people associate with hard/soft balls, one being quicker or spinning more from the other etc, isn't really the case anymore and is certainly nothing even robot testing can uncover without hitting thousands of balls because of its standard deviation, let alone the deviations us mere mortal golfers bring to the table. Compression is similar. The very softest compression ratings may slow down the fastest-swinging golfers, hence why there are very few mid-premium balls with super soft compression. Having said this, although the mental impact of a ball feeling how you want it to is so hard to measure, it is 100% there. It can inspire confidence in your performance that can make a real difference, which is why it's still a consideration, still something that ball manufacturers cater for, and still an important thing for golfers to test.
