IN SHORT THE NEW LOOK OF THE X3 DOESN'T SURPRISE ME ONE BIT. LOOKING LIKE A MIX BETWEEN A IX AND XM IN THE BEST WAYS POSSIBLE WHICH WE ALL CAN AGREE DOESN'T LOOK ANYTHING LIKE PAST BMWS. HOWEVER THE NEWER IDRIVE AND MORE PREMIUM FEEL CAN BE NOTICED AND MORE APPRECIATED, DRIVING DYNAMIC WISE ID SAY IT FEELS FURTHER AWAY FROM A M THAN ITS PREDECESOR DUE TO HOW HEAVY IT DRIVES. POWER FEELS GOOD THO THE CAR IS STILL A BEAST JUST WITH MORE INSULATION AND WEIGHT.

Cheap looking interior. Definitely prefer my current M40i. The performance you notice now is due to the engine not being broken in yet…won’t be as fast just yet.

@@shotzi111 exactly. door handles and buttons, plastic, cpillar is full plastic, dash door tops plastic , lower dash plastic. steering wheel airbag cover plastic, no reclining rear seats. no ambient lighting in the rear door/ door pockets. this is disgusting cost cutting. oh by the way no comfort access on the rear doors and regular 30 model doesnt get tail pipes.

I had a 2020 M40i and now a 2023 X3M. I'm sure this new one still drives great but I just can't get over the styling. The G01/F97 had strong muscular lines, very BMW. The new one looks like an EV and reminds me of the "quirky" cars, popular in the mid-2000's like the Kia Soul and xB. Overall the interior has been cheapened/reduced. No ambient lighting in the back, the doors look pretty bare. Steering wheel is fine though and at least it got some G80 paddles. The whole side of the exterior looks naked. No more fender trim or fake vent. But one things for sure. If there's any car company that can design ugly cars that end up growing on you over time, it's BMW. 😅
These are super good looking to me. Its a XM for half the price, a design that has exclusive luxury elements!

M40i B58 is now M50i and M50i V8 is now M60i :(
Yea not sure why they keep going up! At one point the numbers signified displacement. 28i had 2.8l then 28i were for 4 bangers bmws and finally now you only see 228i which is fwd and on a mini platform!
The numbers no longer signify displacement, but the power level relative to an NA engine. In the case of the M40i they had similar power levels to the older N/A V8 models and the New M50 I6s have a bump in power that puts them more into the older NA V12 range. The M60 is new uncharted territory in terms in terms of power hence the new number.
I agree with you here. The M light...especially for an SUV, is a good place to be and most would be happy with one. I would love a CPO M60I X5...even a low milage CPO M50i X5.
I love the new X3 M50!!! The new X3 drives pretty well too.

Exterior of the new X3 is not appealing, granted the interior looks really nice and more interesting than the previous generation but I value exterior design that makes me turn around and look back at it when I park. The new X3 doesn’t seem like it’d do that for me.
slowspeed so are you saying screw the M5 and get a X5M? If so I think they’re gonna be great deals on 2019-2021 X5M models early next year if not already! I know you don’t like car notes but I think to scratch your itch you’ll need the X5M for a few months or maybe years haha.

I test drove a 21 x5m comp and a 20 cayenne turbo. X5m comp feels so much more raw, sounds way better. Cayenne turbo felt boring but fast

That’s your opinion and not a fact. Although, in my opinion, some of the new BMWs don’t appeal to me aesthetically.

I’d say try Mercedes, something new and since you only keep them for a few years you can always switch up again if you dislike it

Well, I think it’s the same situation from the new Lexus RX and NX… people didn’t like those designs for a while either and now you see them all over..

I prefer opening over fixed glass, however you get a bigger glass and it does look very cool. FYI I currently still have the old x3 lol.

Omg this vehicle is hideous. BMW has gotten so ugly that it’s driving dynamics no longer makes up for it’s unreliable plastic engines and it’s ugliness. The last time that they made cars that people wanted to drive was before 2010. I would switch to Mercedes Benz and Porsche. I don’t watch this channel for BMW content. I know a BMW guy for 11 years now switching to Porsche SUV. He tried his best but previous X5 2024 LCI cheap interior and screen made it for him and ended up selling it. Now imagine this.
Revving a brand new car that's cold = someone that knows nothing about engines.
I bought my X3 new and always had it served on schedule by the dealer. The back differential started leaking at 80,000 miles, and my front differential failed at 85,000 miles. Worst car I ever owned.

This is not it for me but I’m not a fan of sporty SUVs in general. I have a 2017 F25 X3 xDrive35i (N55) that I bought for $27K with 29,000 miles in 2021. It was $57K new and a ton of car for the money and fast enough with all the tech I need including CarPlay. Kind of sucks to get the powerful engine you have to have the sport look since the end of F25.

I'm going to hold on to my 2018 m40i for a little while longer. I'm not a fan of the interior of the new X3's, way too much plastic plus from certain angles, the new exterior design looks awkward.
And I agree, i'm looking at CPO X3m50i's as a potential replacement to my current car.
Need to share the cheaper model it comes in most people can afford the $70,000 one.

The sharper, more aggressive shifts are because of the 48v mild-hybrid system.
that's incorrect, MHD has nothing to do with shifts at all. It literally only helps in start/stop being seamless and you can coast for way longer on highway, mostly it is inside only to satisfy EU co2 regulations tbh. It is not bad, don't get me wrong, but it adds quite a lot of weight as well.
But definitely nothing to do with shifts :) It is just different maping that changes behaviour.
