With only over 300 of the 1250 made you definitely have worked on a high percentage of them and supplies parts for a lot more of them. Those were the days when tractors were pure mechanical items and not lumbered with ecu , sensors, add blue and other elements of design that just dont work well with dampness and corrosion that comes with years of use. Good to see the large Red Emergency breakdown Suzuki on call and got the gears sorted on the 390..
7.11 "More tea vicar ? No Thank You makes I burp" 😂😂 must confess I was secretly hoping u might get that 165 in soon ? I admit it won't sound quite like the 1200 / 1250 though. Cheers, Poth.
Do you know much of the history behind the individual tractors Dave? Would be interesting to know what part of the country they were sold in and what they were used for? The only one I knew of here in mid Cornwall was used on a forager I think. The farmer emigrated so I don't know where that one is now. He was one for getting the most from his tractors, putting turbos on Massey 165's, and fitting saddle tanks to give more oil in the back end for tipping trailers!
Soon enough, you will have refurbished every 1250 on the planet! What next then I wonder? Cobble together a Massey Dave FrankenMassey from various remains and other bits and bobs? A one off of epic imagination?
